I converted 12 years ago. After Mikweh I went to Kotel to pray… I was first time in Israel and the first time at Kotel! All I could pray was „thank you HaShem for bringing me back“. .. over and over.. I didn’t know why I was saying that over and over.. 1000 times.. tears ran down my face .. I never felt this way before.. this moment I felt the Sechina.. pure love.. indescribable .. I knew I came home!

I'm new to this channel and would like to know more about the speaker Ollie. My Mom converted to Judaism in her teens, married my Jewish father and she chose to send us to an Orthodox Hebrew school. Because of her accent (they thought she was Sephardic which she was not) we were at first accepted until they found out she was Puerto Rican & then we were treated horribly. I'd love to hear more on this subject as well as questions in the comments about patrilineal Jews. Thank you for this wonderful short! 💙

Thank You so much Oliver.....and I couldn't agree more there's no choice being who one truly is..... personally I never even thought of making a choice of converting to Judaism...... it's an awareness and awakening at a certain point in one's life where from that point onwards one can't go back to being a non Jew any more, honestly it's an unexplainable state, where the convert doesnt even understand himself/herself that they have always been a Jew or it's just a new thing. Thank you once again for putting forth a sensitive and sensible message across.

What about patrilineal Jews who have half Jewish tribe DNA, like Ashkenazi, etc , but were not brought up in the religion? When I meet people who are antisemitic, I have been called slurs like Jewess and while the word itself isn't a bad word, it can seem like a slur depending on how people are saying it. Because most sects of Judaism don't accept Patrilineal Jews aside from Reform, I as well as other Patrilineal Jews feel like outsiders.

The name "Jewish" means "to praise God, or to worship God", so if the person who is Jewish doesnt even care about God, they are not even Jewish according to Gods own standards. Thats why the pharisees said to Jesus that they were sons of Abraham, and Jesus told them that God cold make these very stones sons of Abraham. The gentiles are the wild olive branches that were grafted into the tree, and the trees original branches were brokien off to make space for them, because those branches did not acknowledge and obey God. Because those original branches did not recognize the day of their visitation when Jesus came. So yes, we ARE grafted into the tree, and God does not distinguish up differently except for one way. Those who accept and believe in Yeshua, and those who dont.

As much as I like your videos, you are wrong here. This is why: People who adopt the Jewish religion have made a choice, irrespective of the pressures/feelings on them. They have chosen to be Jewish by religion. Those born Jewish, as a race, are Jews from birth. Do not conflate the race with the religion. The race and religion are joined when one is born Jewish, but to become a follower of the Torah (if you would only follow all 66 books of the bible!) is a choice.

My mother didn't know. We were raised as Catholics. She was always drawn to sit outside the synagogue to listen to the cantors. I've always had a familial feeling toward the Jews. Now I've found that my paternal grandmother had a Jewish line. I am no longer Catholic but I'm not Jewish either by religion. So am I a Jew? Did the paternal lines erase my DNA? If you have ANY Jewish blood you are a Jewish descendant as the life is in the blood. HOWEVER if you reject God’s covenant and reject the king of king, the king of Israel Jesus Christ then you will be rejected out of Israel and thrown into the lake of fire. If you don’t turn from your evil ways and don’t stop worshipping false gods whilst all the time saying you worship God but don’t, you will be rejected. Anyone can become part of Israel meaning they can become part of the Jewish family. The world can do this by way of Jesus Christ. But make no mistake the majority of the world who believe they are on the right path by depending on the nail in Jesus cross are sadly mistaken. They too will be destroyed and we are talking billions not thousands or millions but BILLIONS! I.e Many will go into destructive via the easy broad and wide path but only Few ever go down the narrow hard path into salvation. There are close to about 100 - 1000 true to Jesus today who obey the Ten Commandments and live by every word of God. Sadly the 2,604,000,000+ hypocrites do not obey God and make excuses to live a worldly immoral life. They can fool anyone in the world but they can’t fool God. Therefor I say it again! Regardless if you are “Jew” Christian” or pagan. Turn from your evil ways, repent on your sins and obey the Ten Commandments which was a command and instruction from Jesus and live by every word of God especially taught by Jesus himself. Only by taking up your own cross will you have salvation.

Converts are fine. Only, for me, they just don't have that "Jewish feel," that schmaltz. Being Jewish has been confirmed to be a ethnic identity as well as a religious one. Jews are a race of people called Hebrews with a culture, a language and a homeland as well as their own religion. However, there is always also the possibility that a convert is drawn to Judaism, because they were Jewish in a past life and long for it again. This may give them that "Jewish feel." I'm not saying converts should be discriminated against, just that they will not ever be Hebrews. So yes, you can convert to Judaism, but your blood is not of the Hebrew tribes. And that's the truth.
