I listened closely and it sounds great, and I' am given the impression that the Theme is a Combination of the Arcade and NES Versions into one for the 1st Mission Stage.
MDthornton83 Dude, this game is my childhood! And you even get to play a ninja!!! Best music in the entire series, best levels and just best all around gameplay! First beat em up I have ever played.
I found DD2 had poop controls, the whole back kick thing, and the controls were a bit glitchy at times, then again same goes for the tornado kick in III seemed to have a mind of it's own, and even then was pretty crap after a while all the AI would just duck under it and smash you to death, Chin was the ultimate DD char in III, one punch combo killed everything.
The only thing good about this worst game is the music. Sadly Double Dragon 3 the Arcade game was a major letdown and disappointment in the franchise mainly the gameplay just didn't deliver with poor clunky controls and very brutal hit detection as you'd be punching and kicking air rather than your opponents. I was fortunate to give this a rent at a local video rental store just to be depressed with this game. Today in retro game shops you could probably get a copy of DD3 for the Sega Genesis complete inbox around roughly 15 to 20 bucks.
