This movie has always creeped me out. I can't help but love it. The tension and atmosphere is expertly crafted and you truly feel the sense of chaos and mental stress that Richard Gere is experiencing.
Yay! Thanks, Jason. I've been looking forward to this. My favorite lines are "Wake up, number 37" and "great tragedy on the river Ohio". The implication of both is so creepy.
Supposedly the reason the filmmakers lowered the numbers from 46 to 36 is because the disaster happened to close to Christmas and the filmmakers thought that would be too depressing.
Love this one too. As for the body count being less in the movie, the only thing I can think is that it must have been for legal reasons. Maybe somewhere in that other 10 people, there were families who were affected and that didnt want to be associated with it, and 10 was just a round number. If not that, I think it must be some other sort of a legal thing, but legality is the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me.
This is one of those movies I remember loving when I watched ot but haven't watched it again incase it doesn't live up to that memory 😅. Same with another film I saw around the same time called The Gift with Cate Blanchet.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420I thought Katie Holmes is the girl that goes missing and Cate Blanchett is the psychic no? Maybe I'll have to revisit this one now 😅🤔
Hey, man, just wanted to say I’m really loving your channel, so far. You’re doing such a cool job. Never thought I’d see a recent video on Mothman Prophecies (which I’ve always hated lol). God bless you and your kids. Thank you for being a father in their life. You have no idea how much that will mean to them, throughout life.
Is there any other movie, that made me wanna go to internet and search whether this is actually true or not? Blairwitch Project probably. This film really tricked me or I would say put me in a spell for quite some time. I really still want to see a film that can have the same effect on me. Other films are eery too, but Mothman Prophecies did something that still lingers in me. I hope there is another film with this mythological creature, because I love mystery, I love the fun of not knowing, the fear of the unknown, the eternal unknown.
i saw this with my brother earlier and i fell asleep for about half an hour. I dosed off right after the wake up number 37 dream and woke upto see the ending. It kinda freaked me the fuck out but it was good movie none the less
Was watching one of ur new reviews and someone commented please review the mothman prophecies and u respond done with a link. That was quite the gangsta move. Felt the least I could do is give this video a view. P.S. I have to t shirts that claim I'm the number one dad. So I'll c ur stickers and raise u 2 t shirts!! Call
I can’t believe how overrated this movie felt to me, it reminded me of the feeling I had when the fourth kind came out. I’m all about slow Burn atmosphere, it’s my favorite genre, but this script was all over the place

I love this film . Brilliant chemistry between Laura Linney & Richard Gere. They were also great together in Primal Fear

You’re so welcome sweetheart
The best line.... What do u look like....
Depends on who's looking.
Wow I had no idea this was PG-13. The opening musical score of this film is absolutely beautiful and haunting.
This is one of the deepest emotional rides of any movie.Awsome as F!
So good
I just clicked but haven’t watched yet. I love this movie. I’ve been meaning to re-watch it for a while.
That scene in the motel with Gere on the phone...fucking scary as fuck
Crazy before you said that line I knew you were gonna say Chapstick
My fav line
The movie that scared the hell out of my son and me, was the fourth kind. And of course session 9😄😄😄
Yes I agree that is a really good movie

Early 2000s has some excellent sleeper films

Blevins is the name of the FBI guy Scully reports to in the pilot for the X-files, maybe that's why it rings a bell.
Great review, I loved this film.
Own and love this movie

Sinister Cinema Reviews Definitely not lol. Still have a VHS in my house, from when my family bought it, though lol.
