I take my hats off to Dinesh Kartik. As a recent insider, he has transformed into a wonderful broadcaster who adds a lot of colour and emotion into his views. The visuals attached to this broadcast were special, brought out the emotion of the key players . To me what stood out through the several ( other) shorts we got to see from Axar, SKY, Bumrah and almost all who were interviewed was how “ magnanimous the team was in victory”. Not a single chest thump, not a passing derogatory reference to any other team or members, not calling it as an “avenge”, all hallmark of how a victory should be handled. Salute to the team .

Emotions just pure emotions. I was 9 years old when India lift WC in 2011 but yesterday it feels like I have conquered the world. Thank You Rohit Sharma, Thank You Virat Kohli, Thank You Jasprit Bumrah, Thank You Hardik Pandya, Thank You Team India giving us this beautiful moment to cherish whole our life.

Had India not been in the finals my support would have been fully for South Africa, that's how wonderful a team they are! Tough luck SA, lot's of respect for the team and heart goes out to South African cricketing fans, we Indians' understand very well how it feels to come so close and not get hands on the trophy. Wish you get it ASAP, you deserve it a lot! ✌
Typical of this pathetic nation, soon as we win something everyone lauds it up as the greatest thing they've ever seen. Yes we won the tournament unbeaten, and fair play to the players, but seirously one major ICC trophy in the last 11 years is an utter embarrassment for a country that spends as much on Cricket as India does. Now start dominating the sport like Australia used to otherwise this win like most of the others is just in isolation and means absolutely NOTHING.

First, DK finished his IPL career, and today RO-KO retired from T20. I think the time for me to retire as a fan is approaching too. If RO-KO plays, the 2027 ODI World Cup will be my last match as an audience member.
I don't think Roko will be in 2027 odi worldcup. They would be in early 40s. They will play couple more years for Odi and test and bid adieu.....let them go gracefully guys....I loved Kapil paaji but felt he overstayed and went after selectors prodded him to go. Roko would be around the team in IPL for sure...let youngsters take over.

@@bidhanchandraganthia9351 i too would love to have kohli, but seeing how he was playing the matches, he was looking to go away from the buzz. disinterested look. the final he played as a farewell gift to his fans and team mates. he has acheieved all that is there except the odi world cup. he won in australia, he has won t20 world cup. nothing else there i feel for him to have hunger to play. lets look for the new talent to emulate him. i heard sachin cant be replaced, but we had kohli looking to replace sachin records. so in future you can expect a new guy to replace kohli records. for kohli to wait for three more years is tough as he likes to be a family man

As a cricket fanatic, I'd have been super happy if it is a different opposition. But it turned out to be a mixed emotions at last coz its the Proteas on the other side. Mind goes with home but heart says Proteas. While the tears from one eye drips for my home country, the drops from other eye asks SA Why & When then with so much disappointment and agony.
