This is the highest level discussion I've ever listened to. I had to strain to get some parts of what they are talking about. And I can sense how hearing discussion that is above where I am, opens a door and plants seeds that can germinate. This video is a good example of how Angelo is upping the game on the landscape of 'teaching' awakening. It makes me wondering if there has ever been anything so broadly and deeply effective as what he is doing and how he is articulating the message. I think he represents something new and desperately needed.

What drives me is the expression of Joy. It is not pleasure and it is not pain, it is Joy. It is my Essence. It is that for which I rise and for which I move. It is the name of consciousness in this experience of living. It is the hum of my world. And it is always there, never diminishes never increases. For me, it is something that I enjoy, no matter the sensation, I enjoy the experience of being. Of being alive in this body

This talk fills (me) w awe! Alma looks so young, yet is so realized! I love how she talked about getting to underlying beliefs - similar to how I do therapy, which is increasingly based on principles of realization. You guys are mind blowing. Will listen to this one again and again. Thx to you both!❤ Katharine

I appreciated your comments on instinct as it's something I've been looking at a fair bit recently.
I've come to see how my very strong, healthy instincts were being countermanded by very strong, crippling self-doubt, which kept me looping at a massive stuck point. Extremely painful and deeply frustrating when not understanding the dynamics at play.
In finally engaging more direct, somatic relationship with body sensations while releasing of identification with thought, self-doubt beliefs are less able to hijack and over-ride the instinctual nature.
So wonderful to finally feel I've made a real shift with this old, stuck pattern and to now be experiencing more truly responsive, unimpeded flow of the body's instinctual impulses. Increasing tastes of non-doing and a little free-fall/ vertigo type feeling as the energy can do what it wants much more immediate way, without the doubt snuffing it or trying to head it off at the pass.
And I'd actually be really interested to hear you expand more on the instinctual, animal stuff, which you and Alma touched on. It seems the strong disavowal of ourselves as animals is a key hindrance to our capacity to allow the flow of Life/Nature to run through us, as us.
Continued gratitude for all supportive videos, Angelo 🙏👍🧡

this whole talk has had a profound effect on my state of being. i find myself coming back to it and pausing after almost every sentence, and basking in your pointers towards pure reflection. i can't even believe this exists, as on my path of coming into contact with the wisdom of adyashanti, jean klein, gangaji and ramana maharshi, this may be the purest expression of nothingness that i've found yet. thank you both from the bottom of my heart

Thought seems to be a response to the disturbed emotion. The brain is alerted and goes into problem solving/threat detection mode and then creates further disturbed emotion, anxiety, fear etc. we can just drop into the felt sensation and be with the disturbed emotion with kindness and give it space, and that seems to restore to calmness, without that as an aim

This is wonderful! First time listening I couldn't grok it but second time I understood fully. As Alma says we are compelled through our conditioning to believe our thoughts and react to them. So very helpful. Now I practice not just noticing thoughts but also noticing reactivity. I say to myself, "That's reactivity" as well as saying, "That's a thought" so as to notice what I am doing but not suppress it. Next step is noticing and letting it go...letting it all go and then I will be free of it. The thoughts combined with reactivity create and sustain the suffering and inhibit seeing the truth.
Presenting the DETAILS of this process and examining it is so very helpful as well as examples of how it shows up in the relative. Thank you both for doing this for us❤

    • @asterixdergallier2743

Yes, I love her absolutely authentic way of being. In Tibetan iconography, I would liken her to Pandaravasini, the feminine form of Amitabha Buddha (they say that her garment is white because all vritties have been burnt up in the fire of discernement) . But beyond such playful way of receiving her way of being, her direct impact on me was a deep wish to re-kindle the fire of investigation in me, remove all the accumulated ashes so that the process of surrender&inquiry can again gain momentum.
She is completely trustworthy because there is no doing, no willfulness, no acting, no self referencing to be seen. A blessing to the world and to my sore "soul" (with "soul" I mean some self creating sense of identity, mainly the stored up memories/the reverberations of all the bullshit committed in this lifetime)

    • @asterixdergallier2743

... hope she will stand the tests that will be put on her when and if she gets "discovered"... in this age of spiritual marketing. I believe she will, I deeply trust she will... remain clean, humble... playing boddhisattva while already resting in the lap of Buddha. "This is my wish and my blessing"

About the nervous system, it is a dynamic system beyond what we can imagine. I see this nervous system as an energetic field that is larger than the body and is continually in flow. We can activate movement in this field by, for example, breathing. By initiating breath techniques. We can also activate this energy field by willing movement or by sound vibration. There seems to be a need for ebbing and flowing of energy, so in that sense I can appreciate the word Alma uses, to relax the NS, but it's really just entering a quieter phase. By our choice, we can help ourselves to rebalance, to be able to handle life in manageable bursts of energy.

35:20 What does it feel like when unconsciousness happens?
It feels like a subtle trancestate born from a grasping or pushing away . It is alluring and always have a promise bound into.
It feels like the autopilot of habit.
It feels like a thin veile being pulled over my eyes.
And attention been drawn into a thought stream......and even though it might be an uncomfortable space or pleasurable for that matter ....it feels so close and familiar that the idea of stepping out of it could feel like you might miss out on something very important..... and that if you do not get intangled with it you are doomed.

    • @Rob_TheOne

Just have to practice, focus on your heart. Then allow yourself to be moved...... First have to release any tension. Stretch, straighten your spine to get the energy flowing. Focus on the opioid release when you stretch and get a release. If you have shaking let it flow. Wim Hoff breathing helps release the tension also.

Ask “how would the body move right now if it moved without thinking” then put attention solely into the body sensations. You might be surprised. Keep at it it will evolve. Don’t worry about coordinated or uncoordinated, right or wrong, just do what feels immediately intuitive. Vocalizing along with it is also good :)

So if thought is based in reactivity, is it a kind of seeking some other reality via creating a watered down version? i.e. "i dont like this, let me inch towatds that" (inching towards would be simulating what you're after in your mind, a thought)
