I disagree, I think her music is very mainstream, but on the upper end of mainstream. "I Don't Like You," and "Waste My Time" are straight up as mainstream as you can ger, but they are above and beyond good. they are not generic, and they are so much better than anything on the radio! Grace writes the best music I have ever heard and gives me hope that mainstream can be great again! Other than that, you are correct!

I think I meant to be replying to chunky baby's post.
I'm exaggerating to say there is 0% melody. However, the melody is very repetitive, and there's a lot chanting like you get in Rap which I confess absolutely loathe. This is jerky, and lacks any flow. I don't enjoy her voice either.
However, she gives pleasure to a lot of people. I've not listened properly to her lyrics, because don't enjoy her melodies, such as they are, or her voice. Perhaps her lyrics are very good, but I canna comment on them.
I listened to a couple of her tracks because people were likening Haley Reinhart's voice to Grace's. Occasionally Haley goes gravelly and growls, and I can understand why people make the comparison, but overall they're hugely different. Haley can, and does, many more things with her voice than Grace. A listen to Haley's version of Creep with Postmodern Jukebox will show that. I don't see Grace in that league. However, there are very few other singers who are anyway.

With the combination of Grace's always magical voice, her wonderful lyrics and melody, and this first rate video, one would hope for this to be a major success with plenty of airplay. And yet I have never once heard it outside of my own searches online. In four and a half years this has been viewed on RUclips over 30 million times. Which is nothing to sneeze at. But it is less than one tenth the views that it deserves.

Today I've learnt that there really is so much more than this. I'm 15, yesterday a girl my age, from my town, died, after she had been hit by a car while crossing the road. I did not know her, I mean, I had seen her a few times every week on the bus. And now I will never see her again.
I think everyone needs to realise that life is just a beautiful gift we received, and it can be taken away in every moment, no matter where we live, how old we are, how much money we have, there will be that point when you'll just wish you have given and received all the love you could possibly give and get.
Her parents chose to donate her organs, so other people will be able to survive and live a happy life.
And even if this has happened in this small town in the north of Italy where I live in, I hope this message will be spread as much as it can and always be kept in our minds and hearts. Thank you for reading this.
