- I got to chat with the cast of X-Men Apocalypse! Ben Hardy (Angel), Alexandra Shipp (Storm) and Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) talk about life on set, becoming the X-Men, and working with Bryan Singer.

I know Hardy is just his stage name, but the entire first part of this I kept thinking Ben looked like a baby Tom Hardy mixed with Gerard Butler. Then he joked that Tom was his older brother!
Couldn't tell whether Jack was looking at Hazel with awe or the X-Men actors 😂 either way you can tell he has a huge amount of respect for both!
Tye is such a gem. I love him so much. He deserves the world!
This is super exciting! You can see they all loved answering intelligent questions. Also, I didn't realise that Ben had left Eastenders to do X-Men, so when I saw him I just shouted PETER! It's lovely to see smaller but very talented actors go on to do huge blockbusters.

Ooo, great interview! Well done as per ushe, Hazel! I am so excited to see this film. The Avengers movies never interested me enough to watch them, but the X-Men franchise, I just love. So fun to see young actors playing the teen versions of these characters. I feel like I've seen Tye Sheridan in a TV show or movie before, but I don't recognise any of his films from his imdb page...

Honestly the new actors in this film made it so like...fresh ?? like the characters in x-men are so damn great and these new kids managed to capture exactly how i'd imagine the x-men as kids would have been. sophie turner as jean grey especially, that must've been such a difficult shoe to fit into but she did it so damn well and it genuinely felt like it was a younger jean grey rather than a different character
You always ask such great questions, a bit different from the usual interviews I see! Wonderful video

The only reason I didn't like this movie was because its not the xmen characters that I know from the comics and singer had an opportunity with the whole time line change thing to fix the characterisations but didn't. like wtf storm does not become this amazing powerful woman thanks to some purple dude like people in the comics think that she is a LITERAL GODDESS. but whatever I'm bitter af this was a great interview and hazel always asks really good questions that don't seem repetitive like other interviews do. great moves keep it up proud of u
I still really loved the movie - but I thought storms character in the comics was so amazing and epic she could've had her own movie (or 3) but this movie skimmed over a different backstory 😰 thought Alex was great though!
+Sally Rollinson yeah I really like the new actress too, as for story lines i wish they would just do the phoenix and the dark phoenix saga as its done in the comics. People really hated the 3rd xmen film and people complain about the fact that they made the phoenix force just some repressed thing inside Jean when it's actually something really fucking cool and then singer just went and did that same thing in last stand all over again??? Why bro
I really don't like what they are doing with Jean. It's so repetitive. She just does nothing for most of the movie and then everyone's almost dead and then she decides to manifest all her amazing powers and save the day and then nothing again. Like wtf?!

What what your thoughts on the film Hazel?
I just wish someone with balls who doesn't care about a career in media would ask the x men cast questions like have you ever seen anything shady happen on set around Bryan. It's a dick move and it would ruin any actors career if they were honest but it would be interesting to see their reaction to the question.
