This was beautiful, I believe he always looked at Brianna as a baby, bc that 1st picture he saw of her as an infant he stared at it. Like he imbedded it in his brain. I wish the ending would of been different but it is what it is. Diane’s books are so large 13 episodes aren’t enough. Jmo they should almost do 2 seasons for 1 book. Again jmo .
I agree. The books are huge. Ive read them over 10 times through the years. Was so excited about the series and have loved it. I do wish they had the.opportunity to do a longer season so that the series could reflect the books more deeply.
I believe a couple of more episodes in the season would be perfect, like season one. That way we could become more invested in the characters and situations. Why can't they add two more episodes????!!
This was so touching! Poignant. Sophie really looks very much like a cross between Sam and Caitriona. I wonder why they didn't have her wear blue contacts....
The series unfortunately did not have time to truly develop the relationship between Jamie and Brianna. However, the novels do show how their father daughter love deepens. Hopefully, Season 6 will allow for more beautiful moments.
@@samantahernandez7928 come on, Roger is just human. Jaime is the king of men, we all knew, but why every character must be like that as well? Try to imagine a boy raised in the 1900's just going back in time, it's normal I think that he reacts how he did, every "normal man" would do that, let's be serious. I like him especially for that, because he's normal but also caring, loyal and special at the same time.
@@rene3759 Brianna doesn't talk to Jamie in the entire final episode. Although she does not see him as a father, she lived with him for weeks and knows that he spent months looking for Roger. Not Even a single gesture of cortesy. The most absurd thing is that she tells Murtaugh that she forgave Jamie, but she never tells him. The big problem is that the television adaptation simply decided to do things differently. In the book, Brianna and Jamie spend more time together. Even he teaches her Gaelic. They fight the same, but in the end he is present at the birth of his grandson and they spend a nice time together. In the show they decided to give importance to other situations, such as the history of the French priest. Be honest. What contributes most to the plot? The terrible experience of the priest, the psychology game at Yocasta's table or the connection between father and daughter? Unfortunately, time cannot be returned and Brianna's delivery, attended by Claire and supported by Jamie, is something that will never be seen on screen. And hopefully the relationship between father and daughter will become more harmonious and affectionate, because Brianna will look very bad if she continues to treat Jamie like a stranger, while he financially supports the Mackenzies.
I think there are glimpses where she looks at him with affection but it really IS heartbreaking. He really loves her so much. He longed to meet her....and truthfully she...him, and yet....the Roger mistaken identity thing just ripped it to hell.

Arleen Rutten so true and what I love about the book ! If you look at the dedication in the front page it’s dedicated to tony gabaldon she says it’s a tale of fathers and fatherhood I’m inclined to agree . Like Brianna I call my father da trust me it’s a Celtic thing as both Scottish and Irish children do this to this day I’m of Irish descent and my Irish cousins call their fathers this !
It is very sad that the final episode does not present a reconciliation between Jamie and Brianna. In fact, they changed the scene of the book where Brianna gives birth aided by her mother and with the moral support of her father. They preferred to make a generic and unattractive scene of a woman giving birth. Sorry, bad adaptation.
LJO 1977 I missed that also. They have time restraints with 13 episodes...also obviously are going to slip over the angst between Bri and Roger as they reacquaint themselves.
I too wanted to see Claire and Jamie to be by Their daughter as she gave birth. I did not like the slap because yes Jamie said harsh words but he hitting and slapped are not the answer
I found this disturbing too! At least in the book he coached her and held her after the birt h and even got to kiss the back of her neck by the ear (like in his dream) hopefully the writers will correct fix this somehow next season. In the book Jamie and Brianna became very close and he and Claire adored their grandchild. He was a damn good grandpa. It does bother me though that they put other situations of less importance before this very special family. Claire and Jamie are the heart of this series and need to be brought back front and center again.
The birth scene in the book was so much better....I still laugh when I think of Jamie wondering if he should rush outside and kill a dog.....hot dog...lol

Jaime is one of my all time favorites. I really hated Brianna in that moment when she told him to go to hell. I know she did it out of anger but he is her father and he did not know it was f***ing roger he was hitting. but except for that scene I like her.
Think of this from her perspective. You’ve been heart broken and violated. You find out you’re pregnant not knowing who the father could be. Your video was amazing, however, I have one sniggly issue. The video was showing how much alike Jamie and Bree are, and you used a lot of scenes where they are alike. At 3:34 you show Bree after Bonnet's attack. I think it would have been interesting if you had a clip of Jamie at Wentworth or after he was rescued showing both Jamie and Bree have been through similar things. I hope you don't take that as a huge criticism. It wasn't meant to be. I just think the comparisons between father and daughter should have included that.
thank you! and that's true, it would have been an interesting parallel to make! sometimes it's hard to think of everything of course. but no, I don't take it as criticism 😉
Her feelings towards him would be justified if he did not care about her or abandoned her or miss treated her. But that was not the case. Jamie was as good a father to her as Frank was. As a matter of fact, Jamie gave up everything, his wife and daughter who he valued more than his own life, to save her life and her mother’s life. Frank would have done the same thing, but Jamie actually did do it, and unlike Frank was not rewarded with being able to raise her. I am not trying to take anything away from Frank, but her feelings towards Jamie are completely unjustified. Before she was even born he had already given up more for her than Frank ever did. Brianna is just like Jamie in terms of her temper, but he was far more kind, forgiving, and understanding, than her. Jamie frequently risked and was willing to sacrifice his life for others. Brianna would never have done even half of what Jamie has done. Her worse bad trait is her self righteousness, which she got from her mother. Although Claire became an amazing woman, when she first went back to the 1700s she was extremely arrogant and self righteous just like Brianna. Claire changed over time and I hope that Brianna does as well. I hope that, just like Claire, she changes over time.
I keep thinking of how Brees rape must have affected Jamie after the trauma he had to deal with because of BJR. I imagine it was more than a trigger.( Same when Claire was attacked..) what he did was very understandable. How multiplied his rage was
People in the comments don’t like Brianna and Roger, while I'm loving them, huh. I think y'all have never seen good character writing. A character isn’t always supposed to be this perfect and innocent, like Claire, I still love Claire tho, but if it’s realistic the character has to be a bit messy. On top of that people call Roger selfish because he had to think about giving everything up in the modern world and raising a child that may not even be his own in the 18th century? He did the right thing in the end, people are allowed to think about major life decisions, not everybody has to the perfect character that immediately leaves everything behind for that one person. And Brianna? I really don’t see why people dislike her? Because she got angry at Jamie for almost killing the love of her life? Even tho he did it on accident, I still understand how frustrated she must have been. Or for threatening the Lord so he would marry her? Imagine you're months alone in an environment you don’t know with people you don’t know, you're freaking pregnant and everybody is pressuring you to marry. Of course it wasn’t the best decision, but she just wanted to look out for herself and her baby and she realized herself that it was dumb.
When she finds out Roger was sold to the Mowhawks, I was really hoping he would break the chair LA Confidential: Buzz White style. If you never seen that movie to have a gander.
I did the book's and the part with Brianna her love for her Da and Roger her husband and her mother Claire is Brianna's power Brianna's strength Brianna's soul Brianna is a Fraser and Brianna is the hold of the family like her mother and her sister in law. Brianna like her Da is a true Highlander and Sophie was made for girl that turned into a woman and beat the one thing we all fail to see or to be ( LOVE )
It was difficult to watch. Brianna should have told Lizzy what happened. Claire should have told Jamie about Bonnet. Poor Roger could have been spared a lot of grief.
Genuinely i do not like Brianna at all. Haven't read the books but in the show she's irritating. Doesn't tell the truth (regarding the Bonnet/Roger clusterfuck) and gets mad at Jamie and Young Ian for avenging her. Of course the matter is of the kind you do not wish to talk about, but only she knows the real truth. Yes, they beat up the wrong guy which is of course sad, but should they have known? Goes on a slapping spree calling his dad a savage and all only because they were unaware of the facts. Then we have Lizzie who thinks she is telling the truth but actually she just happens to start this whole mess. And this "No you do not get to be angrier than me" like wtf as if it was some kind of a contest. Jamie realizes he's made an enormous mistake, let's it out and Brianna starts telling that kind of things. From Brianna to Karen real quick.
Hm I get why this makes people dislike Brianna, but I've said horrible things to people when I was angry and I don’t think that I'm a bad person. Yes, it wasn’t right of her, but I wouldn’t start disliking a person or character because they once behaved awfully and then never again. From what I can tell she’s a good person, for God’s sake she was raped and is probably still traumatized from that, traumatized people behave differently and more intense in heated situations. I think it’s weird, in shows or movies we judge characters more easily, in real life you behave badly and then you move on with no bad blood. I hate violence and I definitely think she could have behaved differently, but you don’t behave perfectly when you’re angry, I think we all know that.
I was not impressed with the character Brianna or the acting of Sophie. Last season was a drab to get through so I’m hoping this season will be better and hopefully Sophie has taken some acting classes. 🤞🏽
yes they could share more similarities but I think it terms of temperament and characteristic they are alike. Bree could let her mother go willingly out of selfless love jus as Jamie did for both of them. She challenges his authority bc she’s strong willed w a stubborn temperament jus like her parents. People who want to get offended bc she slapped her father seem to forget that Jamie also said “you foul mouth bitch” to Claire when he was angry at her and still beat her too. You can blame that all on the century but the comparisons in Bree and Jamie’s character is there. She challenges him jus as much as he challenges her, she’s his daughter you can tell. Y’all also seem to be forgetting that she was raised by frank not Jamie, Jamie is jus her father by blood, she hadn’t even known him long enough.
One thing i don't get is why is Frank in the present time when he fought Jamie in the war in the past? Is that his ancestor cause they are played by the same actor?
Rosalie and that’s fair enough I didn’t warm to her at first either took me until she accepted Jamie as her father that I began to warm to her and that wasn’t till the end of the third book !! But after she started calling him Da I liked her because I do the same it’s a Celtic thing common in both Ireland and Scotland to refer to your dad that way ( I’m of Irish descent ) that said once their relationship is healed I thought she’s truly Jamie’s daughter has both his and Claire’s best and worst traits has Jamie’s selfless love for Claire her impulsiveness and intelligence but also has Jamie’s temper and courage but even Diana admits Brianna for her is one of her toughest characters to write so that says a lot !!
Outlander had two magnificent first two seasons but sadly it just went downhill from there. Now it's filled with characters I couldn't care less about who are played by below average actors in some cases. No matter how hard I tried Roger and Brianna just did not grow on me. They are bland and lack depth and I think it's both due to the writing and the actors picked for the role unfortunately. As much as I'll always love Jaime and Claire, I think it's time to move on for me 💔
HER CHARACTER IS HORRIBLE! SHE'S NOTHING LIKE HER FATHER, EXCEPT HER HAIR COLOR? THEY'VE REALLY TURNED HER INTO A MONSTER. AND, CLAIRE DOES NOTHING! WATCH IT AGAIN UNTIL YOU GET IT. SHE'S AWFUL TO HER MOTHER, ROGER, JAMIE, HER GREAT AUNT, IAN, AND JOHN GREY. A SPOILER FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL SERIES. SORRY FOR THE LARGE TYPE. IT'S BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE WELL RIGHT NOW. NOT ANGRY
Too bad Brianna treats Jamie like garbage stabbing him in the heart with her my koolaid daddy walks on water 🗡 every 5 seconds never intending on giving him a chance
@Genie Blue well Jamie didn't abandon Brianna he had no choice and here's a idea stop going on and on about messiah daddy Frank walks on water 🗡 and bond with Jamie
@Genie Blue The lusting over Jamie is hilarious to the point that people can not look outside the box. All over social media some of the comments about how Bree treats Jamie is crazy .....This child is angry and she needs time to process this, she comes from a high strung family and they all have said and done things that seemed unforgivable especially that damn Dougal and we see how he went out
This is a great point of the Biological kin Jamie a dangerous and calming man a fighter a worrier Brianna a secret quite Dangerous woman a worrier woman a rememberer a loving protective woman a woman that can turn cold and fighter killer Brianna is her father Jamie Jamie is his Daughter and together they can make half the world shack with the deepest Fear that God would back down to them Them Add Claire and Brianna's Sister in law And both Roger and Fergus plus plus Len now you have world ownership
Jamie and Claire’s “great love” is just a product of rejection trauma they both experienced in their childhood: they lost parents early enough and didn’t receive enough love, that’s the only reason of this toxic codependent relationship. I am however impressed how logically this story is

She is always angry at her father and it's not fair , and Claire doesn't help them .
I love this story line I'm so drawn to it!

Can I just point out how she went from Ren the girl with a mark to this?
When she finds out Roger was sold to the Mowhawks, I was really hoping he would break the chair LA Confidential: Buzz White style. If you never seen that movie to have a gander.
Magnifique vidéo 💗 merci beaucoup dommage que Brianna ne sache pas que Jamie l'aime plus que tout avec Claire bien sûr ♥️♥️♥️
Merci beaucoup ❤️❤️❤️
After all, she looked like Jamie's father
Tão lindos .....amo está série ! 😘😘😘
I did the book's and the part with Brianna her love for her Da and Roger her husband and her mother Claire is Brianna's power Brianna's strength
Brianna's soul
Brianna is a Fraser and Brianna is the hold of the family like her mother and her sister in law. Brianna like her Da is a true Highlander and Sophie was made for girl that turned into a woman and beat the one thing we all fail to see or to be ( LOVE )
Who knows it please how many staggers the series has... I sow only 3 staggers 😔
Pareja perfecta sam y briana
Hermosa serie pero cuando trae neflix la siguiente temporadaaaaa?
Ojalá pronto
Thought this was a shipping video for a second, lmao
The Fraser motto "Je Suis Prest" should be changed to "it's complicated". ;-) Beautiful work!
What child slaps their father and calls him a bastard. She doesn’t know Jamie well enough for that s#%$. It’s so disrespectful. Ugh!!!
It was difficult to watch. Brianna should have told Lizzy what happened. Claire should have told Jamie about Bonnet. Poor Roger could have been spared a lot of grief.
I totally agree. Secrets/Truth always comes sooner or later. Have a wonderfully awesome day 😀
Hm some people don’t hold their anger as well, it wasn’t okay, but that doesn’t make me dislike Brianna.
I think she is a very good Brianna and she is so much like Jamie her father.
Claire was wrong to keep the truth from Jamie.
She shouldn't have slapped him🙄
I’m on S3 E8 7-13-19 2:36 am
Yes, it is his ancestor, Black Jack Randall, and he is played by the same actor because it's sort of a point that he looks exactly like Frank Randall
@@tychogoedhart286 thank you
I just hate how Roger gor so much more protagonism than Brianna. HE IS BORING
I am looking for people who just like me don't like Brianna 😂
I agree,,I'm one of those people.
Rosalie is it just the character or the actress just curious I like both but you’re free to disagree with me !
I don´t like Brianna
@@michelleflood8220 just character
I'm sorry is this is ship??
Good god no, it’s just a video about their father daughter relationship
@@windshieldlaugh7411 OH- sorry, I had a misunderstanding ;w;
As much as I'll always love Jaime and Claire, I think it's time to move on for me 💔
You just expressed what I think really well.
I couldn’t agree less to be honest, Brianna and Roger's relationship seems realer to me and right now I'm more interested in their story.
@@windshieldlaugh7411 Good for you. I've moved on entirely from this show.
😣😞😐
SHE ACTS JUST LIKE JAMIE AND CLAIRE AND DOUGAL AND JENNY AND COLLUM IT IS IN HER BLOOD...AND LET US NOT FORGET AUNT JOCASTA'S MOUTH .....LOL
@@virgoqueen8950 whatever agree to disagree
@Genie Blue well Jamie didn't abandon Brianna he had no choice and here's a idea stop going on and on about messiah daddy Frank walks on water 🗡 and bond with Jamie
@Genie Blue The lusting over Jamie is hilarious to the point that people can not look outside the box. All over social media some of the comments about how Bree treats Jamie is crazy .....This child is angry and she needs time to process this, she comes from a high strung family and they all have said and done things that seemed unforgivable especially that damn Dougal and we see how he went out
@Zoey Brown don't think DG would care
This is a great point of the Biological kin
Jamie a dangerous and calming man a fighter a worrier
Brianna a secret quite Dangerous woman a worrier woman a rememberer a loving protective woman a woman that can turn cold and fighter killer
Brianna is her father Jamie
Jamie is his Daughter and together they can make half the world shack with the deepest Fear that God would back down to them
Them Add Claire and Brianna's Sister in law
And both Roger and Fergus plus plus Len now you have world ownership
I just like Lord John Grey I hate everybody else
Não gosto dos personagens Briana e Roger. Não me cativaram
Jamie and Claire’s “great love” is just a product of rejection trauma they both experienced in their childhood: they lost parents early enough and didn’t receive enough love, that’s the only reason of this toxic codependent relationship. I am however impressed how logically this story is
What should happen in the 5th season. Roger and Brianna characters needs to be replaced.
Sunny Days 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don’t like Brianna and I dislike watching scenes with her in it except for the first time she met Jamie.
You will learn love Brianna when next season come. In the books she is a powerfull woman, an amazing chraracter.
Why do I find this actress so annoying.
