Belated thanks for an excellent review. I thought I'd got Italian pens out of my system but the new Zero from Goldspot has caught my eye. So I thought I'd research their nibs, which I believe are Jowo, tuned in house?, as previous Italian nibs have been variable to say the least. These seem to be on the finer side, which suits me, as some medium and broads are like magic markers. Venice is special to me so I noticed the Murano. If they ever bring out a Torcello, the loveliest lagoon island IMHO, I probably won't be able to help myself, though resin has to be pretty special, by which I mean subtle and not gaudy, to please me.
Thanks for your note Ronald. I was really pleased with how all these steel nibs performed and I've had my eye on the Zero for a while (but not saved enough pocket money yet lol!). If I did go Zero, I'd be tempted to go with the 14k nib options as I have a medium 14k in my treasured Monte Grappa and its lovely! You're right. Personalised/branded Jowo nibs are their stock offering although they tune and test in the factory. I think Montegrappa do have aspirations to produce their own nibs eventually too. Venice is a special place for us too and Bassano del Grappa (Montegrappa's home) is not many miles away! Cheers Peter J.
Thank You for the informative video, i was looking for a direct comparison between the nib lines, i am going for the copper mule with Broad Nib AFTER getting it tested and maybe adjusted to be on the wetter side. Cheers.
Thanks for the video, very useful! I hope are coming more videos, I like your format of review! Greetings
My pleasure and thanks for your acknowledgement. I'll be looking to create something new soon . . . Cheers Peter J.
