As long as European's are involved in every facet of life in Africa, African's will never be free, always have African leaders selling out to European companies and there government's and the people always suffer as a result, all this video is showing us it's that it is a clean version of European corruption.

All that ''show of affection'' is because they're terrified that the Chinese will come with better offers like training, building infrastructures etc... Europeans would NEVER behave this way towards Africans if they're weren't afraid of Chinese interference/competition.

I am so disappointed. If our people's aspirations is merely to have a job that you keep until you are 60, then we expect too little from ourselves. From the politicians to the workers , I realized our aspirations and expectations of ourselves are so low. How can the president just be satisfied with the Almod CEO statement of Tate Silas and meme being partners in the organization, 2 people? How can he be satisfied with skills transfers only, where else will our people go and use those skills besides being slaves to help the white men make millions of dollars from our resources, if we are not using these so called investors to leverage a ground for ourselves in the long run ? And the white communication lady, when you teach someone how to fish, where would our black people be able to use those polishing skills ever again? Unless if we Namibians take over ownership of our natural resources of course. But by hearing everyone of the politician speak in here, I am not surprised we have no long-term agenda for ourselves. That we are satisfied giving away our resources away for cheap. I am tired of hearing about jobs these, skills transfers this and jobs this. We gotta have a long-term vision and agenda beyond that dammit! Is out future generations going to eat those goddamit skills? We need a long term-agenda for managing and full control of our own resources as Africans. You can tell the workers are coached and almost brainwashed to be able to say everything positive about this bunch of thieves, and even if they are not, the position they are in makes them inevitable to speak ill of the hand that feeds them. It saddens me that the black Almods workers in the documentary are almost clown-like, shimmeying and cooning etc :( . And look at that white ma's face... straight all throughout and he is clearly set up to impress the president.

I am glad they talk about the income inequality although the documentary should go further in depth. I am a (black) East African. I believe the native Namibians should be given a fair share of the Diamond industry income, but I also do not think the Westerners should be chased away. The government of Namibia should do all it can to strike a balance, where everyone gets a fair share of the pie. If they do nothing, things are going to get out of control and Namibia is going to end up like South Africa or even worse
