Lucas he came out beautiful! I have only been carving a couple of years and haven’t tried bark but after watching Alec LaCasse, Doug Linker and yourself I really want to try it. Cottonwood looks like the best to work with and it’s not that available in Maine so I have been practicing faces on so I have it down a little more when I get Some good bark. It’s not like messing up a piece of basswood that I could throw away if I mess up bad. I’ll get there. Anyway really enjoy your videos, I am not the caliber of you guys but I get a lot of enjoyment out of working with wood. 👍👍👍👍

Thank you Larry! So glad you’re enjoying the videos. Bark is definitely an amazing and unique material to work with. I hope you can find some good stuff. Keep at it! Cheers :)

That’s so awesome, Lucas! If you don’t mind me asking…what kind of polish are you using with the toothbrush & what’s the process of it? I always wonder how you get the smooth polished look one your pieces.

Thanks brother! It's a Minwax paste wax. I brush it on and let it set about 15 mins then it buffs up nicely :)

@@lucaskostwoodcarving Thanks very much, my friend! I have some of that wax, I just never thought to use it on cottonwood bark. Gotta try it out now! I always enjoy your work!
