No idea who you spoke to, but to claim, that we don't understand English, is a bit exxagerated - most of us speak English, German, French and older generation Russian and since there are about 580.000 Ukrainian refugees, there is a high demand to learn Ukrainian at the moment... You could have encounter persons who don't speak English, but that is a minority...
Maybe it was just coincidence! There was only one restaurant we visited that understood English, everyone else spoke other languages that you mentioned. That’s on us though to learn more of the language of the place we are visiting! We absolutely loved it there and can’t wait to go back. The most beautiful city and beautiful people!
@@KyandTay Well, Czech is considered to be the 2nd hardest language to learn for native English speakers, so good luck with that:).... I personally know an American lady who is living in Prague for 12 years already and still makes so many mistakes, that it's better to communicate in English with her... You must have been very unlucky, as everybody speaks English, at least in the touristy city center.. But Czechs are very shy by nature, it might be that they just don't want to speak as they think their English is not good..
@@viktornovomestsky3999 That makes sense! Everyone was so nice, but I know it can be intimidating when trying to speak a different language. Gosh, it’s such a beautiful language! I’ll just stick to the basic phrases lol. Thank you for your comment!
Omg. I want to travel just so I can eat that amazing food. So pretty.
