His dribbling became a bit more direct and purposeful as he matured peaking in 2010-11, but this might have been his prime in terms of simply beating players.
@@madra000 "2.5 to 3 world championship" - This is when the World Cup was between 10 teams and they were played by mechanics, farmers and bus drivers. Ha-ha-ha. The only thing Pele does better is advertising condoms.
Incredible season where he had to carry most of the creative burden with Ronaldinho's decline increasing rapidly (in 06/07 he at last still turned up every couple of games) whilst playing in a massively unbalanced side. Messi, Yaya, Abidal and the debuts of Bojan and Giovani (lol) were, from memory, the only bright spots in one of the darkest seasons I have experienced. Embarrassing to look back on the summer of 2007, and all kinds of front pages of the "Fanastic Four" feat. Dinho, Henry, Eto'o and Messi... At the end of the day, only Messi delivered because Dinho was clubbing, Eto'o was dealing with injuries and Henry had problems adapting. Rijkaard was a great coach who has become underrated in Barça's history due to what came (directly) after him, but he should absolutely shoulder part of the blame for how this season spiralled out of control. Man Utd was the best team in Europe and righful winner of the CL, and yet the semi final was quite close, despite how absolutely shit Barça was. Particularly the home game was infuriating, with SAF kind of parking the bus, Barca dominating but completley devoid of confidence to take advantage of Utd playing Barça's reputation rather than the actual team in front of them. If you think 2024 FdJ holds onto the ball too long, you should have seen 07/08 Deco 😅. Who knows what could have happened with a bit more sharpness and discipline 😔 Oh well, can't really complain given what was to come I guess 😅
According to Ronaldo: Messi played for PSG? "Saudi League > Ligue 1" Messi won the World Cup? "The World Cup is worth less than the Euros" Messi has 8 Ballon d'Ors? "The Ballon d'Or is losing credibility

I believe this is the season he had 3 or 4 consecutive games with more than 18 dribbles each game.
The best number 19 in football history.
The best player in football history under any number that he used, and any other numbers.
@noname-zf5tb True 🐐
10 is Pele. 2.5 to 3 world championship. And much better defensive than Messi. Messi is probably a better dribble. But all else is in Pele favor.

Vicious dribbler, nothing wasted, direct, effective, lethal.
1:43 Amazing how he turns that fast free kick execution into a goal.

Good job man, there are clips in these that I haven't seen before.
0:19 No way he just got called the best player in the world at the age of 19
Oh my God hes so good
You could show people this 3:43 camera angle showing just his legs and feet and nothing to identify him and people will still say it's Messi
Show me Ronaldos these type of dribling in 2008
According to Ronaldo:
