Are you stupid? Why would they intentionally make mistakes on Trainer's Choices? It's not Ash. The creator of the anime planned everything to be right. Not just an unfully experienced Trainer giving garbage out. It makes no sense AT ALL to your statement
The lore means nothing to the Creators, during this time The Creators didn't think of putting another type such as Fairy. Arcanine has bite and that's a dark move. Thanks to that, I spent a long time trying to figure out how to evolve arbok and since I never saw the episode Jessie catches seviper, guess where my 10 year old self thought seviper came from?
11:12 By "strong against it's own type", they probably meant _one_ of the two types, not just that their primary type is or isn't strong against the secondary type. Like, Dragon is strong against Dragon, but Rock isn't strong again Rock and Ground isn't strong against Ground. They could've phrased it a little better, but this one seemed a little _too_ much like a close call to warrant being considered a mistake.
“broken on involved engines in my breast” “okay if you chose Harbaugh you are wrong” Yes that is literally what the auto generated English subtitles said 🤣
This is the reason where the final nail to coffin was their rights of Pokemon...then 4Kids spawning countless godawfully butchered dubs from best animes.
I remember when was smaller I knew already the type advantages after playing pokemon Crystal ,Yellow and Leaf Green. So it really shocked me when I saw that my answer were incorrect lol and the Seviper one made my eye twitch from annoyans since that made me understand that these trainer choices were incorrect. Of course then i thought"Oooh since Ash is talking maybe its how HIS mind works! That explains a lot!" lmao
5:35 This makes me think maybe they planned to make Arbok evolve into Seviper, but they changed their mind and forgot to remove this part? Just a thought that crossed my mind.
Not even, 4kids the guys who made these little quizes have no affiliation to Gamefreak. All they did was dub the anime. Now if these little quizes were made by The Pokemon Company or Gamefreak then I could see an argument to be made for what you said. But 4kids which made the segments did nothing other than dub shows. And quite terribly at that where they'd just straight up edit out shit they didn't like from shows.
I like how he didn't even mention that they called Sealeo "Nuzleaf", like they did with Beautifly. Either he didn't notice or he'd had nearly enough by that point.
2:02 is not a mistake just because both of them are super affective against manetric it doesn't mean it's wrong because you can't choose both of them so I guess that counts?
It seems like 4Kids had a serious grudge against poor Flaaffy. Also, 4Kids must have been under the impression that Kirlia is a grass type (because *green=grass, like obviously!)* This is the same company that caused many 90's kids to believe rock types are *immune* to electric attacks. On the topic of basic editing & proofreading, not only was Flaaffy's name misspelled *every time it appears,* they spelled Forretress as "Foretress" at least once and they had the habit of using Nuzleaf's name for other Pokémon. Thankfully, the latter was was only Beautifly & Sealeo because a third “Nuzleaf” mistake would have me questioning the editors & proofreaders. Given all the mistakes 4Kids made regarding species types (such as Nidoqueen being called a water type in the first movie, because *blue=water)* and type matchups (especially in these God-awful Trainer's Choice segments) sometimes I wonder if 4Kids even knew the first thing about Pokémon? This goes to show, if you don't know much about your source material, the least you can do is a little research. A quick search on Bulbapedia says it all (from their 4Kids page,) "Frequent move errors, type matchup errors, and most infamously, poor quality in the Pokémon Trainer's Choice segments have led fans to believe 4Kids had *very little knowledge* or interest in the Pokémon franchise as a whole."
For the Arcanine v Kirlia thing, I think it's because the dog can learn Dark type moves, whereas Kirlia cannot learn anything super effective against fire (I think). The question presented was "who would have the advantage?"
Excerpt from “Ashes of the Past”, Chapter 87: _Max watched as the examiner went though the cards, occasionally dropping one on the floor with a muttered comment. "The heck? Seviper doesn't evolve from anything..."_ _”Should I be worried?” he asked._ _”Oh, don't worry, we're still using these ones," the examiner said with a shrug. "I'm just going to write down all the ways an eight year old is smarter than the question setters..."_
Arcanine vs Kirlia = neutral advantage on types, but, since Arcanince is a final evolution, it has the advantage. :) PS: You posted this video on my birthday (13/01)! :D
About the Arbok/Seviper error, the most likely reason for why they made this error is because Jessie obtained Seviper very shortly after she released Arbok so someone who didn’t see either the episodes of Arbok’s release or Seviper’s capture and has little to no knowledge of the games (which, tbh, appears to be the case of the producers of the anime at this time) could easily have made this mistake. Another thing is that technically, it’s Ash who is the narrator so in-universe, it could be a headcanon that these mistakes are because of ones that Ash himself made. And as for the Arbok/Seviper error, I can easily picture him making this error since he didn’t see either Arbok’s release nor Seviper’s capture, and those two events happened only two episodes apart, so he could have incorrectly assumed that Seviper evolved from Arbok.
Hey, just wondering something. Maybe originally Arbok was suppose to evolve into Seviper like how Torkoal was supposed to evolve from Magcargo, or even be a branch evolution, but they cancelled it at the last minute like they did in gen 1 with some pokemon and instead they put it as an stand-alone pokemon.

Ah man I love Nuzleaf, I like his transform ability.
I notice something all the correct choice are usually in the middle WHAT DO 4KID THINK WERE STUPID?!
Well yeah. They did try to tell us that Arbok evolved into Seviper.
I KNOW
Even me with 10 years knew Seviper is a stage only pokemon
7:45 did bro seriously not notice that seleo was titled “nuzleaf” too?
If spheal gets freeze dry it actually would be the best choice against wooper as it is 4x super effective.
Freeze-dry didn't exist at the time
I'm starting to think that nuzleaf was the placeholder name xd
Charmanders are red,
Squirtles are blue,
If you were a Pokemon,
I'd choose you!
Awww. Bed?
Piggy GamerYT I am a pokemon!

The plural of Charmander and Squirtle is Charmander and Squirtle. Plus Charmander are orange.
Piggy GamerYT also bulbasaurs are green
9:21 Swinub is the best choice to battle Flaaffy because Flaaffy is weak to Ground-types.
Hahaha, I looked this up because I thought I had noticed some errors, but then the Seviper/ Arbok one caught my eye. Thank you for doing these!!!
Ash says arbok evolves to seviper
ash is stupid.
Maybe originally Arbok was suppose to evolve to Seviper like how Torkoal was supposed to evolve from Magcargo but instead they put it as an stand-alone pokemon.
Oh my god,I hate now
Who sees why Ash lost the pokemon league now?
Thanks to that, I spent a long time trying to figure out how to evolve arbok and since I never saw the episode Jessie catches seviper, guess where my 10 year old self thought seviper came from?
2:11 when that larivitar spoke my heart died from to much cuteness
Darth Charizard Is that Yoshiki Kishinuma as your profile picture? :P
4kids should have investigate more about Pokemon type. It wasn't correct to confuse the trainers who played Pokemon at that time.
At 9:45 I was like "Please don't say Mudkip" and then I was like "crud"
At 12:22 since arcanine learns bite, a dark type move, yes, it would be super effective
BUT based on raw typings alone they are neutral
7:59
Nobody's gonna talk about how Sealeo is literally called Nuzleaf
Did nohody else notice the captions at 5:30? LOL
“broken on involved engines in my breast”
“okay if you chose Harbaugh you are wrong”
Yes that is literally what the auto generated English subtitles said 🤣
I swear I have a cousin who used this to try and beat me in Link battles. He was confused why he kept losing
This is the reason where the final nail to coffin was their rights of Pokemon...then 4Kids spawning countless godawfully butchered dubs from best animes.
#91 if Arcanine uses Bite or Crunch, it actually would have the advantage over Psychic-Types.
That and Arcanine just overall stronger anyway so...
Rocky Lincourt Except those arr about type match ups
This only counts for their types, not moves.
That explains a lot!"
lmao
I love that you ignored Sealeo being called Nuzleaf at 7:47
I saw that too lmao
5:35 This makes me think maybe they planned to make Arbok evolve into Seviper, but they changed their mind and forgot to remove this part? Just a thought that crossed my mind.
Not even, 4kids the guys who made these little quizes have no affiliation to Gamefreak. All they did was dub the anime.
Now if these little quizes were made by The Pokemon Company or Gamefreak then I could see an argument to be made for what you said. But 4kids which made the segments did nothing other than dub shows. And quite terribly at that where they'd just straight up edit out shit they didn't like from shows.
@@Seawolf.Gaming Ohh I see.
This made me believe that psychic was weak to fire for years
2:45
But, Spheal is also part Ice-type, so it has an advantage against Wooper's Ground-type.
AnimeboyIanpower water resists ice, so it's neutral.
Keep in mind, This is Ash giving the answers.
4:50 had me dying lmao
"Thats not nuzleaf"
I like how he didn't even mention that they called Sealeo "Nuzleaf", like they did with Beautifly. Either he didn't notice or he'd had nearly enough by that point.
It's overshadowed by Flaaffy
Sorry, I meant to Flaafy
They made intentional bluffs during the dub.
7:40 The makers of pokemon must love nuzleaf
For the Arcanine v Kirlia thing, I think it's because the dog can learn Dark type moves, whereas Kirlia cannot learn anything super effective against fire (I think).
The question presented was "who would have the advantage?"
It could also be base stat totals.
how did he not notice sealio being called nuzleaf
Excerpt from “Ashes of the Past”, Chapter 87:
_Max watched as the examiner went though the cards, occasionally dropping one on the floor with a muttered comment. "The heck? Seviper doesn't evolve from anything..."_
_”Should I be worried?” he asked._
_”Oh, don't worry, we're still using these ones," the examiner said with a shrug. "I'm just going to write down all the ways an eight year old is smarter than the question setters..."_
Arcanine vs Kirlia = neutral advantage on types, but, since Arcanince is a final evolution, it has the advantage. :)
PS: You posted this video on my birthday (13/01)! :D
Aye u share the same birthday has my friend
5:00 and 7:58 I never knew nuzleaf can have so many different versions
I'm going to nickname my Sealeo "Nuzleaf" now
Behold: The only trivia where you need to be stupid to get it right
About the Arbok/Seviper error, the most likely reason for why they made this error is because Jessie obtained Seviper very shortly after she released Arbok so someone who didn’t see either the episodes of Arbok’s release or Seviper’s capture and has little to no knowledge of the games (which, tbh, appears to be the case of the producers of the anime at this time) could easily have made this mistake.
7:45 u forgot that they put sealeo as nuzleaf again
7:55 also sealeo is not nuzleaf
you forgot something, ash is the one asking
XD True dat
4kids make ash stupid
Hey, just wondering something. Maybe originally Arbok was suppose to evolve into Seviper like how Torkoal was supposed to evolve from Magcargo, or even be a branch evolution, but they cancelled it at the last minute like they did in gen 1 with some pokemon and instead they put it as an stand-alone pokemon.
This was honestly the best vid I have watched in a while
