for people saying that the car is measuring the wrong time, understand that the timer only starts from one foot rollout, to know the correct time in 0-60 just add the car's time with another 0.2 seconds and you will have the exact 0-60 time.
@@Drive615 Yes, it's not confirmed by GM, but tests show that this is exactly how the Corvette's timer works. the draggy always shows 0.2 seconds more than the Corvette timer on any version of the C8. but anyway, 0-60 in 2.3 - 2.4 is still extremely fast

All car and driver times also post this same rollout, along with most american magazines and drag strips, so it's a fair comparison. 2.3 real seconds on all seasons though is still absolutely insane, similar territory as a 918 spider or 992 911 Turbo S, which are the absolute benchmark cars for ICE acceleration
Meh, 0-60 is not a true test on how fast a car really is, 60-130 is a better measurement on fast a car is, 0-60 just shows how quick a car is, there's a difference between being a quick car than a fast car, we found out the base c8 really isn't that fast in a roll.
This doesn't help make my wait for mine any easier lol. I did 2.8 in my current C8 and thought that's damn fast, seen the Eray is listed at 2.5 and I'm like ok just a little faster, but 0.7 faster is much faster! Thanks for the insightful video, now to wait my turn........😢

Good video, more impressive C8 variant than even expected. I know you're quite tall, is that why you hold steering wheel at 10 & 2 position while on track? When I was at NCM track, they were quite adamant I held the wheel at the 9 & 3 spots. Spring Mountain also.
Beautiful car and great sound! Your videos are always good, but maybe when you go back to edit and you insert corrections on the screen, it might be better if you leave them up longer as I had to keep rewinding the video to see what it said. Looks like a fun day on the track! ✌️

I hope there is an option to have it auto charge the battery on decel using engine power, instead of always having to hit the button. Thats kind of stupid. Lets add something to either distract, or detract from the attention of driving.
Are you joking? When GM claimed 10.9 for the c7 z06. People managed to run 10.4’s quarter mile. When GM claimed 10.7 for quarter mile for the c7 ZR1. People did 9.9-10.1. Even the c8 z06 was claimed 10.6 from GM. And Will Farmer did 10.2
This isn't correct. It is 100% not possible. As others have said use a real timing device like a track or dragy.... On board computers are notoriously inaccurate for 0-60mph times
Why do people keep posting 0-60 times based on the onboard timer when they know it is not accurate. If anyone could just get in the car and do 0-60 in 2.1 seconds, GM and every magazine would bed showing it. How many times have we seen a RUclipsr EVER show a 0-60 in the claimed 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds with an accurate timer? Never!
GM has it built into the car. If it was so inaccurate would they not just recalibrate it. 2.1 or 2.4 this is still the fastest stock corvette avail today w 2 even more powerful versions on the way ZR1 & Zora.

That little timer in the car is not accurate. You can't rely on that, you need a Dragy or Racebox.

I don't believe that's accurate either. Use a Dragy. The 2 top car sites got 2.5, and I think that's with 1 foot roll out
...2.1 makes sense, as standard C8s have registered as low as 2.6 with the same instrument.
