I have to have a closure and a dot cover..I also prefer off white paper instead of stark white.
I bought a softcover a few days ago without an elastic closure and instead, got some travelers notebook closures and punched a hole in the middle of the spine and am using that. It’s working perfectly ❤

I bought one too! Mine is lined paper, because I'm one of those weird people who likes lines. Anyway, I'm really loving writing in it, and tonight I stuck it into my new Chic Sparrow Creme Brule wide cover. It looks pretty good in there!

I have the soft covered lined Moleskine. The regular version. I kind of just started it so I'm going to wait and get the thicker lined one when I'm almost done. The soft cover is my favorite. I love the feel. I can't handle all textures and so the soft cover Moleskine is perfect for me.

Oh my goodness, this is so timely. I just now got home from Barnes & Noble where I examined each and every Moleskine notebook on the shelf until I finally narrowed it down to 3 options. And then I carried them around the store trying to figure out which one I really wanted. And the funny thing is, like you, I have a zillion notebooks, have sworn off buying any new paper, and really don't like Moleskine paper anyway. I didn't get one after all, but of course now I regret it and will probably go back tomorrow. 😄

We must have been separated at birth! I think my notebooks multiply in the night. How else explain how they just appear? I, too, have turned my back on chunky notebooks. My last Stalogy is actually round because of all the art, tipins, and memorabilia it contains. Yes. It's true. I adore the MD paper. ADORE. And my MD 365 art project is getting really, really chunky. What I love about pocket and A6 e.g. Field Notes and LT17 is that when I finish one, I can get a new notebook and use a different TN. I will probably return to A5 and B6 sometime but not today. And not tomorrow. heh heh heh.
I just pulled the lever on some silicone bands from Graffiti so I can wrap my MD for the time being...

I know I'm very late to this comment but: I watched a video by Accio Bujo here on RUclips in which she had cut the pages out of her Moleskine and punched them to fit a personal filofax. Well, I thought it was genius and I now cut the pages from notebooks I like and put them in my half letter discbound. PrettyLittlePocket on YT also cuts (I think it's Tomoe River paper) out of larger notebooks to use in a Gillio

I ordered that this morning plus other things. After watching her video too. Got a regular dotted, and two pocket one grid one blank. I’ve had regular grid in past but always got from BN or someplace. So will try the expanded. I tried Miguel Ruiz in past once loved thick but took forever not good when I take away I went back to thin notebooks it worked better now trying a guided one but might give one of this a try for summer as a second journal.

    • @donnapanzardo3058
      @donnapanzardo3058 5 лет назад

Sarah Martinez I found the Miguel Ruiz which I had gotten from BN yes I loved it but for a few people in group I’m in that used it the front pages started coming out but after using washi tape for a few pages it was ok in the summer I go to the shore on weekends I got off track using it yet I was doing a page a day. It was taking forever to finish loved the grid paper. I stopped switched to thinner journal then when I finished maybe more than one of them I switched back and was able to finish up the rest of the Miguel notebook. I always wanted to try a unlined notebook since I never go by lines anyway or a dotted one so this will give me the chance I was thinking of using one of the pocket size in my purse if I have something on the go. And in past I always liked when I could use a elastic around the notebooks. Found one that has a zipped pen case but now the zipper broke too many pens. I would like to get a new one of those think I got it at BN. I got notice my stuff was shipped.

I got caught in the moleskine expanded craze and chucked up only 2 so far. Now almost done with my 365 Stalogy, only 11 pages left on that one. 400 pages sounds intimidating but I see it as never ending possibilities to explore and play with my creative energy.. which is why it only takes me a month to finished one💀

The rabbit hole of notebooks 😱 I often question myself why? I just go with the flow and continue to experiment with T N’s and notebooks. This weekend I finally let go of too much art supplies and the supplies I don’t use any more since I no longer do scrapbooking. It’s taken me over a year to let go of stuff. I live in small apt and no extra room to store the stuff I had. At one time I had huge dresser but part of my downsize was letting that go and kept supplies in several totes now down to a teachers tote and these stacking baskets, a storage container for my stamps and a pink tool tote from Sears that holds all my pens & pencils🤭 I still struggle with wanting more but now I realize how many can one own? Trying to use what I have, so I keep on keeping on💕 Love your channel and sharing with you.

I have a cousin I started journaling in but I quickly dropped it. It just didn’t click. I don’t prefer how square the A5 is either. I’m falling out of love with TRP at the moment. My favorite paper is MD paper! I’m more drawn to thicker feeling paper these days...so many details to consider😅

    • @sarahmartinezjournals

I take them to fedex and they do it for about $2 a book. I just give them the measurements. Check with staples or Office Depot. They can do it for cheaper!

why would you want to fill the notebook as fast as possible? it sounds like you just write big to fill the page. but i don’t understand the value of the pages when there’s just a few words on them? i‘m actually curious about it, because notebooks are expensive.

I know the feeling, Karen! My Leuchtturm notebook fits perfectly flush in a CS pocket. I don’t know if I said in this video but I have the Leuchtturm hardcover in A6 (which is actually pocket size, just a smidge taller).

Hi i have had the same issue , so after much trial and error I now uses tombow river paper notebook .
The paper is Japanese and it is fantastic for fountain pens , when you first receive it you will think the paper is so thin that
it can not possibly work buti it does and I use a variety of inks
It is possible to purchase some sample sheets to try first
Hope this helps you from a FP fan

I hate Moleskine notebooks with a passion. Not only Rhodia paper is much better, most cheap notebooks use better quality paper. If you use fountain pens stay away from Moleskine, it is prone to bleed through
