This is the one reason I don't use Ornsteins spear even though I really want to. The AR is so low even against dragons, the specific things that the spear was made to slay! I could use any greatsword and achieve so much better results, so props to you for killing Midir with this shameful representation of an awesome weapon! Something I probably won't achieve (though I will try.)
For some reason I love this spear so much more in this game than in the previous ones, maybe because the AR can in fact deal pretty good damage if you get your distance right, at least against human opponents (bigger opponents will get the full light of the thing generally, so you can just go at them no problem), or maybe because in DS1 using the heavy one handed attack destroyed the thing and wasn’t that powerful, and the two handed heavy attack so slow. Considering what the second move of the DH heavy attack does, it’s one amongst many weapons where I don’t get why they didn’t programmed different moves for pressing twice rapidly, or something like. Apart from time and budget constraint, of course.
at the begining of the fight... he throws a lightning spear well 69 damage ... he's gonna die after the fight ... im still wondering how did he defeat midir, NICE FIGHT well I've defeated it too but I was doing 500+ damage
Well props to you for going toe to toe with Midir and defeating him, I personally had a hard time beating him that way cause for some reason it feels awkward taking dragons head on in dS3 or atleast for me it does. So I opted to throw on the silver knight armor and use the dragonslayer greatbow to take him down and sure enough it did the trick. But damn it definitely is a challenging boss fight for sure and I loved it!
The soundtrack alone is one of the greatest . Heroic yet saddening if you realize midir was there to protect . The tunes that describe elegance from what he was, glorious, ancient and now rotting away by the abyss. The music is worthy to dance to in a ballet almost .
When I got the armor and his spear after beating NK… and I got killed by this thing, I literally went back and maxed His weapon and finally beat him with it.
As a way too big Ornstein fan, I like the idea of the video, but the fight felt like it was your first try. I played the entire game (well after NK) with the Ornstein build (faith-dex hybrid). Almost defeated Midir on the first try, died mainly because had little idea how sweeping breath attack's hitbox works. So defeated it on the second try, then fought really a lot as a phantom... Because knight's highest calling, y'know... If only servers were open. I would slay so much more. Loved Gael and Midir's fights, easy but epic. Sometimes even die cuz not careful
I put down my summon sign for Midir a lot. Pretty much get instantly summoned. Most of the time, I end up carrying the summoner and soloing Midir. One ember per victory.
Or just farm lothric castle, you can get twenty embers in thirty minutes or less if you have gear on that boosts item discovery or just a high luck stat but honestly who even puts points into luck unless their running a hollow build lol.
The dragon slayer fighting the last known dragon, perfect.
Ornstien to Midir: you wouldn't scare me, pup, I've killed enough of your kind to decorate an entire room in Anor Londo with their heads!

O my God! The most epic fight I've ever seen. Great job!
They don't call him a Dragonslayer for nothing

Lightning Spear is just mainly for the cool effects :P. I was hoping to kill Midir with it as the final blow, but alas D:
SevereArtisan I see... Nice cosplay bro
SevereArtisan to be honest I’m trying to do it as well but I’m gonna try to kill the final blow w Ornstein’s spear weapon art

1:37 the man was a pixel away from getting his head chomped off
Marvellous. Fantastic work!
Thank you!
Ornstein:Lighting Spear!
(69 damage)
Ornstein:ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME
Good job Ornstein!
does the Dragon slayer helmet really come with the red plume?
Yup!
A shame that it didn’t come with the plume in DS Remastered…
"THIS IS FOR ARTORIAS YOU ABYSS FILLED GECKO!"
Great fight
Thank you :D

I wonder who is harder Dark eater midir or kalameet?
El asesino de dragones otro día más haciendo su trabajo

John Manard Matthew Shezmen ?
oh hell yes
I thought it was ornstein ai vs darkeater midir ai
와~정말로 어렵군요 미디르 패턴을 외우지 않는이상 일반적으로는 잡기 힘들겠네여
You make it look easy
It’s always impressive to me when I see a Midir kill. It took several tries with me, my buddy, and the NPC summon to beat him
Glad you liked it! This was while I was still figuring him out too. Nowadays he's much easier to kill for me.
when you play co op the bosses get more health and all the jazz midir is harder on co op than single player somehow
Wow !
Good!
