I’m 35, single and spent the last 4 years working my butt off to establish financial independence. Unfortunately when I’ve been reliant on a partner they overuse their power. Do what u have to do to get out. With a smile. He was abusive to me, the children and the dogs. I found out after I left that He was infatuated with a worker and she was dissing him. He was angry and took it out on us.
THIS!!! I married at 24.. Had my son at 26 and left at 28.. I didn’t have financial independence but my parents were stable and their neighborhood they lived in (the neighborhood I grew up in and babysat kids) was established…. I partnered with another mom.. I took kids to school and she picked them up or my parents/siblings picked up my son from school.. I received clothes from some of the female doctors I worked with which allowed me to maintain my home.. Jehovah knows all and aligns the right people at the right time in your life if you are living your live according to his laws… Life isn’t fair nor is it easy, but it’s so worth it..♥️
I know the feeling! My dad was a chronic serial cheater! Every time my mom caught him I felt like he cheated on me! I grew up to repeat the same cycle myself. It took most of my life to understand why I chose to do that same thing over and over… I’m okay now without a relationship. I’m healing slowly but surely 🙏🏽. I kicked him out when my twins were 3 months old, they will be out of the house in a couple of yrs.Its not always easy but women are made of stronger stuff. It is an account that is built up over time AND NEVER TOUCHED unless and until she needs to exit the home on an emergency basis. It is just one component of financial independence. All women need financial independence for individual power and self sufficiency.
Same comments my mother taught me, as young as 6 years old. Always have your own, you may need to take care of a great husband one day when he might not be able to provide perhaps through a sickness or accident. Fumi you are absolutely correct!

This is why I never understood the "drive" of some women wanting to be trophy wives. 🤔 As a woman, I wouls feel so much pride in being a financial driving force in my marriage. One party owning all the financial power was always crazy concept to me because it can backfire. Admittedly, not wanting my partner to own all the financial power comes from a fearful place, but it has benefited me all my life. I hope Sis finds her footing and already had a solid foundation to help her move on. Because trust, as much as it's hard to believe youre in that place gurl, as much as your heart is breaking, as much as you think you can give him another try...you will never feel secure. My sister was married to a man who was a serial cheater. He was constantly running around with different women, he is a doctor and when he was in residency at a hospital. he began an affair with one of the nurses. He eventually left my sister to be with this other woman. It was devastating to her, they were high school sweethearts. He lived with this other woman and she truly believed he was going to marry her, but like auntie fumi said, he started affair with another woman. The woman he left my sister for, will call her Jane Doe,he dumped When she got pregnant, he dumped her for another woman that was working in his medical office. He married this 2nd woman from his medical office. he eventually dumped the 2nd woman that he married,for her best friend. (He dumped the best friend too)That was the pattern of his life and as far as I know that is what he has continued to do. So Fumi you are 100% on Target with this, so true.

As a woman, I wouls feel so much pride in being a financial driving force in my marriage. One party owning all the financial power was always crazy concept to me because it can backfire.
Admittedly, not wanting my partner to own all the financial power comes from a fearful place, but it has benefited me all my life.
I hope Sis finds her footing and already had a solid foundation to help her move on. Because trust, as much as it's hard to believe youre in that place gurl, as much as your heart is breaking, as much as you think you can give him another try...you will never feel secure. The bond was broken 💔.

It's true Fumi. I think some women if they are honest, they use men to take care of them because they think they are the price. And men can sense that mindset and manipulation and will use cheating as payback i.e. if you do what you want I also do what I want.
But men cheat on women with careers and money all the time. I've never heard a man say, "I don't cheat on my wife because she contributes financially to our household." Isn't it about a man's values and character?

My sister was married to a man who was a serial cheater. He was constantly running around with different women, he is a doctor and when he was in residency at a hospital. he began an affair with one of the nurses. He eventually left my sister to be with this other woman. It was devastating to her, they were high school sweethearts. He lived with this other woman and she truly believed he was going to marry her, but like auntie fumi said, he started affair with another woman. The woman he left my sister for, will call her Jane Doe,he dumped When she got pregnant, he dumped her for another woman that was working in his medical office. He married this 2nd woman from his medical office. he eventually dumped the 2nd woman that he married,for her best friend. (He dumped the best friend too)That was the pattern of his life and as far as I know that is what he has continued to do. So Fumi you are 100% on Target with this, so true.
