@@OktayKus1993 Malekith lost to Tyrion when he was the Avatar of Khaine, so he was fighting rather Khaine than Tyrion and Teclis was actually losing that duel so he had to use his OP staff from Lileath. But I agree that Archaon should win. In fact, Archaon should defeat all LL even Grimgor the Gary Stu.
@@hlb99 Loremaster is completely making up Malekiths combat prowess. Malekith is a decent duelist, but he is no match for expert melee combatants like Archaon, Tyrion, Grimgor, etc, and his only saving grace is Destroyer, which is completely countered by Archaons superior duelist ability and the Eye of Sheerian. So Malekith could try all he wants to strike Archaon, but it wouldn't get him anywhere and all Archaon needs to do is get one good hit with the Slayer of Kings and the Witch King would be Slain.

Devil's Advocate: Luthor's unpredictable personality swings are framed as a weakness, but they could instead play to his advantage. The position, as I understand it, is that Manfred pulls ahead because of his talent for plotting, scheming, and assorted skullduggery. For such to work, Manfred has to be able to plausibly predict the behaviour of his rivals. This can't be done with any measure of safety against the likes of Luthor Harkon. An otherwise well-laid trap could fail for no other reason than because the Harkon that got knocked down was not the Harkon that stood up.
The problem here is that Luthor's...unhelpful personalities are adverse at best and downright non functioning retards at worst. He really needs a competent one to pull off a win.
The ultimate three-way match: Belegar vs Queek vs Skarsnik.
I can't really see poor old Skarsnik win that one... Belegar and Queek are both very skilled fighters that could probably take on Skarsnik and Gobbla at any given time (to be fair, Belegar has been eaten a few times by Gobbla iirc but it doesn't appear to have done a lot of harm to him). The only way Skarsnik could win would be by stepping back and have the Dwarf and the Rat take it out on each other and then come in to try and clean up whoever has won the fight...

Belegar wins, dwarfs are much stronger and skilled than goblins and skavens.

You guys should do some super similar matchups like wizard vs wizard ie. Teclis vs kemler, monster vs monster ie. Durthu vs kholek, assassin vs assassin ie. Tweek vs Crone Hellebron? And maybe for fun stuff do like wizards fight without magic or all melee lords of normal size fistfight with no items or magic in like a big tavern brawl! Anyway really enjoyed this I always loved the lore and think this stuff helps add so much more to the game when you know lots of character interactions and who they do know or hate or are friends with in the lore!
Finally the recognition Grimgor deserves , cool series would also like to see Gor-Rok vs Grimgor
Absolutly loved it! Really good idea! Quick suggestions: mention some of the characters feats in the lore, and have the characters fighting a custom battle in total war Warhammer in the background, instead of the static images

Awesome content, lucky I'm subscribed to both :) In terms of lore I think there is one more thing to considered between Tyrone and Grimgore,
Tyrone has crazy high weapon skill in lore, and yes the axe helps grimgore out, but not sure enough to go past tyrones WS. also the match ups in lore, Tyrone has had much harder skill based match ups where Grimgore has had more strength and toughness vs strength and toughness. Not sure if it would change the results, but worth considering
Please make another video like this featuring other lords, it's just so interesting listening how such powerful being would beat each other to death. Other matches I'd like to hear are like: Wulfrik vs kroq'gar, or Queek Headtaker vs Lorkir Fellheart
'd love to also see a duel in-game too!

I would like to see a dual of physical opposites, jet similar fighting specialisations:

Gotrek, obviously! But since he isnt a LL im gonna say Grimgor. Orks is made for fightin, its the culmination of their being. You could boil their entire race down to "fighting" as a concept. I dont care that he hasnt trained for a thousand years, he probably has more combat experience than any pointy eared elf because not a day goes by that he aint fighting or thinking about fighting. While those pointy eared princesses learn how to hold tea cups and sort silverware, Grimgors fighting, while they learn about banal bureaucracy, Grimgor is fightin, while elves are admiring themselves in the mirror (which is an easy 6-8 hours a day) GRIMGOR IS FIGHTIN. Plus, he wants it more. Fighting is his passion. Besides, Orks cant lose, if he dies he died fightin so he wins. They are super one dimensional while every other race has a bunch of boring other things to do, so when you step into the ring against Grimgor you are in HIS DIMENSION.

@@ezequielalmada197 i cant kind of smell upcoming elf BS though. GW has a fetish for elves and CA has it too. Because being frail and good at magic/archery somehow makes you the best warriors at the same time. Bunch of ass.
@@Dwarfurious I think most gitz have a fetish for the pointy ears, frankly, especially the HE and DE.
The good ones are the Wood elves and they keep to their stuff and protect it fiercely, they don't think they rule the bloody world.
About magic and style of fighting, I'm very much an orc/dwarf. Give me my infantry, choppas and iron shields, holding grudges and WAAAAAAGHHH!!! and I'm good.
That's where fights are decided, not with some magic tricks like pointy eared fags.

I'm really liking this series
I am absolutely loving this folks, I would love to see the classic Krok'gar versus Kholek Suneater, Thorgrim Grudgebearer versus Sigvald the Magnificent, Karl Franz versus Azhag the Slaughterer. My reasons: Kaiju Batle, Battle of the Golden Bastards and then Flying People with big weapons
I feel bad for Kroq-Gar... Kholek is about as invincible as it gets in the lore (it took Settra and three days of continuous fighting to actually kill him and Settra is basically a god).

You guys should have some cinematic shots of the characters fighting in total war while you describe their characteristics. Also I would love to see who you think would win between Greasus Goldtooth and High King Thorgrim, as they both are carried into battle.

Durthu vs Orion? Durthu doesnt have the love he deserves - but he will lose to world beaters like Settra and Karl, Kholek or even white dwarf.
Khemler vs Teclis would be nice too, as they both only mainly magic users, and have ways to beat other magic users.
Khemler v Teclis is a very bad mismatch.
Khemler is stark raving mad, is weaker then Teclis in both magic and physical combat.
I think the following match ups would be really interesting to see:

Kroq Gar vs Kholek
Aenarion vs Sigmar
Queek vs Wulfrik
Alarrielle vs Morathi vs Fay
Definitely wanna see Kroq-Gar in one of these, but I don't know who would be a fitting opponent. Settra the Imperishable? Louen Leoncoeur? Wulfrik the Wanderer? HELMAN GHORST?

I can't see Malekith beating archaon in lore. Also dhorgoth i think i spelled that wrong but anyway he can shapeshift and turn into a flying beast that is so insanely fast that a dragon couldn't hit him also WAAAAGGGHHHH
I'd like to see fights between characters who normally wouldn't fight.
My crazy duel proposal: The Empire and Bretonia are having a diplomatic meeting, drink is flowing and boasts are being made. Tempers flare and challenges are thrown down between Emperor Karl Franz and King Louen Leoncoeur. quickly their ambassadors step in to defuse the situation, and the it is agreed honour will be settled through the modern pentathalon. Without any magical equipment the two heads of state will compete at swimming, running, horse riding, shooting and then fencing with blunted blades.
You realise that King Louen is a grail knight right? Its like a spacemarine vs a normal person.
What you should do is have the lords in question fighting in the backround well you talk and then if one wins that you dont think should have talk about the mechanical reason and manye a short bit about if the lord could use some more armor or something to better represent there feats

Well... They arguably aren't even remotely as magnificent as Sigvald. I mean, the dude defeated an entire army that was out to murder him simply by being so handsome and fancy that they couldn't actually attack him....
@@darthplagueis13 Keepers are able to shapeshift and simply force people's minds to find them attractive and irresistible.
Well... He'd probably not be able to seduce her, considering she's now a Khornite daemon but I think he may be just a bit too powerful to end up on her shield. Being one of the favoured servants of Slaanesh he's about the same rank as Valkia and unlike the Keeper he doesn't have to rely on his personal talents alone (also he is not to be underestimated just as a combatant - he turned Krell into a big pile of bone meal with his bare hands in a moment of rage, although admittedly that moment was seconds before he was smashed into mush by Throgg...) but also on his gear and Slaaneshes blessings.
Isn’t Tyrion’s sword, sunfang, as hot as the sun? That is what it says within the 8th edition army book and would explain why he is able to easily body beings that could shake the planet with their presence (Greater Daemons).
Yep, it supposedly uses the fire of the sun. Plus, it burns hotter than normal in his hands.

One of the biggest things that Grimgor has going for him is surprise factor. Orc Warlords, even absolutely HUGE ones are very predictable in what they bring to the field. In terms of dueling they really are just a very simple equation of 'Can I get around their strength and superior reach reliably enough to wear them down before I run out of steam and take a decisive hit?'
Grimgor breaks that mold completely. While Tyrion is certainly superior to Grimgor in both speed and skill, its not by that much, and I don't think he would be ready for the speed and skill that he does bring to the field along with his overpowering strength and stamina. Basically, by the time Tyrion realized what he was up again, I think he would have already taken at least one hit, and because hes so fragile compared to Grimgor, that one hit would decide the fight in the long run.
In a battle where they both knew one another's abilities going in it would be much closer, but in any normal fight where they encountered one another in the world Tyrion would look at Grimgor and go "Right, an Orc Warlord, this is going to be tedious." And probably discover his mistake to late.
If you read the Tyrion and Teclis novels Tyrion generally thinks very little of non elves, and essentially only takes the Dark Elves and Demons seriously as opponents.
What I really would like to see is you guys talking about the duel and then ACTUALLY PLAYING it in TWWH to see if it is true to the lore^^

I have a feeling that you sort of underplay Tyrion here. His showings that you mentioned are like when he is 16yo or something and when he is like a 100yo. At 200 or 500, not to mention 800 he would more and more resemble Aenarion (although you are excluding sword of khaine stuff) so he should be somewhat faster and mainly more skilled thank before. It's equivalent to judging Karl Franz when he was 8yo or even Archaon when he was 16 or even hundred. But yeah, great video nonetheless
I'd Like to see Kholek vs Durthu. Two of the most ancient beings. Or Kholek vs Skarbrand. We need some mage matchups also. Teclis, Mazdamundi, Kairos, Morathi and match ups between those 4 would be awesome.
Kharzrak bonus info: He's that intelligent because he is actualy a Myrddrall magician who took over the body and brain of Kharzrak. Khazrak is actualy long dead and just his hull is beeing used.

I was pretty undecided on the closer matchups, but I agree with the logic used there. my main thoughts on the Ungrim v Throgg fight was that I remembered that Gotrek fought Throgg and was winning, and I was pretty sure Ungrim was better then Gotrek. though that logic might be flawed. I would love to see Teclis vs the fairest match up for him
Gotrek likely is actually a stronger fighter than Ungrim. His Axe made him Super Dwarf, so to say. It just wouldnt be as interesting to read a "X-Slayer" book in which Gotrek just curbstomps the monster of the week.

This was fantastic, I follow most lore from 5th to 8th edition and I agree with all the choices here... I cant think of anyone capable of beating Grimgor 1 on 1 other than maybe the Bloodthirster character whose name escapes me at the moment... Even then it would be close.

You forgot to mention how The Everchosen would have four rather powerful gods looking over his shoulder...including essentially the source of magic itself!
If we're talking game-wise, then sure. But lore-wise? Then I'd argue Ungrim to only be the penultimate Slayer with our friend, the friendly Gotrek, son of Gurni taking the throne as the ultimate Slayer.
