She actually missed a big part of the mechanics of naldthal where he flips late into the cast. If you're just watching his big tassels it's easy to tell if he's flipping.

Hell of Fire can also change direction in the middle of it's cast. If the boss' torso starts to spin to change which 'face' is showing, you can be sure the attack will go off in the opposite direction from where it was before. The lasers will also start to move as the torso spins.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you including the parts where everyone goes flying off the edge! Normally, when I first do these, I feel like a complete fool, the worst player ever, and wallow in shame for my various unholy demises. This reminds me that it's normal! I also really like watching these after I've done it a few times, because it's easier to see, oh that's what I missed. (like the wall color - I didn't see the wall color at *all.*
by "wall color" do you mean the lanterns and space around the last boss arena? Cuz if so I completely missed that one too, I was too concentrated on the color of the boss and the lanterns floating around him cuz I figured that was the tell :D

It's funny how many people miss that during "Far above, deep below" only one of the 2 mechanics activates but most of the time people stack or run away even if the don't need to.
mizzteq missed that during this guide as well if Nald'Thal is casting As Above So Below, the next attack will only be either Blue or Orange I think more and more a catching up to it though but it's still funny to see a Blue Marked player knowingly stacking up for Line and everyone just run away in panic lol
Oh wow, I should have looked for a comment like this sooner! I just saw on Mr. Happy's guide he clarifies how this mechanic works. I was so confused when this phase comes up, and sometimes the blue circles don't go off. I thought maybe the mechanic gets cancelled out if you get the boss' HP down to a certain threshold or something weird like that. Should have clued in from the usual gold-and-blue aesthetic that it would be tied to the background colour like other attacks. I'm surprised, I think this might be the first time Mizzteq ever steered me wrong! Well, not necessarily "wrong," but just missing some key context about the mechanic I suppose. You could still act as if all the AoEs are real and it would be fine, just not needed.

I am so happy you made a guide. Your guides have always been the easiest for me to follow when doing a new raid. It didn't finally click that Azeyma's fans are what I have to look out for during "Solar Fans" until watching your video. You make things so simple and easy to follow. Remember to lower the battle visual graphics, Character Config > Control Settings > Character > Battle Effect Settings Can't see a bloody damn thing on my first blind run. My eye tears up from looking at all the explosive magic flashes...
One fool-proof strat I use for the hammer phase is always stand in the middle on the first hammer and the blue aoe always gets moved so if you can identify a safe platform where the blue air starts then it will always be safe when the mechanic resolves
So much mechanics, i don't even remember what the first set of mechanics were. But at least having watched the video i at least know something about the mechanics before the raid. Even if i don't exactly remember them all the mechanics, seeing them in raid will help to understand somewhat vs just being clueless. I find i have to rewatch these videos a bit of stop and rewind to half decent understand the mechanics at play. But thanks to all you healers who mop me up from off the floor. You all do a great job!!!

I love your videos Mizz, they are truly helpful, thank you! This is a quibble, but when people make these videos and say "They have a number on them", this is inaccurate. When I first watched this video and heard that the lions have numbers over them, I was looking for a numeral, didn't see them, and got confused. What they have is an amount of markers that, when counted, equal the number which indicates the order. The same for NaldThal's pillars. In short: Don't look for a number, count the markers, those equal the number to indicate the order of activity.
4:02 - Am I the only one who has trouble seeing which portal he's tethered to? That's the problem with this game's mechanics. Even if I know them, I can't even see them half the time.
You _know_ it's gonna be a hard bloody slog when Myzzteq takes 13 minutes to explain the mechanics. FML, I'm gonna die SO HARD in this. Or save the party's bacon if I don't faceplant, because RDM.
Something you didn't mention about the balancing of the scales: From my experience (and the footage you play provides further verification of this), every alliance simply needs to go to the other side of the add that you were tethered to and it will balance perfectly. I believe there is also some leeway if you have a few players on the wrong side. In your case, every add spawned on the dark side, so everyone would have to go to light side, as you did. The tricky bit is when there are deaths before the tethers appear so it may not be a perfect balance in that case and you need to do it in real time. Otherwise there would be no point to the tethers since nothing special seems to happen due to them.
**shrug** Idk for sure, but no matter what class the person they copy, they pull out a sword, so I assume they just generally get tanked in position, but they seem like they would move as melee.

10:12 I am so confused about this "Far Above, Deep Below" mechanic! 90% of the time, players with blue circles just seem to come and stack with the rest of the group anyway, with zero consequences. The AoEs don't even happen. But if they run away and take the blue circles elsewhere, then the AoEs trigger and probably end up killing some people. What is going on!? Is the group doing so much damage that it bypasses a phase and skips the mechanic? Is it a bug?
Sometimes the Solar Fans rotate 5 times, and sometimes only 4. I had hoped to see if there was any significance to it being different, but I guess it will always be a mystery to me.
okay so was right yesterday! Someone typed my name after the balance part of the last boss, but I didn't die and we only lost like a quarter of our health. Was confused why I got called out
Really hope you can put out a new one with the missing components of the Nald/Thal fight. Namely that all the Orange/Blue phases except the first few, as well as the later Hell of Fire's, can all be flipped part way through, so you have to float near the middle for all of them and anticipate a possible switch. Also that the weights of the 3 adds in the scales phase is not always 3, but instead is dependent on what race the adds are. 3 is the max, but if they are cloned as Lala's or Miqote etc. then they will weigh less, and more players will have to adjust. Everything else seemed on point, but the mechanics mentioned above are pretty dangerous if not done accurately, so I hope we see an updated vid at some point.
at 9:26, 9:43, 9:47 & 10:43 the mentioning of "Background or lanturn" makes me think that they can be different colors from each other. Gets me a little confused
During Azeyma's Wildfire Ward knockback mechanic, will popping Arm's Length/Surecast negate the need to reposition in a pinch to avoid getting damaged?
Omg I panicked on the scale mechanic so many times as I had no idea what to do, I was just running around like an idiot, would have been better to just pick a side and let others react. duuuurhh.

One point - for the red/blue phases of Nald'thal, the color of the arena can change mid-cast, so be aware of that possibility.

I did better with this raid first run than any other in the past, I died twice first go, which as a melee is good for me. usually about 6 times

I can't avoid the meteors in the Nald'thal fight, I just can't it's physically impossible for me lmao then you got a tank with 6 vulnerability stacks

Ive found that the easiest way to do this is if you wait until the first knockback pops off and then use AL/SC for the second and third knockbacks
