I die to much while using this gun because I get to distracted by this so I just don't use it its sad because the gun performs well and its just one of my favorite ww2 guns
@Ice Cube they were instructed to hold it like that but honestly it really doesn't matter outside because of preference I'd say its mainly a way of telling the two apart. but that being said the two (Mp28, 34, all other inter-war smgs and variations in between) were mainly used by military police and the Waffen SS as the Wehrmacht got priority on the Mp 38 and eventually 40.
@@naruto97kyubi they weren't. You always see Allied troops with captured MP28s holding it that way. Every SS or Gestapo troop holding it or shooting it in photos uses the grooves on the wooden handguard.
Love playing with the MP28, just wish it had a little bit more range. I've also gone left side for my specializations, those 20 extra bullets make a huge difference in CQC. Top quality video Kris! Since BF1, I've always clicked immediately on a new KK video notification, and this has not changed. GG
I Just picked up this bad boy during the still and silent campaign in battlefield 5. This gun is very lethal. It can blaze through several soldiers like melted butter. It gives me good confidence in close compat. So far my favorite gun. Just my 2 cents.
I tried both paths (all left, all right perks), I prefer RRRR. Base hype fire is still good as smg and with better precision I'm more effective at distances where improved hype fire isn't enough. Like ever you make interesting video, as habitual BF player I agree with all ur considerations. Well done!
I can understand why you might want to hold it by the magazine, but why is it palm-up instead of palm-down? Wouldn't you have a better grip and control that way?
Me: Hey EA, do you mind adding some more historical SMGs that aren’t side loaded, slow RPM copies of each other? Maybe a PPSH-41 or an M50 Reising? EA: Fuck yourself Me: Understandable, have a nice day
Really? Don’t worry I’m not going to say anything when I don’t know how you’re supposed to properly hold this thing but, I would imagine it would be more comfortable or “proper” to hold it like the MP18 from battlefield 1. Or to hold it like a normal sub compact firearm. But thank you for telling me this, I will look this up on google right now and I’ll respond when I do.
@MrOverCritical1989 hey, I'm not saying it looks good. But many armies trained their soldiers to hold this kind of weapon this way. Apparently it allows for more recoil control
I see the MP28 as some middle ground between the CQC beasts (Suomi, Thompson) and the more versatile weapons and mid-range weapons (MP40, ZH, Sten) in the medic class. The thing that bothers me with the MP28 is its recoil pattern. I play on PS4, and I find the weapon to be too much "bouncy" for its power.
*Stats Changes - Update 6.2:* Min Dmg 12 (4-9 shots), V.Recoil 0.71, H.Recoil Left 0.3 (0.25 with Ported Barrel), H.Recoil Right 0.36 (0.3 with Ported Barrel) [Everything else unchanged]
So it's damage and V. Recoil are nerfed, but it's H. Recoil is buffed. Now, it kicks to the right.
I literally can't get over the fact of how your character is holding the MP28.
The way it was held in BF1 was just perfect and it felt so natural.
The funny thing is if you held it like that in real life BF1 wouldn’t even be realistic.
It's ugly af, hold it like a normal person dammit
at 3:04, he changed the way he put the magazine into the gun because he was prone, attention to detail
No, that's just empty reload motion.

Thats the best way to hold it.. plus your aem is stronge that way.. i know first hand
They were common with groups that might want an smg but weren’t in the standard German military supply chain, mainly police and the SS
i believe for the ss it was because in their earlier days they were starved of supplies by the rival army so they had to use what they could
@@Willing_Herold more because the SS wasn't part of the military supply chain so had to acquire everything through private purchase or surplus

I use right-right-right-left. Works pretty well.
Emma Andersson left-left-left-right for me. It gives most of the Agro buffs but you can dodge fire easier when aiming.
i use l-r-r-r coz its like a trench broom

The MP18s younger, more athletic brother
The way he holds the MP28 is a little unorthodox (holding it by the magwell), at least it's better than holding it by the magazine.
MP28 is my go to medic gun
zk 383 is better imo
Mp34
this gun is absolute versatile one and my main
My fav SMG. I use the 50 round mag - this is a great alternative to the Thompson.
Hey Kris, guys here, looking at another battlefield guide. We're doing good, thanks for asking bro-chacha

The answer is that this is “A” correct way to hold the weapon. But like I said earlier you could also hold this thing like a traditional sub gun.
But thank you for the insight.
