Personality is a big monster hunter fan and Minecraft player I am going to be anxious for the next amount of time until I hear it releases
Just saying, Capcom will shut this down. Seeing as early access is paid, and the creators are making money off of a Capcom owned IP.

@@carlobentsen468 So far other Monster Hunter mods have lasted for a while, so while it is a possibility that it may be copyrighted, it may stick around long enough to be accepted and permanent.
Besides, at least it's not Nintendo this time.

After they finished adding a bunch of monsters to the game they should add a unique saddle for each monster and then they add monster food and u can tame them if u feed it enough

I'd love if they could add the really big ones like Lao Shan Lung and Dalamadur.
I can imagine something like Yamatsukami would be relatively easy since it would be floating in the sky and occasionally suck up some of the ground below as it feeds.
anything up to Lao Shan lung is planned, the issue with Dalamdur and zorah is both how we handle textures, as, we make the monsters 1:1 to the game resolution and minecraft own rendering system
Oh man I was working on a Monster Hunter mod for ages a few years ago, ended up taking a long break since the coding was driving me crazy (I swear people just don’t even want new people to learn how to mod lol, not a single community was of any help).
I had a bunch of concept art and ideas written down, and had completed a super complex Rathian model (since it was technically the very first monster in the series, I figured it’d be a good start), and was working on the animations. The wings were a pain. Problem is it was so complex that my old computer couldn’t handle it, lagged like crazy when I tried to work on it. Was planning on continuing, but seeing this, I am now probably not going to considering I definitely can’t compete with someone who already knows how to code lol (there were no actual Monster Hunter mods when I was working on it)

Ark had a monster hunter mod. But Capcom had it taken down. There is a good chance it will get taken down here too. So hey maybe you have been spared that pain?

I’d say Minecraft mods should be fine though, the Ark one most likely got taken down because it directly used content from Monster Hunter games (models, animations, music, etc). I believe they were taken directly from Monster Hunter Tri or 3 Ultimate if I’m remembering correctly. Since for Minecraft everything needs to be made from scratch to fit its style, it should be safer.
Though I do remember the original Pixelmon mod being taken down by Nintendo/the Pokémon Company, despite everything having been made from scratch. But that was an absolutely huge mod that just about everyone knew about at the time, and Nintendo is notorious for taking anything like that down. But then again, they’ve left Cobblemon alone so far, so it’s hard to say. My guess is that the non blocky Pixelmon models were too close to the official designs, whereas Cobblemon’s blocky, Minecraft themed ones differ enough to get a pass.
Anyway, point is, I’m not too worried about it (but who knows)

@@Steeles1 it's unfortunate that they will be removing vanilla mobs and all, it does kind of negate some compatibility with mods that need vanilla mobs and all.
@@entity-504thecursedgodcig_6 I'm not so sure about that since it is a mod it should have some configs and you can always get a mod to keep stuff spawning plus I had had strange world settings on in the world XD

Holy jesus, so the gendrome looks nothing like they do in the games, but honestly this design is way cooler in my opinion
