Wow...you have really got a unique motorcycle! The seat, color, saddles and all the accessories are first class. Hope you enjoy it and ride many more safe miles!
Great looking bike! Even in the evening light, the paint looks amazing! The red sparkle really did pop. The Tsukayu bags look fantastic too. Good idea adding the USB port.
Please help me, i just bought the vn1700cc 2010 model but i cannot find the cooland filing, on manual it says that is on the driver seat lock side. Do i have to unlock the seat first and after open the side cover????
Respect your resolve. The bike looks better than before in my opinion. It's unique and has character. If you don't mind me asking, how did the accident happen?
I was coming down a hill outside Valemont BC and I believe it was a pipe that had dropped out of a pick up laying on the road and it blended right into the road. I went down and rode the bike a bit then pushed off the bike as thought it would roll once it hit low speed and caught the pavement. I rolled once complety then road on my butt down the hightway. I was doing about 110 kms an hour when it happened. I came out of it with road rash on lower legs and one no rash on the butt but could not walk for three months was to sore was wheelchair bound for that time. I also had a fractured wrist that was operated on and got pins and nuts and bolts I guess in it.
BTW put some locktite on those windshield chrome bolts. Lost 1 after reinstalled, vibration. Luckily got another complete backup set however the lower has a spacer which is on back order throughout the U.S. Mine didn’t fall off fortunately, pressure kept it in place otherwise windshield not usable unless you rig up something 😋
Nice review....But can you tell some more about seats?Looks very comfy! Is from Russel or another upholster?Coz I'm guess it's not factory seat.Thank's in advance!
The seat is amazing. They are made in California day-long.com/ and are about probably 1400 bucks now. Mine is leather and is so comfortable I can ride all day on it.
Beautiful! Nicest Nomad I've seen! I have the 1600 Nomad, didn't buy the 1700 because I didn't like the bags. But you nailed it! I think Kawasaki would have sold more Nomads if not for those fat, ugly bags. Ride safe.
Unless you chose the name Journey for your bike Kawasaki only built 4 models and were named as per their style of upgrade and Journey is not one of them.
Very well done, a MASTERPIECE OF A MACHINE, Nothing else like it!
