Hey Thomas i hope you read this message but as a writer how do you feel about the writer strikes but also your personal thoughts about it being a writer yourself
Supporting the writers on strike through and through. I hope they eat the executives.
@@UnicornofWar I’m kinda split on the one hand yes i agree good writers should be compensated for their work but the bad writers who wrote very bad series honestly it difficult to gauge
@@Dragonkid69 If it helps, the writers that are primarily going on strike are TV and Movie Production writers. These writers aren't singularly responsible for the outcome of what they produce and there are so many factors such as the directors, other members of the writing team, miscommunication, the production team, what restrictions or changes they're told to make by higher ups so it's hard to ascertain what makes a writer "bad."
Not to mention, if workers are paid less and given extremely strenuous schedules, then they'll be less motivated to do their best work. Most of these works aren't passion projects for the writers and if they're not given enough time to edit and refine the story, it won't turn out great.
Lastly, people HIRED these writers knowing what kinds of abilities they have. As long as they did what they were hired and told to do by their superiors, like any other job they deserved to get paid.

@@Dragonkid69 ... no it ain't even about that. It's about workers being fairly compensated and worker solidarity, across all industries. I'm not even affected by this because I'm an author, not an industry writer, but this strike is pivotal in workers' rights across the board.

I wish the other girls had longer arcs like Stella did. It made her Enchantix so satisfying.
Same it would be so interesting to see how Flora interacted on Linphea, and Tecna's experience, as well as Musa's. I would also like to see more of Aisha kind of defending her planet and her and Nabu's relationship build more in-depth as well. Imagine if they all had to go on their own planets to get enchantix as well.
FR!!! Like Musa’s enchantix was SO disappointing and Tecna, Aisha and Flora lacked also kinda lacked with the arc, even though the emotional stakes were higher. but well i guess the run times kinda make it hard to have long arcs for six mhs in the first half of the season …
@@bellsomniaa2026 I was happy to see Linphea, but it was so quick! It would've been fun seeing the Trix establish a base there, with Icy freezing everything and killing the planet slowly, as well as Tecna being under a spell that makes her similar to an actual robot and she must regain her feelings in order to protect her friends. I'd have enjoyed something like Musa going deaf instead of Aisha going blind, since it'd be more meaningful for her and she'd gain her own sense of melody. Aisha and Nabu were so underdeveloped. She could've gained her Enchantix by rescuing Nabu or have her mini-arc being similar to season 5 with Tritannus, but more focused and condensed. Plus the witches could've threatened to make Daphne disappear forever and Bloom saves her--or the destruction of Obsidian happens earlier and Bloom fights Valtor to prevent Domino from being destroyed again.
@@OpticalSorcerer Those ideas are honestly amazing, like Bloom seriously needed an arc to get her enchantix, and saving someone like Daphne would make sense to how she gets her enchantix. I love the idea of the winx having to overcome their weaknesses, like how Musa's fear is essentially a world without music, so it would be interesting to see her try to deal with being deaf. And having Flora save Linphea from dying due to the environment struggling from Icy's elements. The Tecna one is seriously cool though, because of how she used to struggle with expressing her own feelings, kind of like how Zenith is quite cold and futuristic. I just finished rewatching s3 and I did not realize how underdeveloped Nabu and Aisha was only for him to die in the next season. It would be cool for Aisha to save him and learn to deal with her lack of trust.
@@bellsomniaa2026 Thanks! I thought it'd be nice if Daphne and Bloom bond more and Daphne tells her more about Domino. It would've been cool if Icy had made Flora's parents ice statues and she has to sacrifice herself in order to keep Miele from being frozen as well. My idea for Tecna came from one of the dubs saying she was part android, so making that canon and making her lose the humanity that she had would be heartbreaking. And yeah, I'd like to see more of the merpeople in Andros (seeing how underutilized the specialists were, I kinda wish some of them were magical creatures, ie Nabu being a merman prince, but that'd probably be unlikely since Aisha's related to them).
Tecna absolutely carrying our girls in this episode made me so happy, we need this more often cause' writers barely gave her spotlight but when they did, she was talented brilliant amazing show stopping...

The fact that Brandon gift for Stella as proof of "will love forever" is something i found romantic, while the plot of Sky heirloom necklace in season 5 just got on my nerves, is so funny to me
the plus-size fairy scene is actually slightly better than those scenes in the original where stella referred to knut as a lifeboat, a blimp and told some random monster in season 4 it needed to focus on its waistline.
The 2000s/2010s really were something...
As a plus sized woman, some of those were funny, especially the plus sized fairy one. There's a difference between fat jokes and fat shaming, and a fat joke is the reason we have civil rights. Look up 'how human rights were protected by a fat joke'.

In regards to the Enchantix requirements, I read a fanfiction once that talked about how Enchantix was extremely rare because of the requirements so most fairies never achieved it. I actually wish that that was something the show did, because you're right; most people never put themselves in terrible danger for another person.
Did they really have to be put in a TERRIBle danger , they just have to save someone right ? With their powers it should be easy.

@@dalvinalcide455 Oh, no, I'm talking about the show. I just went and rewatched the 4kids dub and the cinelume dub. Faragonda said that it takes great sacrifice to earn enchantix. It's not exactly the same, but it has similar implications.
They should've had Mirta earn her Enchantix saving Lucy in that one episode where they go to Cloud Tower to find out what happened to Faragonda.

Omg that would be a great arc for Mirta, especially because the Trix speak so low of her at the beginning of the episode, calling her a "trans-magic loser". Mirta's Enchantix would be a big slap in their faces.
Ooo, that dialogue about Enchantix being a new requirement this year is such a good line. At first it seems like a simple way to raise tension for the audience, but it also covers potential plot holes from the battle for Alfea by explaining why there weren't any Enchantix fairies there to help.
These are some of my faovrite Srella moments in the series, realizing her friends love her for who she is and not just because of her looks

The rain explanation was great. But it could also be that it never rains on Solaria which changed the entire ecosystem and how their magic natural reacts to a non natural phenomenon
Yeah the goal of earning your enchantix as a 3rd year the writers didn't think through and I agree with Grizelda that it's setting the other fairies up for failure.
I think what they should've done is have Faragonda tell the 3rd-5th year fairies about Enchantix and when it will come to them sometime in their lives, usually after they graduate from Alfea and later in life as adults. But what made the Winx special is they were the youngest fairies to ever reach the Enchantix level alongside them saving the magic dimension from Valtor they graduated and became guardian fairies very early as 3rd years under special circumstances in the first film. It makes more sense

Some childish comedy would also be sweet, like use her styling magic to change the armour into pretty dresses and costumes, that are just that ridiculous that you can barely move, so her enemies fall to the ground tripping on their new stunning looks. That way torturing her friends the same way would make sence, she's practicing on them ^.^

That is not true. Bloom has the power of the Dragon Flame that LITERALLY created all the Universe and THE RULES of the Universe. We forget that because she is not really in tune with her Dragon. That’s why we have episode before where she meets that little dragon and became dragon in the end through her will and struggles, so that she can bend the rules that originated from HER power. There’s a reason why the episode before her Enchantix exists, guys.

@@Superlad945 That’s a good interpretation, but doesn’t include the meaning of the environment she’s in. Bloom has problems with her identity and confidence, that’s for sure. In season 2, her Charmix was connected to her leadership and gaining back confidence. Also, before those moments she needs time alone to sort things out because she doesn’t really know who she is. So, it is definitely valid and in character for her. There’s also the beautiful message there that people tend to overlook. Bloom is willing to compromise and try hard despite the results. She wanted to become a fairy from episode 1 and even though she knew she couldn’t become Enchantix one, she tried hard to just be strong. She even get dirty and train physically. She really deserved it imo.
Now the only problem that I have with your interpretation is that Buggy specifically said to Bloom that she needs to become a DRAGON. If Bloom just tried to uplift herself, Buddy would said that she needs to become A STRONG FAIRY because Bloom knows nothing about the dragons. How would she know how dragons should behave? So yes, Bloom definitely projected some part of Buddy, but there is also a part of him that is manifestation of an environment she is in that shares information with her that she could never know herself. She gained confidence back and connected with dragon inside her for the first time that helped her to get Enchantix. Ofcourse, I love Bloom so I am biased, and we Winx fans really know how to justify everything about series 😂 But I’m glad to here some new opinions about this series 🌸

As far as I'm concerned, the Cineloom/4kids Winx Club and Nickelodeon Winx are two different shows. Nickelodeon remade the whole thing from episode 1 and changed things to make it their own, so why should we have to consider the additions they made canon to the original 3 seasons? Imo it's it's own thing
I have a soft spot for the nick dub since I grew up with it as a kid. Power of fire gives me goosebumps.
Because of the way things were licenced and aired in my country, I didn't get to see Secret of the Lost Kingdom until much, much later, so I remember always feeling kind of confused and a little upset at the way Bloom's Enchantix played out. I kind of assumed she'd get it by saving Mike and Vanessa (again), because the Enchantix recognised her adopted home was as much a part of her as her birth home.
Seeing it now, knowing the full story (and also knowing that 4kids added that Bloom knew she was adopted, and that in the base canon she believed Mike and Vanessa were her birth parents until about halfway through season 1), I can see what they were going for and it's good. But especially since Pyros was kind of a cul-de-sac, I feel like saving someone from Earth would have been a better stopgap to get her limited Enchantix than Pyros was.

Beautiful season commentary, I’ve been looking forward to seeing more season 3 episodes. I have forgotten how ✨iconic✨ the 4kids version was. It’s bringing back so much memories I remember as kid seeing Tecna creating holograms of the Winx in the cave and the giant creepy spiders 🕷 and the leeches and the Trix talking to Valtor/Baltor about Bloom. Oh the nostalgia... the nostalgia hits hard ✨🧚🏻♀️🧚🏽♀️🧚🏼♀️

You know I as a child thought Bloom would earn her Enchantix by saving Valtor. Now hear me out! I love him being a villain and all that but we were told by the show he is a creature created by The Ancestresses with the Dark Dragon Flame to be thier weapon. And well knowing THEM and Darkar its safe the assume they'd make sure they'd have him be loyal and gollow orders under ANY circumstances. So the most logical way is to CONTROL him which was further proven to me when that demon showed itself meaning he is possesed,cause I HIGHLY doubt Valto would want that thing in his body. Not to mention he didn't go after the Winx or Bloom oike the others did,he went after The Company of Light! Like the winx are STILL teenagers and are expected to fught all those powerful entities while the adults and the Company sit aside!?🤷 Yeah nope. Valtor knew who he should he fight and who were his enemies hevk Grigfin betrayed him and all the Company and council decreeeded he be frozen for an enternety. And Enchantix fairy dust can cure almost ALL curses. Why didn't Faragonda or Grisselda cure those cursed? Are you telling me those two, especially Faragonda are not Enchantix fairies? What are the Winx literal teenagers the ONLY now Enchantix fairies?
I hoped he'd be saved,Bloom would get her true Enchantix form and Valtor would become an antihero who is only loyal to Bloom and Domino,I might have also shipped them.👀😅 But seriously their connection should have been more used,even if he was a royal advisor I'd have been(somewhat) satisfied. He'd teach Bloom and her friends and grumble about Alfeas HORRIBLE education system.😂
That was what I as a little girl hiped for. But still LOVE the season. Best season. It had its flaws but those are NOTHING compared to later seasons I do not consider canon.
@gabrijelakelec4361 Wow, that's an interesting thought to hear about Bloom's earning of Enchantix and Valtor being more three dimensional😮❤ Actually, now that I think about it, I too thought about this point of Valtor some time ago: considering that he HATES the Ancessestral witches and his demon form, to me he seems like a person trapped into servitude and whose backstory is yet to be understood. While yes, this doesn't excuse the horrible things he has done in season 3 to everyone, it does make one think, at the end of the day, who is Valtor and is he more than just a symbol of malice like almost all the villains in Winx Club series?
Ah, season 3, where all the Winx mattered and there wasn’t yet “Bloom is the bestest, woho”. Furthermore those two episodes were so epic and full of life and were a such great splendour for the whole season! 💖🙏🏻💖

Imo the nick dub this season was perfect, it may be nostalgia for me but i loved it, they also talked about the dark rain as well ig. I know nick has a reputation for destroying later winx seasons but i really loved their dubbed for season 3 and 4

Also, saying "this happened to me and I don't want it to happen to you" is definitely not making it about yourself imo. It's a really cynical take on that to think otherwise
little thing about the audio book, that would be great, I love reading but I probably have ADHD which makes it really hard for me to read novels (honestly the easiest thing to read is comics I've already read or are from a series I've been reading for awhile now) but having and audio book to listen to and follow along while I read or reenact the scenes like a nerd really help me absorb the story...so yeah audio book of your novel would be awesome.

Great is always ! I forgot we were doing the 4kids dub but it was a nice surprise. This episode was also SUPER funny I laughed out loud multiple times. My favorite joke was the one about Stella earning Sirenix . Also, I'm sorry I know the creatures they fought were called Griffins but now all I can see is the mother Griffin with Miss Griffin's face photoshopped onto it. And lastly, I don't know how many of you will actually know what I'm talking about, but do the ice spirits remind you of the creepy ice spirit and trees from that old animated Christmas movie Santa Claus is coming to town or is it just me?

Another reason why I love Stella and her parents (still is my favorite character by the way). I love how it depicts her parents relationships not only with her but Each other. You can also Get more insight due to their respective powers, Luna is the fairy of the moon her powers are moon based, Where as radius's powers are obviously the sun. 2 entities that far apart from each other and are polar opposites. The sun is depicted as brave, courageous, and light. The moon is night time the time for reflection, peace, solidarity and reflecting on one's negative emotions that Are often not said and hidden with happiness. Again the sun and moon, 2 celestial Bodies that are Opposed too one another and cannot come to an agreement, much like radius and Luna. It's something that i wished thw writers used more, As she is the fairy of the shining sun and moon. While Stella is Very extraverted And shines like the Sun, She is also kind, empathetic and Will be that person Someone can talk to.

I really should check out your book! I'm a sucker for fantasy, the story sounds exciting, I love writing fantasy myself (with way too much anxiety, to the point of hardly ever writing anything down),I really should read more, and the new library that's been built where I live opens tomorrow. In s1-3 they were cute. But it was rainbow that ruined them with the the petty relationship drama. Not only for them but the entire cast. Tecna and Timmy are the only healthy couple left that haven't been touched.

In season 4, Faragonda said the Winx were the youngest fairies to get their enchantix so you're right, it looks like everyone else did fail. Did they have to repeat the year or was that requirement a 4kids change?
Originally the fairies study at Alfea for 5 years. Which makes me believe that it usually took 3 years for a regular student to earn Enchantix. Moreover, given Valtor was out there causing havoc the school was basically on lockdown. So no one other than the winx had the chance to even try to earn Enchantix.
