- After my first impressions, let's take a deeper dive into Train Sim World 2 - and by deeper, I mean deep underground! We're running the Zone One scenario today on the Bakerloo Line, driving a 1972 Stock train - with a h*cking cute whistle! - from Waterloo to Queen's Park early in the morning, so let's brew up a cuppa tea and head into the city on Train Sim World 2!

Re the window opening. In the old days there were no radios underground. If the train stalled in the tunnel, the driver woukd open the window and clip a phone to two wires running along the tunnel so he could speak to the signaller. I also understand that by squeezing the wires together, the short cuts traction power and allows a safe evacuation. That might still be in use too. So there is a need to open the window.
Ahhh! That explains a lot - thank you :)
The button is called Droplight Interlock
I enjoyed that video! Thanks
In your other vid of bakerloo line, when you said the window can’t open, You can press a button and you can drive with the window open
Apparently to do with the south London clay but soon will be extended to lewisham and hopefully beyond
Indeed! I've seen the proposal to extend the Bakerloo to Lewisham :)
At 1:48 specifically, you see the 'Door Light Interlock' Switch, with the options 'Cut In/Cut Out'? You have the option to cut that out, allowing you to drive the 1972 Stock, with the windows open!
Aha! Mystery solved! Thank you :)
@@HeyItsAJOmega No problem! :)
"Well, I'm not having anyone staring in disbelief at MY willy suspension!"
I like the old Bakerloo line stock, with their 2+2 seating arrangements and No Smoking signs.
Agree that Marylebone > Moor Street is the more scenic way between London and Birmingham.
If someone puts a gun to your head and asks you to sing, go with Mr. Brightside.
Hi 👋 just watched your video and noticed you said you can’t open the window and drive, in fact you actually can it was addressed on one of the train sim streams, if you look on the back wall towards the bottom left corner of the window on the drivers side below the number 2 you will notice a grey toggle switch which says I believe “cut in” if you switch this toggle switch to “cut out” you can then drive with your window open.
Hope this helps 😊
Ahaaa! Mystery solved!! Thank you 😊
This is an awesome video. I really love Train Sim World. Also you can turn on the Train lights for the passengers
On your left back
If my memory serves me rightly it's the northern line north bound at bank with the original "MIND THE GAP"
It's Embankment
That's it! :)

xD
@@HeyItsAJOmega Also noticed you didn't turn on the passenger saloon lights! 😂
@@XNick291X OH! Let's just say I kept the passengers in the dark cos it was early, they could have a nap on the train ;)
Also relating to the clip in paddinton, saw it on youtube a couple of days ago, if my memory serves me right it was bbc
It was, yeah! My dad remembers being invited to the BBC to watch the segment with his family, exclusive benefit of being a 'guest' on the show 😆
Great video man what do you use to edit your videos and if you could please may i have a link. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! Its DaVinci Resolve :)
You can drive the train with the window open by setting the Droplight to Cut Out
lol quality!! maybe its one of those rare droplight handbrakes!!
Oh really? Thanks for the tip - that solves that conundrum! :D
This is how the trains work in real life, you only open the window for radios and buttons
The way out points to a secret entrance to Hogwarts
THERE WE GO! We've solved the mystery xD
28:00 its a combination of poor geology and the fact that when the underground was first being built the SE already had an extensive network of mainlines that North London didn't have (and still doesn't - really).
I see! That explains it - so the North needed more of a network than the South at that time?
@@HeyItsAJOmega yes, partly. Most of the mainline network has barely changed in all that time
I might actually get Tim Sim World 2. I have got the 1st ever Train Sim World and its not a bad game. But Train Sim World 2 sounds lot better than the 1st one. Nice.
It's pretty good, you know? :)
@@HeyItsAJOmega 😊
I think the reason you're in zone 8 is because you're not in London 😂
My parents are in Essex and that's zone C
...I mean, only *just* not in London xD And what does Zone C translate to?
@@HeyItsAJOmega that's the official name, on the map it just says special fares apply.
