♦️Kande Ela Reservoir is situated along the Blackpool-Ambewela-Pattipola-Horton Plain Road in Nuwara Eliya. It is also known as the Meepilimana Reservoir and It is a tranquil lake surrounded by hills from on side and the Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve.
♦️The lake is situated about 10km or 30 minute drive from Nuwara Eliya is an ideal place to spend few hours on a trip to Nuwara Eliya. At seasons there’s boat tour also available

♦️Horton Plains National Park romanized: Hortan Thanna Jathika Udyanaya) is a national park in the central highlands of Sri Lanka that was designated in 1988. It is located at an elevation of 2,100-2,300 m (6,900-7,500 ft) and encompasses montane grassland and cloud forest. It is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. It is also a popular tourist destination and is situated 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Ohiya, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the world-famous Ohiya Gap/Dondra Watch and 32 kilometres (20 mi) from Nuwara Eliya.

♦️Thotupola Kanda, also sometimes referred as the Thotupola Peak or Thotupola Mountain, is the third highest mountain is Sri Lanka situated in Nuwara Eliya district 2,357 m above mean sea level. It is in close proximity to Horton Plains and visited by many enthusiasts and casual hill climbers. Yet this set of pics are not of the peak or the mountain it self, but on the surrounding forest area.

♦️Thotupala Kanda is situated amidst a thick forest reserve that looks breathtakingly mystifying when foggy. While not many gets the opportunity to explore it's beauty in a rainy foggy day, I had my moments. Shooting in a wet condition like this was a challenge but I managed to go half way deep in side the mountain trail and capture these photographs before it got too dark for the lens to handle
