    I have been using NBG95 at 23lbs and didn’t change it since February and I have pretty decent touch at the net and power in smashes and clears so the exbolt 68 will be a significant step up.

    Since my preferred tension is 27 and above, i felt 63 was just too sharp when hitting hard, like the shuttle went too wild hahaha
    65 has the best feeling for me, easily recommended for tension 27-28
    68 is surprisingly similar to 65, only feels slightly stiffer, so i increase the tension 1-2 lbs
    I use 65 on my even balance racket for control play, and 68 on my head heavy racket for power play

    I recently changed my string from BG80 to Ex68. My preferred tension is 28x30. I just feel the soft touch and netting is better on Ex68. BG80 still produce better repulsion.

    • @MoreThanASwing
      @MoreThanASwing  2 месяца назад +2

      We can agree to disagree here. but i dont like the feeling that BG80 gives. Its too "stable" and i almost dont feel the excitement of hitting a shuttle. and because of that, i dont feel that it gives more repulsion than the 68.

    Awesome! I just started to try the ex65 but also have my other racket on bg80. Would you say the ex68 is similar to bg80 being both is .68 string? I think I might just go ex68 as most durable and newest tech so might be better overall

    • @lamp6909
      @lamp6909 2 месяца назад

      honestly there isn't any string that's like the bg80(the wooden plank feel) Bg80 Power has a bit of the 80's feeling, but it's an entirely different string after a few games. The 68 feels a lot like a much stiffer Nanogy 95, stiff but has a really damp hitting feel. I recommend trying all three exbolt strings since people who like them usually instantly switch to the Exbolt string they like, but there are cases where people just hate all three EXB strings.

    If you like exbolt 63, you might like exbolt 68. Exbolt 65 is more for those who enjoy control strings but want more repulsion. ( if you come from standard aerobite but dont often do slices this string maybe better siuted to you( i know some players enjoy aerobite for what its nice feel more than because they do slices)) Exbolt 65 from my experience is a “make it or break it string” you either like it or hate it. Theres no in between. I havent tried exbolt 68 because personally i love thin strings more than thicker.

    • @MoreThanASwing
      @MoreThanASwing  26 дней назад

      There is no right or wrong answers with tension - there are equal pros and cons for going higher or lower. The most important thing is to choose a tension that best fits your playstyle. Going higher will demand a lot more from you - which sometimes can be a bad thing (Snaps easily. I also strained my shoulder once when I played with a high tension racket). So it really depends, but go with your gut feel!

      Using 63 makes the sweetspot kinda small to me so I need to hit really precise in order to generate power, 65 is more forgiving than 63 but I still feel like the sweetspot kinda been narrowed down a little.
      My alternative for each exbolt string:

    how do they rate on the control parameter…in which one is the control/net play best…how does it compare to aerobite boost

    • @MoreThanASwing
      @MoreThanASwing  21 день назад +1

      In our opinion - the Exbolt 68 had the most "bite". It has the coarsest string, and so will hold onto the shuttle longer than thinner/smoother strings. Naturally, the Exbolt 63 is the thinnest and also the smoothest string, so it rates lower for control. Aerobite boost is a mix of control and durability because of its unique mix of a thin/smooth string Aerosonic String, paired with a thicker/coarser high-intensity nylon multifilament core with a Vectran super fiber and a polyurethane coated string. We're not fans of the aerobite boost because the thinner Aerobite cross strings will most definitely snap quicker than the main strings, PLUS the thinner string will constantly be cutting the main strings, resulting in an easy snap.

      Alright, i'll trry to do a video on strings. but there are just soooooo many things to review.
      however, i can say that the 65TI and the 68 are very different strings. the 65TI is way more durable. but the 68 offers more repulsion. in terms of the feeling, the 68 is also more "reactive" and "exciting".
