CLEARLY Pompom’s trying to slowly poison Kyle. She was worried he’d done something to you when you were missing for so long so she decided to try her hand at being Sherb. You can tell she’s not his friend, she didn’t even buy him a meal or make him something, she just reheated Pierce’s half-eaten burrito!!!
I just love how Goose clearly put so much thought into his outfit before visiting Ken. The polo, which is literally his best shirt because he's mentally 12, the cap and then the GLASSES. 😂 this is too good

My theory about Pompom and Kyle's "lunch" is that Kyle is clearly in a downward spiral. Like he's been acting loopy and a little erratic, pretending like he did nothing wrong because he can't handle the fact that he ruined the best thing that ever happened to him. So Pompom, in her graciousness, threw some microwaved burritos in some tupperware and went to check on him (as the wife of his best friend and also to get the dirt on what's going on to spill to you later if you wanted). She even made SURE to mention that it was microwaved burritos in front of you to make it clear that they did NOT go out to some cute lunch.

My theory is that Pompom was over at Pierce's place to cook lunch for him and he had Kyle over ('cause guys never take sides especially in breakups); so Pompom was forced to be civil because of her man. And when you walked by, Kyle made sure to mention lunch really loudly in front of you because he's salty that you already moved on from him. This was all a very calculated ploy by Kyle!
And she gave him a leftover burrito to try and give Kyle the sh1ts and that’s why she was surprised when he said it was good. She was trying to get him sick!

Sherb said that Ankha was planning something, so Sherb might've been in on the plan or at least interested in why Renee was there. He was probably creeping in the window to make sure nothing happened.

My thought was that Kyle was being pushy trying to get close to Pompom, so she relented and gave him crappy microwaved burritos. Then he tries to play it up in front of you to either try to hurt you or get on your good side. Pompom is also acting nice about it just because shes just too nice. I’ll be honest thought I don’t know these characters as well as you do, so I could be totally off base.
Pompom is a total airhead most of the time but she's trying her best. She's gotta take care of that big lug of hers (Pierce), so she's often sidetracked.

17:58 I think that Pom Pom is finding herself in kind of a hard spot with Kyle, where she wants to support you, but Kyle is also one of Pierce's few friends. I've been saying that Shino was doing some straight up magic on Kyle that day JUST to spite you. I think Pom Pom knows that too and is hoping that this can be worked out between you two and you're both able to at least be friendly. It was such a wild rollercoaster of a breakup that literally sent the whole island reeling, and Pom is trying to mediate but is kind of failing and is probably beating herself up over it. She can't find herself to ask Pierce to stop talking to a friend because she doesn't want him to isolate himself, but she knows that involves being civil with him which you aren't going to like.
Maybe Kyle is producing a movie like he asked goose to be a star in and the Pom Pom heard the news and is trying to get on Kyle’s good side to be the main star in his movie. She is a peppy after all 😅

My theory is that while you were gone the whole town got together and made it their goal to get you and Kyle back together. I think it was decided that you two are meant to be and they have to do something about it. So Pompom made him lunch so they could scheme together (Pierce was probably there too) and Kyle brought it up and almost spoiled everything. I think everyone's being nice to Kyle because they want him to win you back (except for Ankha). Sherb probably hoped that by stalking Ankha she'd get freaked out and move away so she wouldn't interfere

He showed up to her house drunk in the afternoon begging for her to help him get you back or something and Pom Pom was just annoyed and trying to be civil and just heated up a leftover burrito for him to sober up and leave her alone OR 2. She liked you and Kyle together and is unsure of Ankha so she’s plotting with Kyle to try to get you back together. I think it’s most likely the first thing tho bc of the microwaved burrito lol. Plus, Kyle mentioned the lunch in front of you to shake you up and cause problems, if they had been plotting he wouldn’t have mentioned it.
