I’m enjoying the podcast. I may have to start watching the next day instead of live though. I’m eastern time zone and it’s pushing past my bedtime. lol
When I first started following your videos. Most of the time it was the 56 car and Joseph was working with Dirt daddy driving trucks. And Jesse was work at (I think) the water department. Dirty daddy was also helping some kids. That writing on your spoiler is what got me following you guys. You were working out of your attached garage then. So I would like to say. Being a Christian and a longtime racer. My first interdiction to racing was 1960 when my dad had a service station Sacramento Ca and he sponsored a 356 Porsche road race car. My love affair for automobile racing started there and got involved in Road racing and dirt racing. I became a metal fabricator to build racecars. I wanted to drive but having a family I put them first and when I married my one and only wife (of 55 years). Had a baby that I adopted so I was never able to build a car for me. Just to let you know I would do it the same way again. So keep up the great videos. I really enjoy them and seeing you guys in the shop as well as on the track. It reminds me of those fun days in the shop as the crew chief and the comradery that racer have for each other. May GOD keep blessing you guys.

I like when they actually race late models.
Back in the early 90’s I was waiting for aluminum sheet metal to come in but I had a roll of black plastic that we made noses with (those ol push bar wedge car noses) so I laid that roll in the sun to flatten out and made doors and qtr panels. The track outlawed me lol. Hey rules are rules, it’s ok for the nose but not the sides. It held up great. Got into a little excursion with another car, their body was tore up, mine bounced back out. That’s when the track caught on.😅

Maybe look into a mini late model. I was sitting here watching Golden Isles and saw them on the track things look pretty wicked. I remembered joseph was saying maybe something about trying to drive something different I know he said rally cross but would be cool if you guys got 1 to play around with. I’m sure they are pricey however not a full blown late model price.

Looking forward to meeting you guys at Ultimate Motorsports Park in Elkin NC I live about 8 miles from the track. I know they have a XR series race coming up in February would be a great opportunity for Joseph to get some laps on the track they have done a lot of work on the track over the winter. 🏁

It would be interesting to have old faithful and Betty stress tested. I know it's easy for me to say, but it would be neat to see how different the chassis is. No 2 cars are the same. Bloomie said he would put extra bars on the cars, Martin said he would but extra polishing on his. Keep on, keeping on HTF

why dont you guys have car lifts? ive had one for twenty five year, all that bending over and crawling under cars is going to make you an old man , hard on the knees and the back, i just got a second for 2700. 00 easy to install and will double you storage during bad weather, one car under another , we been racing for 40 years and im 64, my brother the driver is 59 and we would never go back to crawling under cars again,
Even with lift you still become an old man. I can say that because I am an old man. LOL

Let me ask the question: are you guys expecting better results this year than last year? Joseph, do you think having a crew chief help you make game-time decisions would improve your overall results and increase your bank account? I can't imagine the stress you have on your shoulders, driving the car, working on the car, and then making race time decisions.

Agreed! And get rid of the crate cars, the Camaro, and those stupid Corvettes and Fords. A poor race team has a bunch of cars and no money. And while you're at GET A CAR LIFT!!!!!! Start working smart and not hard.
