I have a leak right where this switch is only leaks when engine running, strange that the oil light goes away when I use the throttle but hey I'm no mechanic. I saw this and was relived that it is easy to do and not a serious problem at least it isn't leaking from the engine block so will get part and fit it myself.... Happy days thanx for video really helped

Did you find that you only needed the change the sensor and not the plug part as well?

I just went to the mechanic apparently it’s the sensor hats wrong with my car. Reason being because the light comes on and comes off b ! And there’s enough oil in my car and I can’t see No leakage. The sign my car indicates is that “ there’s no oil “

I bought my daughter a 2008 Corsa Breeze and shortly after getting it had to replace the Oil Pressure switch (oil everywhere in the engine compartment). All seemed fine but now (started today) the Oil Pressure light has come back on...surely cant be another pressure switch....only been 3 months since the last one...oil levels etc are all correct....any thoughts appreciated.

this car is petrol or diesel ...?

The engine (Astra H 1.4 MK5 Petrol) low pressure light turns on intermittently (especially during low speed) then turning on/off like disco lights only to go out at high speed.
Do think its a sensor issue?

Hi Pratik, did you find the solution to this? I also have the same car as you 1.4 astra and that light is bugging me. Comes on and stays on when driving slow but disappears when your driving in speed. Please let me know thanks

      @@talha9676 Hello.
Yes it was the same issue 🙂 and it worked by replacing the pressure switch as depicted in the video. Got it from eBay and here's the link : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221798772367
Hope it works for you as well. Also please get it replaced asap, I got lazy and learnt it the hard way 😁, there was a major oil spill in my engine bay owing to the pressure valve failure. So apart from changing this I also had to top up my engine oil 😁. Take Care.

@@prabeta I bought the same one already and replace it yesterday however the light still remains on. I am so confused right now. Would you suggest to use an OBD reader and clear the error? I bought this car from auction 6 months ago and the light has been on since then, I replaced the switch only yesterday.

@@talha9676 Sorry to hear it did not work for you. Do you not see any change in the pattern? Maybe it will go away eventually if not I suggest you get an expert advice. There could be so many other things which can go wrong.

@@prabeta it's not as regular and frequent as it used to be non stop, before it would come on straight after starting the car and now after a while it comes on and goes away. Its helped a little bit but still present I suppose

This leak pushed oil around my engine loom into my ECU, I would have it checked out or you get all kind of codes and runs like garbage.

Certainly the Twin Port engines - I have Tigra B and this thing was dripping oil like crazy... Even a little while after it was switched off.
