It is rare as the idols are supposed to only be for thefans and dancing with females would upset certain immature fans. I also love that when they perform outside of korea, they use a mix of races for dancers. In korea you will never see a black dancer.
This song is a dark, depressing song in disguise with an uptempo. The story of someone lost and trying to escape his depression by losing himself in the light of the nightlife and alcohol but it doesn't really work then he goes back home (and repeat the same thing again and again see set me free part 2) That's why he is asking himself at the end of the song what's the point? Really loove it. This album is a masterpiece but my fav song is letter vocally and lyrically. Letter is so emotional and poetic. Please check it out.
Gravy or slippery mud 😂😂 Jokes aside I have always been FASCINATED by how effortlessly Jimin covers distances on the dance floor. Also the fast to slow movements are so dynamic! HE IS ELEGANCE ON LEGS!
It is always a privilege and joy to watch Jimin dance. He’s so light on his feet and so fluid in his movement, it’s like he glides across the floor. Makes you think as you watch him that you too can do those moves 😅 every move is so controlled and subtle it’s just insane. How he can direct his feet one way, slightly move his pelvis the other way, and yet move his arms different way too will always be the 8th wonder of the world for me! 😂

[Theory, yes it's long] Someone said there was 4 women and 4 men, balanced, representing his feminine and masculine side. I think the men and women paired together strengthens this point since it represents two halves making one whole. This theory got a bit complex but when the women surround jimin and start tugging on his shoulder, I guess it represents his hardships and struggles with being openly feminine or the hatred he gets for it. Said many were so focused on the women, they nearly completely ignored how much he was also touched by the men as well. Also, when he has a solo dance with the woman, I guess that also represents a mirror. (OR, see how she's backing up, also could represent him "chasing" his femininity) Again, finding the balance with femininity and masculinity. 3:59, He's trying to get away to be himself but is held back. At 2:18, that's his femininity being pulled in, then that's when the world has "problems" with it and start beating him to the ground. Also, the women do a bit of the chorus of SMFP2 implying "set me free from this!!!" When only the male dancers are dancing, it's his masculinity, when it's only women dancing, it's his femininity. And when they come together, well then it's both. In conclusion at the end, the "men" try to hold onto the "women" but they pull away and then walk away, then the men walk away, then it's just Jimin....alone....and funny enough the next track is ALONE 💀There's more to this theory, fill in the blanks with your own imagination, and remember to link the lyrics with the dancing as well, but I saw this choreography completely different once I heard this theory. They were all supposed to represent different versions of himself. This theory also applies to the MV itself. The muddy hand, the muddy walls, the woman who looks a lot like jimin in the club....all him. It's left up to our own interpretation, take this all with a grain of salt, I just really wanted to share 😂
While jimin does put sgns in his videos and pictures that lead to his gender, this whole album was about the pandemic and his emotional and mental state that is what jimin said himself. i do think that the other thngs can also be valid as well he basically is telling two stories at once and that is brilliant.

This dance practice show us how "liquid and fluid" are his movements, the choreo is just beautiful and really enhances the lyrics. I personally prefer his regular backup dancers, you can see how good they move with Jimin, very aware of the emotions they are projecting with the song. Nothing against the dancers at Jimmy Fallon's show, they were great too but it's a good way to compare the delicacy of movements and details.
You know, I thought the exact same thing about the dancers... but then on rewatching the Jimmy Fallon stage I realized that there's several things affecting the quality of the dancing, and it's not the performers. First, whoever put Jimin in a blazer for this choreo did him dirty, because it obscures a lot of those subtle body and shoulder movements. Second, since he was singing live, he had to hold back a bit to stay stable. And then of course, the dynamic camera angles, while designed to enhance the drama, just sort of... distracted, IMO. Having watched the dancers more closely, I think the American ones are every bit as good as the Koreans... they're sharp, they've got the necessary attitude, and the diversity is just eye pleasing. 🔥🔥 But the dance practice is obviously cleaner... without all those distractions I mentioned, they're just flawless.
That was amazing! Jimin is so fluid and so sexy, he makes it look so effortless! This really is my fave from this album so far! I can't wait to see and hear more.
#toomuchsauce, Jimin as bad as Tom Jones with those snake hips. Coming from Ballet and Contemporary dance life they teach you how to fill the stage a d make use of every inch, and it's no joke how Jimin gets from A-D so gracefully. I just love this chore and the other dancers support him so well with their precision.

Having watched the dancers more closely, I think the American ones are every bit as good as the Koreans... they're sharp, they've got the necessary attitude, and the diversity is just eye pleasing. 🔥🔥 But the dance practice is obviously cleaner... without all those distractions I mentioned, they're just flawless.
That was amazing! Jimin is so fluid and so sexy, he makes it look so effortless! This really is my fave from this album so far! I can't wait to see and hear more.
#toomuchsauce, Jimin as bad as Tom Jones with those snake hips. Coming from Ballet and Contemporary dance life they teach you how to fill the stage a d make use of every inch, and it's no joke how Jimin gets from A-D so gracefully. I just love this chore and the other dancers support him so well with their precision.
