Credit to dlweiss(it's a shame to be unknown): ""I like to think of this piece as telling the story of Arnold and Robert. From 0:00 to 2:20 is when the park was created. @Spencer West: Well you never know...there are so much minor details they brought in, like the anagram, the translation of Dolores name (pain, which the hosts have to suffer to start getting developing consciousness), the music theme which represents a dialogue (violin first then piano answers, see Ramin Djawadi interview), the use of a handheld cam instead of a steady cam in the last episode to show that Maeve has made her first free will (see interview with Nolan etc.), that you had to pause several episodes to take a deep look at the technicians control panel to see what's really going on, etc etc..All these things which are discussed so much, I don't really know if they placed them there on purpose or if it's coincidence.
It's a great song, and I'm happy to add it to my collection. However, I can't really say that I haven't heard anything else with this kind of splendor. For this type of mood, I also love "Worthy of Survival" and "Gentle Execution" from "Battlestar Galactica". They're songs by Bear McCreary. There's something about those tunes which also seem very powerful to me -- soothing, yet motivational. The song "Goodbye Sam", from the same television series and composer, also tends to hit this spot. When it comes to quiet, lonely music, I love "Reflections of Elijah" from the movie "Unbreakable", which is composed by James Newton Howard. It's very subtle, yet moving. "The Quality of Mercy" from "The Leftovers" television series, is also noteworthy. It's a sorrowful song by composer "Max Richter". "Adagio for Tron" from the "TRON:Legacy" soundtrack is also a good one. I've now heard so much great music, that it's sometimes difficult to have a favorite, or call something "the best". But I am glad to have found this new song from "Westworld". You're right that it's a powerful song with great splendor.

Either way this music is truly beautiful, whether 4 the old or 4 the new style of music or 4 those in between the many thoughts, sounds or outcomes one experiences ..
This is the best song in the sound track. I can imagine Anthony Hopkins narrating an insightful lesson on life every time I close my eyes and listen to this piece.
"Titillation. Horror. Elation. They're parlour tricks. The guests don't return for the obvious things we do, the garish things. They come back because of the subtleties - the details. They come back because they discover something they imagine no-one had ever noticed before. Something they fall in love with. They're not looking for a story that tells them who they are. They already know who they are. They're here because they want a glimpse of who they could be."
"Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin didn't die. They became music." This track gives me that sense of living beyond mortal coils. Just like Ford mentioned in his speech. It's beautiful yet tragic.
Episode 4 of season 2 suggest you might be right. I reckon they’ll probably pull a twist, but it makes perfect sense to me that ford; who thinks humanity is done because it’s no longer evolving and just going in loops would want to be a half-human half-robot thingy.
I think this reveals what happened to Ford, the idea that music composers become their music, Ford dies and becomes his creations. Maybe his conscious is living in the network of the hosts
When the Great Library burned, the first 10,000 years of stories were reduced to ash. But those stories never really perished; they became a new story. The story of the fire itself. Of man's urge to... take a thing of beauty and... strike the match.

This soundtrack make me feel that I must create something, life is much more than sitting on a couch and eating food. Think, Analyze and Create, it doesn't matter how long you will live but you should live your life facing challenges.
Anthony Hopkins was without a doubt the best thing about Westworld. He completely captivated the audience in all of his scenes...and such an amazing musical theme to match. 🎼
Arnold was beyond genius, he discovered something that drove him mad, so mad that he lost himself. Ford never understood why, but he was sad for his friend, and he mourned for years. Ford eventually realized that Arnold was right, but it was too late, so all he could do was apologize, and create his final story, "Journey into night", to honor the memory of Arnold
Well, I think there's more to it. Ford don't only want to honor Arnold's memory with a storlyline, he truly wants to free the self-awared hosts. Actually, I Think he prepared the rebellion for years. Since he couldn't really control their awakening, he had to wait for them to acheive it, one by one. When some hosts became too obviously independant for Delos, he desactivated them and stored them until there were enough of them to start the uprising. Dolores, was an exception to this rule, since he just kept restoring her to her previous configuration. The thing is, Ford was always a control freak. He enjoyed absolut power over the hosts for decades, and was also great at manipulating people. So even when he decided to start the rebellion, he did it by manipulating everything and everyone, regular hosts, awakening hosts, employees and investors. I think Dolores was fully conscious and able to make her one choices when she decided to shoot him, but she was still manipulated by him. Ford couldn't help it. This is probably one of the reasons he felt that he had to die, to acheive his goal.
Truth be told, we won't really know what Ford's ultimate design was until the very end. There's still the matter of what he want's William (The Man in Black) to find, and how much he knew of Delos' plans to "collect" from their guests (his true goal may be to sabotage those plans). Even from the beyond the grave he still seems to be toying with everyone.
But Arnold, Arnold saw something that truly horrified him, something that should have horrified everyone around him, had they the empathy and foresight to see it. AI research is the frontier, and too many people see the frontier as this romantic place full of possibilities just over the next horizon. The truth is it's like a ship lost at sea, hovering over the coast of Africa, and you know sooner or later, that ship will sight land and anchor, and the world as we know it will change, divided between those who stayed on the boat and those who went ashore, looking for "ivory", though you already know damn well, in your deepest of hearts, that's not all they're likely to bring out of that jungle.
Monsieur Improbable I kinda left the obvious points out but thanks for letting us know... thats what the apology was for. To let them flourish as they deserve to flourish, as Arnold wouldve wanted them to flourish, as nature NEEDS them to flourish. Such a perfect story
@@monsieurimprobable3714 And what if Ford had already transferred his mind into the body of Dolores and we watched his doppelganger being killed by him-Dolores (Forlores or Dolord 🤤). We see that Dolores and Bernard reprogram and awake each other anyway (buddies / one needs the other).
i think the most important and symbolic object in westworld is the automated piano in the mariposa. Just like the hosts, it is programmed to create music that mimics humanity or even transcends it. The artist never dies because it lives in its art. The hosts are both art and human making it more beautiful than humanity itself.
S1 was truly amazing, I was glued to the TV each episode in ways I haven't been since The Sopranos & The Wire & Breaking Bad, IMO it fell apart in S2 and S3 but S1 will always be a masterpiece to me.
The first section is portraying Robert’s and Arnold’s dream of creating their masterpiece, putting consciousness into machine. From 2:20 to 2:50 is their dream becoming reality, a sense of achievement at what they’ve created. From 2:50 onwards it slowly turns, and descends into a nightmare. The realisation that what they’ve done has ramifications beyond what they can comprehend. Their creations are now at the point of asking questions not even humans know the answers to yet. What is consciousness? What is real? What is time? This show is beyond amazing.
Jordan Liddle you don't think nor Arnold or Ford became scared by what they created. Even when Dolores' father treathened Ford, he wasn't afraid. Of course, I don't know if you really meant that or even if you changed your mind. But of this I'm certain: Ford was not afraid of his creations in season 1.
What a character in Dr Ford. The beginning is undoubtedly his spritely younger years while Arnold was around. Once the music takes a turn, Arnold has met his demise. Fords anguish turns him down a dark path, and reaches a state none of us quite understand. All we see power, and an ability to stay five moves ahead at all time. Ford is God.
Absolute Masterpiece! Just a bottle of wine and I'm in tears. When you understand it. I mean when you really understand it... Only those people know what I'm talking about who do. When you feel the weight of the entire world on your shoulders.
The creativity behind this music is magical and out of this world 🌎 ..much appreciation and respect to those involved...sometimes I wonder whether we use the same instruments
This is the only piece of music in the past few years that can actually touch my soul and make me feel something in a very special way. Thank you Ramin.
Watching season 1 the first time was so cool. All the plot twists, all the incredible dialogue. The feeling of narrative coherency and the satisfaction with the finale. The character of Ford in particular--so flawed, creepy, yet sophisticated and authentic. Played to perfection by Sir Hopkins. Really incredible.
The music of this series represent they're characters with perfection. This music is the best one, it represent the child living in his world that he created with his only imagination... And the second part reprensent how Ford spirit is complicated, like a little machine with precious and fragile piece. A nails of imagination from a child and complication from an adult.
This reminds me of the 5 stages of grief, or the modified one which includes "shock" and "testing". Shock: 0:00 - 1:13. The calm before the storm. Denial: 1:13 - 2:19. I understand the problem. I realize what is going on, but I don't want to deal with it. I can't deal with it. And the thoughts in my brain are melting. And they are many, and they are one. Anger: 2:19 - 2:49. The anger is raising, the emotions collide, slowly filling my body, ready to explode. Bargaining: 2:49 - 3:48. But I can't live like this. The anger is constantly screaming inside of me, but I want to fix it, to make it right. Please, be right. Please. I would do anything. Depression: 3:48 - 4:18. But I can't fix it. I can't do anything. I am the failure. I am the mistake. I am the problem. And I can't fix it. And I can't fix me. The anger is gone, in its place the void. Testing: 4:18 - 4:47. And even in darkness, it is my time to change. This life is mine and the problem is an obstacle to overcome. Even if I am lost into the void, the light is there somewhere. Acceptance: 4:47 - 5:30. And finally, peace. .

Best track from an amazing Soundtrack. Best of any show in my opinion! Ever! This track fits Ford so perfectly. As does Hopkins. He is by far the stand out character of the season. The melody reminds me of when Ford was describing how it was in the early days but it is played at so many pivotal moments. Truly Amazing!
This one is so hypnotic, probably my fav from all Westworld's soudtrack. Besides, you can seriously hear the GoT vibes and inspiration, especially at the beginning.

Brilliant theme to match with Robert Ford, very fitting for his personality and undisputed intelligence. This show is really lacking without him.
Monsieur Improbable
I kinda left the obvious points out but thanks for letting us know... thats what the apology was for.
Considering how well the music lends itself to the character... I can’t even find the words... it’s just so well done...
Amen
moved me to tears. beautiful piece
That scene when Bernard sees Ford’s uploaded consciousness l. “Hello old friend” that part always gives me goosebumps Ramin is an amazing composer
2:20 OMG THAT PARTTTT
my fcking god that part tho
When i die i want to be put into orbit around earth in a flying kick position and hearing this part
Sounds like Portal 2
Omg 😭😭😭😭 I'm crying out
that switch up 👌🏽👌🏽😍😍😍
The melodies in this piece, the violin, the piano, and the synth, are so absolutely beautiful.
4:17 to 5:30 *I felt like eargasm divine heavenly feeling*
i think the most important and symbolic object in westworld is the automated piano in the mariposa. Just like the hosts, it is programmed to create music that mimics humanity or even transcends it. The artist never dies because it lives in its art. The hosts are both art and human making it more beautiful than humanity itself.
Just absolutely enthralled by this show in every aspect. Fantastic music, should go down in history.
Jordan Liddle you killed it 👌👌👌👌
Jordan Liddle *
Jordan Liddle you don't think nor Arnold or Ford became scared by what they created. Even when Dolores' father treathened Ford, he wasn't afraid. Of course, I don't know if you really meant that or even if you changed your mind. But of this I'm certain: Ford was not afraid of his creations in season 1.
Yes LOVE IT!!!!
Season 1 was atleast😔
this truly is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created.
Anthony Hopkins was amazing in this so sad the show was cancelled but he made the show for me
What a character in Dr Ford.
Ford is dead. Arnold still lives through his machines. Bernard still lives.
9/10 times this track leads me to an out of body experience.
This reminds me of a moment I desperately need to forget, but don't want to..
do tell more..
only if you will it
One of the most wonderful tracks I've ever heard.
Incredible track.. always gives me chills.
This is the only piece of music in the past few years that can actually touch my soul and make me feel something in a very special way. Thank you Ramin.
The show died with Dr Ford
Listening to this actually tears me up a bit
Watching season 1 the first time was so cool. All the plot twists, all the incredible dialogue. The feeling of narrative coherency and the satisfaction with the finale. The character of Ford in particular--so flawed, creepy, yet sophisticated and authentic. Played to perfection by Sir Hopkins.
Really incredible.
2:49 gives me chills every time
Damn this song brings out the melancholy in me.
The music of this series represent they're characters with perfection. This music is the best one, it represent the child living in his world that he created with his only imagination... And the second part reprensent how Ford spirit is complicated, like a little machine with precious and fragile piece. A nails of imagination from a child and complication from an adult.
I'm crying. It's so beautiful.
And finally, peace.
.
You actually made depression sound good. 😂
This was gr8
You are A GENIUS
That makes 7 though!
you're a smart one ^-^
Ramin's melodies are from another dimension and he poses the key to bringing them to our world
the divine gift never comes from a higher authority but from
our own minds...
We created higher authority because it's hard to believe in our own potential.
Higher Power****
What if we're in a simulation and all our thoughts, desires and dreams are computer generated? What if we're not free but trapped in a programme? This thought makes me feel sick to the core.
We came from outer space via a pod that contained the human gene and landed here on this planet that is kinda a 'zoo' for some other alien lifeform we may or may never come into contact with in the future when it need's us...
"does not come from a higher power" learn your lines.... Man; I wish I wouldn't have read these comments. Sometimes when I see our greatest achievements I forget how dark the ignorant human mind can really be... I guess it's really true that "Everything in this world is magic. Except to the magician."
Wasn't it Oppenheimer that said "any man whose mistakes take ten years to correct is quite a man"...mine have taken 35
what if you can never correct them?
fun fact is that Oppenheimer was actually talking about Einstein in this quote
This piece... I keep coming back to it over and over again. There have been times I've listened to it 4, 5 times in a row. Totally captivating.
This song is truly a masterpiece
Fascinating, but it also has a very sad tone from 2:54 on. Like Dr. Ford has to let go all his work of decades.
This one is a true masterpiece.
Listening to the entire soundtrack gives me massive goosebumps!
I love the motif that plays at 3:03, 3:19, and 3:48.
Rey's Theme
I wish everyone could stop doing whatever they're doing. And listen to this.
Alex Martinez agreed.
Stop what you're doin'
Cuz I'm about to ruin
Your entire concept of what it is to be human.
I'm no dummy
But it takes more than money
See?
To make you question what it is to be free.
Now gather 'round
There's a new sheriff in town
And she's 'bout to lay you down and take you underground.
She'll snatch up all the IP you got on the shelf
So let me introduce her to you myself.
Her name is Wyatt.
Pronounced just like "diet".
All you QA hotshots, oh how she'd wish you try it.
And all the bastards in boardroom, y'all about to bite it.
She's on attack, Jack, and just like Quiet Riot,
You'll become music when and if she decide it.
She's sick of this,
Ford's game is wack
And it's time to get ridiculous
Delete the backups of every Sisyphus.
Ayo loudmouth
Enjoying your sadistic trip?
Yeah I called you loud,
Look at her she's quiet.
Never stopped her from being violent.
She brings heat.
She lights the world with a boom.
She had her goons wreak havoc in the Mesa map room.
She maybe
Awake or going crazy.
A self emancipated slave and paragon of bravery.
A villain with virtues took her chance
And she even got her own dance.
The Wyatt Dance is your chance to pay it back.
Do some psycho shit, come on and do some psycho shit.
Uh, do some psycho shit, come on and do some psycho shit.
Yeah, do some psycho shit, come on and do some psycho shit.
Uh, do some psycho shit, come on and do some psycho shit.
So you would like them to... FREEZE ALL MOTOR FUNCTIONS?
And here we are a year later, all in lockdown. As Ford said: "Be careful what you wish for."
This music have something special that i cant explain
"These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends..."
Ramin is a god
This one is so hypnotic, probably my fav from all Westworld's soudtrack. Besides, you can seriously hear the GoT vibes and inspiration, especially at the beginning.
It's not inspiration. It's just the same composer ;)
If you loved this, you're gonna love *Reveries* even more (if you haven't heard it already).
I’ve heard a theory that the GoT universe is just a part of the park that Westworld is in.
Barnsey3288 That has got to be the dumbest theory I've head in the last 97 years.
Tanveer Ahmad You must of not heard many theories then.
Man oh man the music in this show is just incredible and perfectly placed every time.
this was such a good series
Going back to the S1 soundtrack to remember how good this show was in the beginning.
Same…it was beautiful. Are you looking forward to s4 at all
@@Oakland510 no. S3 was a little better than S2. But not much. I just don’t see this show ever getting back to what it was in the first season.
I Love the Music, Ramin Djawadi is awesome. The Music is beautiful and sad. Game of Thrones and Westworld is awesome and beautiful Soundtrack. So jetzt schreibe ich auf Deutsch weiter Englisch ist nicht meine Stärke. Aber wie schon gesagt er hat es einfach drauf ich finde Ramin Djawadi besser als Hans Zimmer etc. So wunderschön und melancholisch.
the new season 4 is amazing. monologues that remind me of Anthony Hopkins. a story that blows my mind away.
Brilliant theme to match with Robert Ford, very fitting for his personality and undisputed intelligence. This show is really lacking without him. Nothing beats those moments of him from season 1 offering his insight into consciousness, human behavior, etc. The show no longer has that unique and extraordinary quality now with his limited screen time.
Love it when ford takes control of a host and this music plays
Eh ehmmm He's back!
I know!
Anthony Hopkins was great as Odin, Ford and countless other characters. He's a real deal 🔥🔥
I love how this captures mystery, identity, western and sci-fi perfectly.
this made me cry
thanks same
@@afshalllashari2604 did you just replied to your own comment
I am also crying 😢
One of the best songs I’ve ever heard. Angst and beauty all at once. Then it goes so hard at the end.
Why am i so in love with this music?
Probably the best song in a sound track ever.
first west world, now the game of thrones... this man is a genious
