    I see way too many different versions people use for songs and it’s annoying because I want to know which way is the correct way. So I hope this one is the correct

    The amp settings are 10/10. What did you do to get this sound ?

      I'm glad you liked it!
      I use Bias FX (1) for my tone. There are two main presets I use (rhythm & lead) and I went through both in this video: ruclips.net/video/JELOdpRk_0Q/видео.html
      It's also important to mention that I use the bridge pick-up for most of the rhythm stuff.

    Great video MZ! I'm not the best player by any means, but I find it easy to follow along to your vids. One thing I have trouble with is the shred sections of songs and solos, and I think a tips video or something like that could help people like me out a lot

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  2 года назад +3

      Glad the videos are helping out! I have gone over tips for shredding and lead guitar in my old 2 year progress video: ruclips.net/video/Ffoqd5Vuydc/видео.html
      The general tips in that video are things I preach to this day.
      I may do some more videos for some more specific things in the near future as well.

    Hi bro . I really admire that you're skillfull and talented and not to be forgotten u have such a close tone to synyster gates' one . I just wanna know what amp do u use or any kind of simulator/plugins in making this helpful tutorial . I'm expecting a reply , keep it up good job man , thank u

    • @MZguitar

      Thanks a lot man!
      There are two tones used in this video and most of my other videos. The lead tone and the rhythm tone. I get both from the amp & effects simulator Bias FX 1. There's a newer version of it now but I've stuck with the old one as I have not felt the need to upgrade. The rhythm tone is a tone I've downloaded off the bias FX tone cloud. It was made by somebody else. The lead tone was designed by my brother. I showcase both the virtual set-ups in this video: ruclips.net/video/JELOdpRk_0Q/видео.html

    Hey man. With Verse one. Are you just strumming the A and G string? When I attempt to play it, I also strum the string in between and it doesn’t sound quite right. Love your vids btw!

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  Год назад

      Sorry for the late reply! I don't know if you've figured it out yet but I suppose there's no harm in typing out a reply.
      First up I feel it's important to clarify that what you're referring to is referred to as an octave shape on the 5th string (The A string, but I prefer to use this numerical labeling).
      You're playing two notes together that are the same note but one is a higher pitched version of the other. These come up often in metal and rock songs.
      Regarding the technicality of playing, it's important to mention that the 4th string is actually being played but it is completely muted out.
      There are two things you need to do to nail octaves:
      1- Use the arch of your index finger to mute the 4th string. You'll want your index finger (which would be playing the lower note of the octave on the 5th string) to gently make contact with the 4th string to prevent it from vibrating as you strum the octave. You don't want to bar or exert any sort of pressure on the 4th string. Just contact. I also try to keep the tip of my index finger also making slight contact with the 6th string to keep it stabilized as well.
      2- Keep the strumming radius to the strings that need to be played as much as possible. This obviously doesn't apply to the 4th string, but it's good to avoid unnecessarily hitting the other strings even if they are muted by the index finger.

    damn i'm tryna see how syn plays the second interlude, cause i'm trying to learn the lead guitar.

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад

      If by second interlude, you mean interlude 2 here at 5:18 , then I'd say that there is no lead there. They are both strumming powerchords before the lead goes back in in interlude 3.

    is interlude 2 just the chorus?

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад

      No. Interlude 2 is 4 measure chord progression with a specific strumming pattern while the chorus is an 8 measure chord progression with a different strumming pattern.

    I think you forgot Syn's parts cuz these are just Zacky's parts plus the solo

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад +1

      I didn't forget the parts. I just don't teach two parts for one section. That is not how I do these tutorials. I'll usually transcribe whichever part I find more fun to play. If a part is too inaudible (which is very rare), then I'll transcribe the other one as I'd rather go for something I can get more accurately. I also have no idea which part is syn's and which is zacky's. I transcribe based on the before mentioned parameters.
