I feel that summer is shorter in the southern hemisphere, because February only has 28 days and also summer usually ends around March 20. In contrast, in the northern hemisphere, August has 31 days, and summer ends around September 23. They are about a 5 difference in length of summer.

Ohh yeah if we count by days. During leap year it will be 4 days less.
