Never forget that in a song battle it's not about playing the best or playing the hardest, it's about playing what stands out the most while tying everything together. Because music isn't about intricacy or skill, it's about what makes the nicest sound.
This is amazing! by seeing the notes being played, I can see the battle itself. David's notes are all in formation, lockstep with each other. This is the visualization of David's belief in musical order. Then we see Gary's musical style is unorderly, no patterns are seen as his hand appears to dance lightly across the keys. David sees this as 'discordant' as it follows no pattern, but in the hands of Gary we see that this unorganized and freeflowing tune answers, and rather than overpower *matches* David's own rigorous patterned music. It is at this point, where order and chaos intersect, in the middle of the screen, that we see the victor. Despite his chaotic musical nature, Gary proved that his way of thought was right by matching David's music better than any other format he himself could add to it. Music should not be confined to order, as order is only one side of the coin. Music should include both.
I love how you can see the difference, one has many "far" and separate notes while the other has atleast small bridges between notes and closer together
This is so well edited... The subtleties nobody else would notice with the opacities that make all the difference... You deserve all the views and subs for this; you are so amazing!

The writing in this song was so damn fire bro. Like David has rights, dude comes in, banger intro. When they play together its easy to see Gary win the melody and push against Davids rights, as they continue in the battle, the climax is the very thing David cant handle, causing him to stop playing.
