  • Vintage vocal duo, Flanagan & Allen, singing "Music, Maestro, Please!". It featured on a 78rpm compilation in 1942, but it was originally recorded in 1938, when I think the song first appeared.
Vintage vocale duo, Flanagan & Allen, zingen "Music, Maestro, Please!".
Weinlese-Gesangsduos, Flanagan & Allen, Gesang "Music, Maestro, bitte!".

This was played at my grandparents' diamond wedding in 1999 and my grandad had a tear in his eye. Great song.

A new one on me Steve. Not a bad number, I'm surprised it wasn't covered more...

+IVORIESMAN It was covered quite a bit by big bands in its day, but after the 30s/40s it seemed to disappear.

Originally recorded in 1938 Steve, not one I've heard from them before though Tommy Dorsey recorded a big selling version in the same year

+ferrarial Thanks Al. - that confirms my thoughts - as I heard this song done by a big band in definite 30s style.
