This looks so good. I have a few Wall-e figures, including the die-cast disney store one, which is pretty nice, the arms also slide through the body as well as extend, but it has pretty bad articulation, a soft sculpt, being made of metal, and a very basic brown wash over everything, instead of being neatly and specifically applied. Back then, it was probably the closest thing to this we got, but this just comes ahead of every other Wall-e figure I've seen.
And yeah, those eyes are fantastic. This figure just has almost everything that I wanted out of a Wall-e figure. Only things I can think of that are missing are maybe the closed in arms, which they could have done the same way they did the flat plate for his head, and some forward/back articulation at the legs. I don't really miss the tracks having wheels, as the U-repair Wall-e has them and they don't roll, and they're actually kinda fragile as the tracks are made from rubber, which actually started ripping apart on mine.
It's kinda funny that this one is basically the revoltech version, only done better and more accurate. Mattel overdid themselves with it! It's awesome to finally have an ultimate Wall-e figure. My birthday is coming up, so I'm getting this as a bd present for myself :)

The DIsney Store Wall-E figure is the same sculpt as mattel's standard Wall-E, atleast with the main body part. the dents and damaged sculpting is identical. This Spotlight series is much closer to the Disney store one, but I still feel like the disney store version might be on top. It had the garbage cube as well, but it wasn't scaled as well. I am in love with the printed weathering on this one, but I with they had done it on the arms and face as well. It kind of makes the other bits stand out. If they had weathered the head and sides of the arm (mainly the stripes. The way they did it makes it look really cheap compared to the printing.) but I feel this is one of the best wall-e's to date. The only ones that even remotely compare are probably the Disney Store deluxe figure, the Revoltech, and potentially the Thinkway U-Repair Wall-E. The U-Repair had a great sculpt, but had little to no weathering outside of a faint brown wash.
This Wall-E really does a good job of capturing the look and feel of him though. From the articulation, (the sliding arms, and pivoting treads add a lot of expression. Even the split down his garbage panel is accurate. The garbage cubes that he make don't fit through the front door, he has to split open a bit for them to slide out. Great detail!), to the printed on weathering, to the sculpted lenses, and all of the detailed accessories that he comes with. I feel that it is a very solid figure, definitely worth the money, even with the small nitpicks I have. Hopefully we'll see an Eve, or maybe some of the other Wall-E characters. I definitely feel like Eve will be made if the series does well, but I can't see them making any more past Wall-E and Eve unless they are just slight variations of the two. I can dream though haha!
Where did you get this? From what I can tell, it isn't available anywhere yet outside of some sketchy sites with lowres promo pictures. Thanks for the great showcase! It looks even better on camera than it did in the promo shots!

Incase you missed it, his treads actually move too. The little hydraulics arms that they're attached to underneath his body can move around if you extend them. That lets you have him raised up higher, or leaning to one side. It's another detail I've wanted to see in a Wall-E, but only one had done it as far as I know. Now, there is another!
edited: Okay, maybe I should have waited a few minutes to comment that. Apologies!

I got mine yesterday. I'm having a lot of issues with the button that's inside of him that's supposed to be used for replacing the head/eyes. I put on the ''scared'' eyes and now I can't take them off because I keep pressing on the button and it won't come off. Any suggestions?
