Hey greetings Awesome video! We found 18th century GOLD last week and some 2000 year old ROMAN coins, but dream of the day we find a hoard we've, subscribed to your channel.
Wonderful find... however, please, please, don't rub or scrub lovely old coins when you first find them! one spec of gravel in that soil and you'll score the coin! Take them home, soak in plain water and brush the dirt off with an old water colour brush,... could save a lot of heartache!
it was more than likely buried in a safe place in a leather bag or just a hole and for what ever reason the person who buried them didnt come back to collect mate
@@hepkat6497 i think in the end the coins were just jumping out, the other find spot which i have footage of they are removed by scraping just like proper time team stuff, but i still have that to edit

The only ones detecting in the area were the 4 that found and then appointed people going through rhe spoil. The area was cordoned off from everyone not involved

it will have to go to inquest then get valued before any money changes hands, it is a Very very long drawn out job, could take a couple of years
