"Oh Meeks dead, I stepped on him back on the bridge, but I've felt so guilty so I've been caring his body around all day" *random noise from Meek* "oh look Meeks alive, hi Meek".
In the universe where they decide not to keep paying RDJr and just use a silent always in his Iron Man suit Tony Stark: Ultron: I will finish what I was created to do by destroying humanity. Thor: Oh no, I don't think Tony will like this. Iron Man: *thumbs down* Thor: Tony disagrees.
I’m sure no one’s gonna see this comment but it’s crazy how you guys talked about Robert Downey Jr owning the rights to his likeliness and scans, and almost 6 years later actors are on strike for studios using scans to put them in movies without their knowledge and avoid paying them
Yeah, Karl Urban plays Eomer in LotR, and Eowyn (who crushes on Aragorn) is his sister. They do not get married... LotR is no GoT. You're thinking of Faramir.
Thor didn't find a single stone since Age of Ultron. However In the course of Ragnarok he passes by 2, maybe 3 if Heimdall has one which is a debate for another time. Obviously he knows where the Tesseract is, but Dr Strange is wearing the Time Stone. And I think that's funny.
Apparently the Soul Stone may be Black Panther considering he talks to his dad who is now a soul but I'm not sure. However that wouldn't complete the Thanos letter theory.
Karl Urban played Eowyn's brother, not his eventual husband. Faramir (David Wenham,) ended up marrying Eowyn,as they were healed in the same room (if i correctly remember.)
Heimdall must have the soul stone surely? He's SO powerful if he doesn't, to be able to see EVERY SOUL in the universe and communicate with someone at the edge of the universe..
You guys were talking about Hela being the "Death" that Thanos might want to impress and it brought me back to the after-credits scene from the first Avengers where his henchman says "to fight them(the Avengers) is to court Death" and Thanos smiles at the the camera. I'm convinced that's the route the studio will be taking whether "Death" is Hela or not, but I bet it is
Surtur was voiced by Clancy Brown, who voiced Lex Luthor DC animated stuff and Mr Crabs in Spoungebob, but also was Sgt Zim in Starship Troopers and the Kurgan in Highlander.
I find it odd that no one pointed out, Hella spent the whole movie looking for the sword to make the bifrost work so she can go to other realms, even though she had access to the Tesseract, which could take her literally anywhere in the universe
Marvel. Thalia what’s your source on Thano’s age? I don’t recall it being stated that he’s an ancient being like Odin. I figure he could probably live a while, but I always assumed his upbringing on Titian wasn’t like, many thousands of years ago
I agree that Ragnarok did lack some emotion and heart. I really enjoyed the humor. I had a blast watching it. I even want to see it a couple more times. However, the first Thor movies have more emotional moments, and I like that the Marvel movies still have been able to include those moments the tug at the heartstrings in the midst of the humor. Ragnarok failed on that account, and there were certainly some spots where it could have been there. I still put this on my favorite Marvel movies list, though. Every Thor film has left me saying, "I liked it but I would have changed..." so this one does the same for me. Still highly recommended!
It took me until 5:45 to realize that was James/MrSunday. I thought he had gone to the US and there was someone else co-hosting, he sounded so different.
Here is a thought: Odin knew he was dying, was he intent on staying in Norway because he wanted Hela to emerge on Earth rather than on Asgard? As in: he couldn't care less if Hela laid total waste to Planet Earth, so long as she ended up trapped there. Which she would have been if (a) stupid Loki hadn't cried out to Heimdall to rescue them and (b) stupid Volstagg hadn't triggered the Bifrost. It rather makes sense from Odin's PoV, because Hela can't gain power from Earth in the way in which she gets stronger and stronger the longer she is on Asgard, and also there is no tech on Earth that would allow her to get off the planet. But, you know, heck, kinda' tough on the earthlings.....
The movie was def the best Thor movie and probably the funniest MCU movie. It's a real fun watch it's not the best movie ever but it's still really fun
Completely agree with James, the comedy in this movie, while great, did a disservice to the emotional moments that the film tried to have. SPOILER Cause I mean, all of Thor's family and friends beside Heimdall and Loki are dead, the history of his entire people was a lie, and his home was destroyed. That's heavy stuff, but the tone doesn't match any of those events at all, so I left really not caring about anything or anyone in the movie.
I find Thor 1 funnier than Ragnarok. People say Thor is boring, but he's actually very funny in Thor 1 when he's exiled to earth, he only became mature and boring in thor 2. The emotional scenes in Thor 1 are also among the best in MCU movies, Loki finding out his real linage and his final fight with Thor are both great. I've noticed quite a few movie reviewers who generally dislike superheroes movies like Ragnarok, but their attitudes are a tad cynical and condescending, they're like "finally a superhero movie that understands superheroes movies are stupid and silly, and don't try to be more than they could be".
Ive not seen it but I just want to know one thing... Does Thor get Jarnbjorn? I understand that the power was in him all along yadda yadda. But I'd like it if he has a weapon to channel that power into. I'm not into the idea of him just using his fists, and those twin swords are really not Thor's style.
Honestly the worst part of this movie is that they couldn't use the Amora the Enchantress because of Suicide Squad. She's a lot more important than Hela is in the comics and a lot of Cate Blanchett's character is Amora anyway (As far as Scourge being her lackey).
The fuck thats so weird at least if it was the same I would just think oh they messed up and put the wrong episode up again but I dont understand why its happening like that.
It's not true to the novel...which is fine with me. I've always felt that PKD has interesting philosophical ideas but isn't really a good storyteller/novelist (probably not a popular opinion, sorry). However, the Amazon series is very intriguing. I like it.
What if when you are bested in battle you get demoted and the good best is a sign of the best swindler and if you're demoted enough you just have to wear your big coat for eternity
Loved Ragnarok. It's not the best MCU movie but for me it was the most fun. It may be my favorite in terms of overall enjoyment.
You know what? It wasn't my favorite MCU movie by a long shot, but I can definitely agree it's one of the most fun!
"Oh Meeks dead, I stepped on him back on the bridge, but I've felt so guilty so I've been caring his body around all day" *random noise from Meek* "oh look Meeks alive, hi Meek".
*Miek
I love how Hela murders the warriors three and Thor doesn’t give a fuck
Nuggetfire 59 well he was putting together a team and didn’t think to get the help of his old team
In the universe where they decide not to keep paying RDJr and just use a silent always in his Iron Man suit Tony Stark:
Ultron: I will finish what I was created to do by destroying humanity.
Thor: Oh no, I don't think Tony will like this.
Iron Man: *thumbs down*
Thor: Tony disagrees.
I just wanted to congratulate James' just woken up voice cause it's awesome.
Lol! I thought it was a guest for a moment when the pod started!
Is James sick or just tired? It was 7am when they recorded this.
James is notoriously grumpy in the morning, so this is the most positive result we could have gotten
MovieNerd_EP He was exceptionally grumpy this time around so that's why I immediately noticed it.😊😊
LatinaFangirl lol to his credit he does cheer up!
Johnny Appleseed Yeah; I really hope he had a big breakfast after this.😁😁
And his voice sounds a bit off, deeper or more bunged up almost, I almost thought it might be like his brother or something
They should let Taika Waititi do the LOTR Amazon series and sneak Korg in there somehow.
I’m sure no one’s gonna see this comment but it’s crazy how you guys talked about Robert Downey Jr owning the rights to his likeliness and scans, and almost 6 years later actors are on strike for studios using scans to put them in movies without their knowledge and avoid paying them
James should do the podcast when he's really tired ALL the time! he's on POINT with the humor on this one! lol
Yeah, Karl Urban plays Eomer in LotR, and Eowyn (who crushes on Aragorn) is his sister. They do not get married... LotR is no GoT. You're thinking of Faramir.

Ben Rhodes Well... he aint the sharpest tool in the shed.
Yeah, he was also lookin' kinda dumb with his finger and his...
I can't finish it. Not even for the meme. The song is so bad!
Apparently the Soul Stone may be Black Panther considering he talks to his dad who is now a soul but I'm not sure. However that wouldn't complete the Thanos letter theory.
Black Panther can always talk to the dead kings before him.
Leon Ormston I think the last stone will be introduced in Infinity War. I just dont see it be a part of Black Panther.
i love your point. and Masons sweet and honest "she was hit by a 200ft sword, but thats no reason she is dead"
Karl Urban played Eowyn's brother, not his eventual husband. Faramir (David Wenham,) ended up marrying Eowyn,as they were healed in the same room (if i correctly remember.)
Karl Urban was Eomere, Eowen (who had a crush on Aragon) is his sister. She marries Faramir, who was Sean Bean's brother.
RED HOT COMIC MOVIE NEWS shooting up.....
Me: *trying desperately to mute it infront of everyone*
If they ask you about it, DON'T DOG THE BOYS.
cat ARE YOU DOGGING THE BOYS MATE?
How dare you dog the boys ?!
Heimdall must have the soul stone surely? He's SO powerful if he doesn't, to be able to see EVERY SOUL in the universe and communicate with someone at the edge of the universe..
Jarvis James some say the soul stone is The Eternal Flame in Odin's chambers.
Lol it's amazing Jesse Eisenberg wasn't vaping as Lex Luthor
Thank u for making my Monday morning with a briefcase less miserable lol
You guys were talking about Hela being the "Death" that Thanos might want to impress and it brought me back to the after-credits scene from the first Avengers where his henchman says "to fight them(the Avengers) is to court Death" and Thanos smiles at the the camera. I'm convinced that's the route the studio will be taking whether "Death" is Hela or not, but I bet it is
Whackadoo reporting in
Preacher is fantastic. You guys should give it a watch.
TexasChainclaw praise Jesus, Preacher is the bomb, but I gotta say Cassidy is my kinda guy
Surtur was voiced by Clancy Brown, who voiced Lex Luthor DC animated stuff and Mr Crabs in Spoungebob, but also was Sgt Zim in Starship Troopers and the Kurgan in Highlander.
I find it odd that no one pointed out, Hella spent the whole movie looking for the sword to make the bifrost work so she can go to other realms, even though she had access to the Tesseract, which could take her literally anywhere in the universe
damn
yeah but that make her target for thanos. So...
The WerewolfF Hella’s been locked away for some 2500 years, probably longer, I doubt she knows anything about Thanos
Thanos is super old. Of course she knows about Thanos.
Marvel. Thalia what’s your source on Thano’s age? I don’t recall it being stated that he’s an ancient being like Odin. I figure he could probably live a while, but I always assumed his upbringing on Titian wasn’t like, many thousands of years ago
The first Batman theme is the best Batman theme. It has always at least in my brain been the Batman theme LOL
Not gonna lie through the ad I was thinking 'wow this guest really sounds like James'
Totally agree running with the "as a dad" bit - the Hulk was totally a preschooler! Scary! Yet hilarious!
I agree that Ragnarok did lack some emotion and heart. I really enjoyed the humor. I had a blast watching it. I even want to see it a couple more times. Ariel_Grey29 For me the saddest part was thor losing his hammer. Have you seen "what Thor was doing during civil war" XD?
D Preston Oh yes, I have. Those are canon, right? ;-)
Truth, odins emotional speeches were wonderful in the first film. This one he is just like "oh hey I'm dying, later man"
Exactly. I wasn't good. Funny jokes, but Thr isn't a comedy.
Odin's death just copying Oogway from KUNG FU PANDA :-(
Whooooo I'm on time!!!!
I like to imagine all the other major cities around the world also have signs that say "Melbourne's all in".
Loki stole the Tesseract from the vault. Also mason said "she IN A WAY was killed by a 200 ft. Sword" that way was literally!
Ragnarok is in my top 5 mcu films
I love that the trailers were different to the actual film so that things weren't spoiled cough cough Spiderman Homecoming trailer 2
I liked this video specially because of the reference to dashboard confessional 😂
Oh boy im so excited for Inhumans!!
love the show from Finland
It took me until 5:45 to realize that was James/MrSunday. I thought he had gone to the US and there was someone else co-hosting, he sounded so different.
Sakaraan/foot soldier from Guardians of the Galaxy 1 in the crowd of aliens in the Grandmaster Credits scene
This new Thor flick took me for a fantastic and fun ride cover-to-cover! This is how you make a Power Rangers movie!
Hey guys. just wanted to let you know that i tried listening to this episode on Google Play but instead i got another episode from earlier this year.
Why is this weeks episode not on Spotify??
Here is a thought: Odin knew he was dying, was he intent on staying in Norway because he wanted Hela to emerge on Earth rather than on Asgard?
As in: he couldn't care less if Hela laid total waste to Planet Earth, so long as she ended up trapped there.
Which she would have been if

(b) stupid Volstagg hadn't triggered the Bifrost.

1:23:11 Thor theme
When i listened on Itunes it was the inhumans trailer episode. Was that just a glitch?
I think it was a reupload accidentally, I got the inhumans episode when i downloaded this episode
Thanks
me too.
The podcast won't show up on the libsyn page??
Because some of us want to download it over wifi to listen to later, that's the problem.
Mike Dunne RUclips on a phone sucks, that's the problem
On Google play it's the wrong episode, it'd one from way back in June. Me thinks james messed up
Been checking for dayss mate. Still not up monday night. Gonna have to call out of work if i cant listen to me monday podcast.
And learn how to use a question mark
The reason I wake up on a monday :)
The movie was def the best Thor movie and probably the funniest MCU movie. It's a real fun watch it's not the best movie ever but it's still really fun
Completely agree with James, the comedy in this movie, while great, did a disservice to the emotional moments that the film tried to have.

Finally got the Kevin Spacey story
The Silmarillion would be a great middle earth T.V. series for WB
That was the strangest start to any show I've ever heard, mindless banter LOL when did you guys record this 6 in the morning LOL.
I want a "LOOT-BRUTE" now, and you guys made me want it. But no one is selling one. Anyone know where I can find one?
Dan Tuga meet me in the alley by the side of the library in an hour fam and I'll hook you up.
Paul Grant Woot woot, gonna get me a Loot Brute!
Wtf..why is this not available for dl on the weekly planet website!
"In a way... she was killed with a 200 foot sword." Didn't know this was a matter of perspective
I still think the Solo movie should have been called "Scoundrel: A Han Solo Story"
Why is this episode wrong on Google Play Music?
He has been The Hulk for 2 "Earth" years, but time is different in Sakaar
Yes a shout out to ‘VINDICATED’ !
Maso with the Enterprise them for the win.
I saw the same justice league poster in Malaysia too
Why is this week's episode on Google play the one about the cornetto trilogy?
Best MCU movie for me after Gaurdians and the funniest. Most serious MCU moments dont work for me anyway so I wasnt expecting much on that front.
I always sing that song too!!
I find Thor 1 funnier than Ragnarok. People say Thor is boring, but he's actually very funny in Thor 1 when he's exiled to earth, he only became mature and boring in thor 2. Good morning, ya top mates
AS A PARENT I can hear a young child screaming in the BG - parent nigh-Daredevil hearing at work. It's all good though. Love the podcast!
No direct download?
James outed himself as a former emo kid with that Dashboard Confessional reference.
Oh okay I just got to the part where you said it was 7 a.m. I was not that far off
Ive not seen it but I just want to know one thing... Does Thor get Jarnbjorn?
I understand that the power was in him all along yadda yadda. But I'd like it if he has a weapon to channel that power into. I'm not into the idea of him just using his fists, and those twin swords are really not Thor's style.
Based off one of the infinity war posters it looks like he does
They might just explode the Millenium Falcon just for the kicks and giggles. It would also kill Chewbacca
1:35:10 I don't want to hear things anymore tonight.
Love your show, but (pulls collar) Yeeeeesh!
Batman Animated series 20 years on in Batman Beyond, which is way better than the DCEU
Why isnt this on the website yet? Been checking since yesterday mate. Mister bloody tuesday movies amirite? Amirite?
At the start I thought you were the intro with a guest!
I thought today was Sunday until I saw this. My sense of time sucks.
James mate you sick? I'm sick its no fun i had to get up at 7:20 today as well it was no good
Anyone know where the Battlefront video?
Eómer = Faramir In The Lord Of The Rings Apparently
i know this was sponsored by casper but where can i get one of those robot designed armadillo mattresses
Why isn't this up on Spotify yet? What's going on?
Wait... what year is it??
You guys should play Justice League Heroes!
No one mentions how the time works different on Sakaar so technically Hulk has been Hulk for way more than 2 years?
Roddy Rod it's probably just a plot hole
I legitimately thought that Korg was voiced by one of you guys and it made me laugh....is that racist?
Nuggetfire 59 looks like I AM a racist after all. Just as I always suspected
Honestly the worst part of this movie is that they couldn't use the Amora the Enchantress because of Suicide Squad. She's a lot more important than Hela is in the comics and a lot of Cate Blanchett's character is Amora anyway (As far as Scourge being her lackey).
James sounding sexy sick. I’m also sexy sick... James and I the same person?
Is anyone else having an issue with on the google play for this episode its playing what I believe to be the Wonderwoman episode?
I'm getting same issue but with the cornetto trilogy episode.
The fuck thats so weird at least if it was the same I would just think oh they messed up and put the wrong episode up again but I dont understand why its happening like that.
That Spiderman game is looking fucking ridiculous, getting it day 1
Hulk also wasnt very angry at any point in the movie so he wouldn't be that strong.
I love how the third movies in the MCU are always the best of their series. Civil War, Ragnarok, Iron M... okay maybe not always...
Here's hoping Guardians 3 can pull it off!
Winter soldier was better then civil war.
TheDeadlysyns I disagree. Civil War does everything that Winter Soldier does but slightly better.
Well that is your right I still think your wrong.
TheDeadlysyns
Top 3 Avengers: Iron Man, Cap and Thor
Best movie for each one
Iron man: first movie
Cap: 2nd movie
Thor: 3rd movie
Eomer (Urban) did NOT marry Eowyn (Otto). They are brother and sister. Eowyn married Faramir. ;)
James, you sound so tired. Or sick. Take care man!
Amazon does "the man in the high castle" wow....neither of you have watched that?.....you should honestly watch it if you havent, damn good show.
Justin Jacobs I haven't seen any of "Man in the high castle" yet, but I really enjoyed the Philip K Dick novel. What's your opinion of the series?
It's not true to the novel...which is fine with me. I've always felt that PKD has interesting philosophical ideas but isn't really a good storyteller/novelist (probably not a popular opinion, sorry). However, the Amazon series is very intriguing. I like it.
Why can’t I see the latest podcast on Libsyn?
I got an ad in the middle of the lettuce song
When will Mason's solo album come out? He needs to sing all the songs he can remember.
And also the ones he can't remember.
What if when you are bested in battle you get demoted and the good best is a sign of the best swindler and if you're demoted enough you just have to wear your big coat for eternity
Only thing I was disappointed about in Thor was that we didn’t see thanos which was one of the things I was looking forward to most
I loved that scene in Norway....or should i say...THORway ha. Lol. Im good. Loot crate me if you want
James’ voice sounds off. You sick bro?
Andrew Wright they said its very early in the morning when they record this
