    I have the OG Eliminator Double Pedal for the past 15 years or so. Though about a year ago I discovered ACD and Dennis's upgrades. So now I'm using the Direct Drive Mod, Spring Angle Mod with heavy springs, ACD Bar upgrade, Beater offset and beaters and now it's a whole new world. Way smoother and easier to use. I'm so happy with the ACD Upgrades I'm on the waiting list for his double pedal.

    I've been using Eliminators for 10+ years. In the beginning I experiented with them a lot, then I found the "perfect spot" and kept those settings for years. I had a belt drive, and I used blue cams, but the purple cam was the one for me. The red ones were too just too much.
    For me the purple has the right balance between feel and beater action. (I'm using swivel technique, and mostly play around 140-200 bpm)
    I just recently got a an ACD direct-drive upgrade, and I must say it's a whole new world! :)

    I've been using the Eliminators for about 20 years. I had the old ones, and now I have the redlines with the trick crossbar. I've used the white/clear and yellow cams the most. Now, since watching your latest videos, I'll admit I started tinkering more with the pedals.
    My favorite settings:
    Powershifter in the light position for all cams
    My favorite cams are yellow, purple and white in that order. Yellow cam: I like a tight spring tension almost all the way tight. It's a bit of a slow cam, so it benefits from the higher tension.
    I'm using purple currently at a loose/medium tension set up to my body weight. I can play faster than with the yellow cam, and I can do more, but my playing isn't as precise as it is with the yellow cam. All the cams are trade offs, you'll always lose something to gain something else

      @kingdick8390 yes, the heel plate is all the way towards you will put the Eliminator in the light position. I've been using the red cam now at about 80% tension.

      @kingdick8390 All the way forward is my least fav. The middle spot is the factory setting. But the light position is best for me. Idk. Everyone is different, every leg and foot is different. My suggestion is to mess around with different settings and then leave it alone. Tinkering can make you crazy.

    I also use the Pearl Eliminator pedals. It has always been my dream pedal, especially because of the cam system. I used to dream about the settings I would use once I get them, how faster I would play thanks to the red cams. Once I finally got the pedal, I tried every cams except the black ones, because why would I use boring, normal round cams when I got the " radical progressive " cams that are so much faster and more powerful ?
    Until that day when I finally deigned trying the black cams, just to see how superior the other ones were. Turns out they never left the pedal since. So yeah, black cams for me.

  • @aubreykharkongor3718

    I find the blue one works well for my technique. The red cam feels light on the initial stroke ( which is good). But it's a bit too agressive for my liking as i just starting using the Eliminators. Hence, the blue cam fits perfectly for me as of the moment.

    • @aubreykharkongor3718
      @aubreykharkongor3718 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Mari000 it's simply full leg motion for the slower speeds and ankle technique for the more faster stuffs. I've finally switched to the red cam a month ago from the blue one and I've gotten used to how it feels now. The old pedals I was using for years had a round cam so hence getting used to the more aggressive cam took a little more time than I expected.

    I can't play anything other than the white/clear cams although many times I've given the others a run. Generally I find double kick playing difficult, despite weekly rehearsals with my Metal band for fifteen years.. I'm not quitting though, one day I hope to crack the 145bpm barrier!

    • @borzydar1196
      @borzydar1196 5 месяцев назад

      @@contramachina354 don't worry, it takes years to loosen the shaft. Because the cams don't have linear characteristic when the shaft is loose left pedal will be a bit lower naturally. While the cam on right pedal in neutral position will be lets say parallel to the floor on left it will have a bit of slope, making it have different action.
      White or black cams don't have this problem because they are linear.
