just leave the bowl of cereal it in the fridge with the top covered, it keeps it dry and fresh. then you can get the milk... always buy 1 extra if needed.
That's why you grab everything BEFORE pouring And then add the milk before the cereal- (Well, you obviously put the oats in first. If you do oat+cereal+milk, then the cereal will get wet)
