I really do pray that these trains are not vandalised by the local youiths IE graffiti etc as the Island should be proud of such an investment being made! to smarten up the tired old system that the Island had in the past!
One or two of them have been preserved for a museum, as part of the history of using a London Underground unit for a regional service. Making it the one and only of it's type in the world

@@tomedy_official All the links that I have read so far have said that the trackbed *hasn’t* been lowered. Bearing in mind also that I’ve spent time with Vivarail and nobody there has said anything about lowering the track.
CAM NO MORE! too expensive a webcam to run apparently. Didn't it have enough people watching it etc. to monetise it for RUclips though? Sorry, I know nothing about this, just a SHAME it's not on RUclips anymore! Still there's plenty of others out there of course! I wonder how's the revenue is going from making this webcam payments only?
@@tomedy_official it would have just been loaded as normal with cars/lorries in Portsmouth with obvious care taken in getting the weight balanced with the larger load.
The buses on the Isle of Wight I really the only way to get around the island. This line however is actually a non-profit service ideally to get people from the Isle of Wight to the mainland people hundreds of people between ryde and Shanklin go to places like London Southampton and Cardiff everyday.
A simple livery, but effective. Clean and crisp.
Fabulous footage. Very nice.

New locos look a bit slow🤣
Nice to see a Class 484 finally enter Ryde Esplanade. Shame about all the stupid comments on here though.
another great shot 👍
There's not much a Unimog can't pull
Loved the old trains the new ones have taken away a lot of history and that’s what people like
Nothing lasts forever. They were getting completely worn out and too expensive
The new trains have been fully overhauled but by the time the regular service restarts they will be over 40
But people like a competent service more.

@@tomedy_official that’s lovely to hear Tomedy thank you 😊
Clearance testing and the juice turned off??
What's wrong with that train being towed
They finally lowered the Tunnle
Wasn’t aware that the tunnel was being lowered.

@@tomedy_official Would be nice to have a link, or photos, of the trackbed being lowered. I can’t find any.
@@bfapple just give it time, if you go on the the website entitled Island Line upgrades they usually posted every new photo every now and then

Wha brought them over from southampton
Arrived by ferry from portsmouth
The same car ferries that the public use only one that was carrying this unit would have been preserved for it

@@mattlander9119 search on RUclips for class 484 arrival
Can't be that good if they have to tow it.
No it's because they turned off the current temporarily
This was also just the tunnel test
I’d rather have the bus now I ain’t got time to look at every single blade of grass on my journey

Oh looks like they are pissing about with it today but look rubbish no train can beat the riganul train
The Original train was a Steam train, is that what you meant !
This was fantastic, almost as good as watching paint dry. Why a tiny island needs a fucking railway defeats me.
Booo!
It had a massive railway network back in steam days
