The reason khan academy is amazing is because it appreciates scientific concepts and phenomena as something to be appreciated and marvelled at, not mugged up

Mr Sanders, its a pleasure to see you enjoy learning medicine. Im a first year medical student in a caribbean medical school. I was raised in Cuba, where most of my family members are physicians themselves. Where people have absolutely no access no medical supplies, medications, xrays, where my aunt died from there being no doctors to see her in an emergency, where my uncle went blind from there being no electricity to have the operating room available for ocular emergencies..these r the routine cases in Cuba..where there is "free medicine". Socialism/communism is the saddest, most diabolical system humanity has practiced..believe me..i have read Carlos Marx etc..i only wish it would actually work..u are either profoundly ignorant, naive, or simply..a hippocrite. May God bless you 🙏
Khan Academy has saved my butt more times than I can count. It helped me re-learn all the math and science I had forgotten when I decided to go back to school.
Actin and cancer migration and metastasis is what Im studying for my PhD! :D Amazing movement of the cells, you have to see them live to appreciate the sheer dynamic of the cells and all the ruffles and protrusions, woven around.
In Brazil,we learn about cytosqueleton in high school, and overall about the cell in quite some depth. However most of it fells like dry and useless. Knowledge uncontextualized
I always have on question. Is the cell structure predetermined like our body ... (we have an exact location for liver, hearth, lungs, arms etc) or is random determined by molecular entropy ? Are the organelles position, number encoded predetermined or random ?
maybe like microtubules in cells, something holds the organs in the exact place in every human being ,we just haven't discovered it yet ,maybe sometime in the future the answer will be clear
i am chemistry study.but i have to study zoology in 2 semester in last days i think i am not able to pass this subject. khan academy help me alots i love khan academy keep do this work you guys are really great.
Are you sure the cytoskeleton filament you highlighted is the microfilament? The peach colored filaments look more like microfilament to me. The one you highlighted looks more like the intermediate filament.
Apparently, he doesn't have a Ph.D., but he did obtain his Bs and Ms degree at Massashutes Institute of Technology (MIT), which is considered to be the best university on earth ;)
SBHAN ALLA human is enough proof for god existence, how after you sew all of this amazing perfection in our cell which is the smallest dynamic entity! in our creation you still think “It dovlept by it is self or it has started from nothing!!” you guys don’t see your self that’s crazy give it a thought, ISLAM
why didnt you just mention intermediate filaments as well? probably would have added another 2 minutes along with the microtubules as well as what they are composed of

I agree!
God I love Khan Academy

Chickabeast a very convincingly cogent and well thought out argument

I love this presenter! You have the best voice/gifted gab for videos not making me fall asleep :-)
Holly Beri you should check out his physics ones; he's a life-saver :')

Khan Academy is my go-to every semester that I have biology because no teacher explains it this well!
You saved me! My textbook made no sense and you explained everything in 6 mins, Khan Academy you’re awesome!
Unbelievable I had to wait until the first year of a Biology degree to find out the cytoskeleton even existed. A level Biology is rubbish

Khan academy might actually be the most awesome thing ever in the world..

Very creative way of showing this painting to teach about how complex our cells really are. Fascinating!
your voice is so soothing

khan academy is so valuable to everyone
Are you sure the cytoskeleton filament you highlighted is the microfilament? The peach colored filaments look more like microfilament to me.
The one you highlighted looks more like the intermediate filament.
thin peach-colored are actin filaments, the darkest one is an intermediate filament, and the thick light blue is microfilaments
goddamn this is mesmerizing
more videos on cytoskeleton, please
this is so cool, cell is amazing, thank you for your explanation!!
Awesome explanation. *suggestion: use "Pen" instead of "arrow" mark in mouse pointer.
I love khan academy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could you give a link to the image you use in the video?
i done learned me some cell structure today son! err, i mean. Thanks for the lesson! :D
thank you very much.
God 😇🙏👼 bless you l
All😃😃😃
You are fascinating with all these videos this is alot of help. Are you receiving your phd? And if so in what?

amazing work
So all cells have myosin. Would it be Myosin I? and actin?
love it...
Says 6-7 'nano'metres, biologists call it 'micro'filament
cooooooooool
Cells have a skeleton how cool is that :D
What about the intermediate filaments?
Thank you
v informative

Can't u put your different colors on hot keys like 1 2 or 3
I actually didn't think this one was that good. They have another one that's better.
