One of my favourite settings for Canticle 2. Calvary Methodist Church, Adabraka, Accra (Ghana) usually chant it at the stroke of midnight every New Year. It's so surreal.
I love chanting the psalm chapter in the Bible the Anglican Communion has taught us to do so. Wonderful way of Singing and praising Our Almighty God And His Son Jesus Christ. The lord is gracious and his mercies endures forever
Like you, I can’t get enough of this! I came home from church one Sunday and began singing out loud the Te Deum and other praises to the Almighty God. My daughter suddenly said, “mom, I smell incense”! I believe God was present and among us that day! I will always praise Him!
Congratulations on this excellent rendition ! Here in the US, we used to have High Anglican churches which used good traditional music such as this chant. Thank you for letting me hear it again. God bless you and the good folk of your parish. Liked, Suscribed. ☺
Good Anglican chant is rare nowadays in England also. I'm lucky that in our little village church we still sing the Gloria, Sanctus and Kyrie with organ accompaniment.

The ancient Catholic hymn, “Te Deum laudamus,” (meaning from the Latin: “O God, We Praise Thee.”) is a thanksgiving hymn to Almighty God, and was written, according to Tradition, by St. Ambrose of Milan, a Latin Church Father, Doctor of the Church, and the mentor of St. Augustine of Hippo, which Ambrose sung during Augustine’s baptism. This famous hymn is used by the Catholic Church during all Sundays outside of Advent, Lent, Septuagesima, and Passiontide; on all feasts (for the exception of the Triduum), and on all feria days during the Easter season in the Roman Breviary. The Ambrosian hymn, another name for it, is also sung by the faithful on the last day of the year. Holy Mother Church grants a plenary indulgence to those who sing it publicly. Here’s a English translation from the Latin: WE praise Thee, O God; we acknowledge Thee to be Our Lord. Thee, the Father everlasting, all the earth doth worship. To Thee all Angels; to Thee the Heavens and all the powers. To Thee the Cherubim and Seraphim continually cry: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of the majesty of Thy glory. The glorious choir of the Apostles praises Thee. The admirable company of Prophets praises Thee. The White-robed army of the Martyrs praises Thee. Thee, the holy Church throughout the world doth confess: The Father of infinite majesty; Thine adorable, true, and only Son; Also, the Holy Ghost, the Comforter. Thou, O Christ, art the King of glory. Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father. Thou, having taken upon Thee to deliver man, didst not disdain the Virgin's womb. Thou, having overcome the sting of death, hast opened to believers the Kingdom of Heaven. Thou sittest at the right hand of God, in the glory of the Father. Thou, we believe, art the judge to come. We beseech Thee, therefore, to help Thy servants, whom Thou hast redeemed with Thy Precious Blood. Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints in glory everlasting. O Lord save Thy people and bless Thine inheritance. And govern them, and exalt them forever. Day by day we bless Thee. And we praise Thy name forever; yea, forever and ever. Vouchsafe, O Lord, this day, to keep us from sin. Have mercy on us. O Lord, have mercy on us. Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we have trusted in Thee. In Thee, O Lord, have I trusted; let me not be confounded forever. Blessed art thou, O Lord, the God of our Fathers. And worthy to be praised and glorified forever. Let us bless the Father and the Son, with the Holy Ghost. Let us praise and magnify Him forever.

Cant hear the singing because of the organ foreground noise!!
Please whats the name of this tune? Quite popular in Anglican church and reminds of my childhood.
Great song, ageless
The congregation are dragging... Couldn't they get a bit more movement into it??
I agree but it's still beautiful. Perhaps it's a large building hence the slower tempo
A bit on the older side of congregants. Would increase the pace as much as we can most times.
Bravo Maestro!!!
