There's a special synergy between Xueyi and Tingyun that I haven't heard anyone talk about Tingyun's benediction makes your DPS do an extra hit of 40% Lightning Damage when they attack, and 60% when Tingyun attacks. As far as I know, this completely borrows your character's stats. On most non-Lightning characters, the damage will be really low because they won't build Lightning DMG bonus%. However, on Xueyi, her passive gives her a bunch of universal DMG bonus%, meaning it affects Tingyun's benediction hits, making it do WAY more damage than normal. In fact, it's sort of equivalent to just adding +40% multiplier to Xueyi's attacks, which is HUGE considering how low her multipliers are by themselves (although benediction is single-target). Xueyi's skill does 140% multiplier against the main target, and adding Benediction's 40% hit makes for a whopping 28.5% OVERALL damage increase! Only against the main target though In theory this works with Lightning characters too but in practice our strongest Lightning characters are either AoE focused or don't build much crit (JingYuan, Serval, Kafka), so right now, Xueyi seems to be the best for driving Benediction hits.
@@albertofrederickimana8046 On Qingque, since she doesn't keep her damage buff, it only buffs the Benediction hit that happens on her turn, and not on Tingyun's turn (which is actually where the bigger Benediction multiplier is). But you're definitely right that it gives big buffs to the hit on QQ's turn. I still think Xueyi is the best as a Benediction driver, but some other characters that benefit it are: - Imbibitor Lunae (Crit & Dmg%; only during his turn) - Yanqing (Crit; both for his turn and Tingyun's) - Seele (Dmg%; only during her turn) - Arlan (Dmg%; both for his turn and Tingyun's) Blade and Jingliu technically benefit it with Dmg% and Crit Rate respectively, but Blade doesn't build ATK and Jingliu's ATK bonuses from Spectral Transmigration don't apply to Benediction's hits, so it ends up doing lower damage.
You even forgot that, the dmg from the ally, is also proportional to the ally's crit dmg% as well. So even that one would crit, supposed that your DPS has good crit rate and crit dmg, and can do like, 20-30k. That's what I saw when pairing her with Dr Ratio, a crit to abt 30k average. This would mean that, it's not just the universal dmg%, but also the crit dmg% as well. So a decent build on Xueyi with good crit stats, and she's gonna perform really well on that passive hit not just bc of the dmg%.
I've become addicted to Xueyi + Ruan Mei. Planning Xueyi's ult and follow up to break a boss is awesome. It's like building to a crescendo, and the timing of it creates a new combat strategy and a new playstyle. I love it. Thanks so much for the informative video. Now I'm off to farm some ATK boots for my android assassin.
lmao same, although I'm relatively new to the game I managed to get Ruan Mei + E6 Xueyi, got some copies of Pela and Lynx and had been using these 4 in one team. the way my lvl 60 Xueyi dealt 30k crit after a proper setup is wild to me but idk if that dmg is good enough but it was so good to me lol
She’s a different character at E6. Just like Blade, anytime you lessen a characters requirement to activate their main mechanic you make the character significantly better.

Hoyoverse really needs to show how much toughness damage each attack deals. They also need to put a numerical value on the enemies toughness bar for clarity. I honestly dont know why they dont do this.
This was the best vid on Xueyi I've seen actually helpful and explained very well. I spent over 50 potions to farm for her and she's still so weak lol. Now I know how to fix it

I've seen other analysis videos with charts comparing salsotto and Talia planar sets, with Talia coming out on top in terms of damage output (if you hit the speed target), but I love how you explained the best stat rolls for her

Great guide, Dreamy! I’m probably gonna ask you in a DM anyway, buuuuuut if her DMG on the board is influenced more by her crit build, then what exactly happens with her A2? Is it worthless or is there a sweet spot to further enhance the DMG?
The issue is that the DMG% gets stacked too fast with just her own traces and a BE rope. Then add some random BE rolls, she will have more than enough DMG% source from herself. Then you add supports that gives DMG%, it just makes CRIT/CDMG have much much more value. Xueyi especially with Fall of an Aeon is just having so much problems trying to build her critical stats.
The problem is that it doesn't matter how much toughness the allies break she always get only 1 stack from them, but if she is the one depleting the toughness bar she can get more than 1 stack at time
Guess there's a silver lining in getting one copy o Under the Night Sky at S5. Sadly, only March's Eidolons so far, but I'm already happy to have E0 Xueyi. Thank you for the guide! It answered my questions on why it is recommended Atk% Orb and Atk% Boots.
You're absolutely my favorite TC. This video solved my lingering doubts, even after seeing so many guides, clear videos and playing her myself. Gonna run Xueyi with Atk boots and use Under the Blue Sky. Running that LC felt like it made so much sense, but everyone else is suggesting Aeon instead, when we all can clearly see that her Atk multipliers are bad.
Aeon is actually her best LC, there is no doubt about it. Just that the low CRIT makes it feel horrible to play Xueyi. Meanwhile, Under The Blue Sky or even DHIL's signature already gives free CRIT and seeing consistent CRITs, getting buffed by 3 Broken Keels would definitely show a much better performance for Xueyi.
I'm gonna wait for the misha LC in 2.0,having invest in the moles s5 LC because my under the blue sky is s1,kinda regret it but i dont wanna waste energy upgrade another lightcone that i may ditch later
Ok so Talia is worse because you say the 8% crate is more value on a team than the 36% BE/DMG% because of overload? Because neither the ult or FuA dmg compete, you also say speed boots are worse and recommend Hanya but what if a person wants to do SW/Ruan for example, I feel what you're saying makes surface level sense considering the 55%/45% split but I am not sure a Xueyi is doing less damage if they just use fall, speed boots and Talia and have RM get them 147 for more hits for more toughness break... you don't have to respond I'm just puzzled that's all
When you consider that an endgame setup usually involves all 3 supports equipped with Broken Keel, this makes the 8% CRIT from Salsotto have more value. Not to mention, Xueyi literally has no other sources of CRIT, you build it from the ground. This experience is especially worse if you don't use Brighter Than The Sun or Under The Blue Sky. Some of the best solo carry supports provides too much DMG% like Bronya and Ruan Mei, this makes Xueyi even more hungrier for ATK% and any critical stat boost. Luckily, Bronya not only gives extra actions for Xueyi but also that much needed CDMG that Xueyi is heavily lacking.
With just a break rope you already reach 100% BE. Add in E4 for 40% BE and then 6 substat rolls and you're at 170 BE. Then add in 8% quantum from traces and 10% from quantum set and you're close to 190. Crit substats are each worth around 2% increase in damage, peaking at 70/140, and don't fall off too much before you reach 100/200. At +190% damage, the average break substat of 5.8% is a 2% increase. It's already roughly on par with crit stats, but if you're stuck with a light cone that gives you damage, or if you have Ruan Mei, who increases that by 88%, break falls off even more in value. Well, that's looking at just the direct damage anyway. I don't have the resources to build Xueyi yet so I can't say how much her entanglement and break damage factors into the equation. I've seen the 55/45 split but I don't know how that actually holds up in MoC. I suspect that the higher numbers in Talia set will make up for the differences somewhat as long as you're not overcapping break effect, and then it boils down to the quality of your substats.
@@LisaraScarlet I respect your opinion and acknowledge your calculator and results, but I think it depends on the account and the ways a person wants to use Xueyi. I envisioned Xueyi with SW/Pela Fu and E1 RM to truly tap into the def shred value with Fall helping her ATK and her getting more benefit from another damage source over overloading her with other harmonies on damage% like Bronya, and into breaking enemies quickly to then nuking them with the high BE breaks while what you're describing is more focused on her upfront damage rather than her quantum burst. I do not like the idea of using her with Tingyun when her energy needs are low to nonexistent, or building Hanya just for her when I don't have her E4, I don't own a crit boosting destruction LC so I also sadly can't replicate what you're saying and don't appreciate Under the blue sky's conditional, nor do I like the idea of dropping speed boots if I want to use her in weird setups like Himeko RM in SU for example which deny me versatility and make me rely on external chars or switching gear out for the basic extra actions and I am neither obsessed with Broken Keel/prefer using Vonquack on my tingyun for example to enable the 3T ult rotation for Argenti for example. I'll consider your inert salsotto idea however as I can see the argument you already are overloaded enough in BE in theory Thank you for guide, taking time to reply and your insight 🙏🏻
Wouldn't the damage distributions not take into account entaglement damage? So for example getting more crit rolls is stronger than getting break effect rolls but break rolls are double dipping into entanglment dmg as well. Or this was already calculated in?

Maybe it’s good for the extra delay if you are running no sustain with Ryan mei, but yeah now that I think about it the extra damage even if you were to break every elite mob is still not much

So Xueyi's best 4* lightcone (blue sky) is actually her own light cone! I'd already rolled a decent talia set before leveling her, but I will probably switch to salsotto after watching this, which happens to have my best BE+crit rope. I think my speed boots should be good enough since I've left the quantum mines to work on ascensions and traces.

Honestly, I decided to do 2 10-pulls to get my Xueyi to E6 after watching the video. I feel like she's very fun to play even though we have good Quantum DPS as well. Hopefully, I'll be able to build her after I escape the speed set grind for my Bronya.
Sup Lisara I’m building my harmony mc now, not gonna use Ruan. But I was wondering if my break asta is good with the team for super breaks. Or would sparkle be better? Currently she’s at 145 wind set lol if I use my bronya gear she would be 134.
The 8% critical chance increase has its value increased because the more you stack ATK% and DMG% buffs, the more your critical multiplers lag behind. You also improve its value by getting multiple Broken Keels on your supports. If she is with Bronya, the CDMG buff of Bronya also increases the value of that 8% crit.
Since the lc has been out for a while now, would you say indelible promise is better than aeon for her these days? Or should I just keep aeon on her? Also would quantum damage be fine on the sphere? Or is it a lot worse than atk%?
I see, i must admit, i got her kit entirely wrong lol. After some unsuccessful playing and frantic reading on what's wrong, I suspected her E6 may be a huge part.
One of the best designed characters, I love baddass cute android girls + her kit is unique and is the best 4 star units alongside tingyun, unfortunately didn't get her e6 but got e2 Ruan Mei which is a fantastic addition to any team

@@CrizDig0 Based on solo damage calculations, it is around 15% weaker than S5 Fall of an Aeon. Blade's LC doesn't work since it has low base ATK. 68% CRIT? Using which LC? If that's with S5 Aeon, then those stats should be okay.

lets say you have two dance3 S1 LCs. Are you better off using them on two harmony characters separately in a team or superimpose it and put it on one? I feel like not superimposing should be better but I don't know, I haven't looked at the math.
It really depends on what team you're trying to create. For example, Tingyun alone is typically equipped with Cogs so she can maintain a 3-turn SP positive rotation. 2x DDD requires a lot of planning and speed tuning.
Did you take Break damage into account in your calcs? I couldn't tell exactly from the sheet. I think that can potentially put slightly more priority on Break Effect rather than Crit (ofc Crit shouldn't be ignored). Also, would you still suggest ATK% Boots with little to no Speed buffs from allies?
You can actually try and test calculating break effect damage with very high break effect stats, the damage increase is just pathetic and not worth it. For the other question, as long as she is reaching at least 134 speed.
I actually commited every mistake Dreamy pointed out, having speed boots, not using Salsotto, using too many characters to deplet toughness, etc. I still managed to clear MOC 12 with Xueyi/SW/Fu Xuan/Ruan Mei on 2nd half, but I still felt that she was sort of weak. Now I know what sort of ajustments I should do and see if my Xueyi's damage gets improve. Thanks Dreamy for this guide and winning the tournament which was absolutely insane.
Question: I'm conflicted as to which 2nd support to run her with (Ruan Mei being the first). My options are Hanya, Tingyun and Bronya. What I was thinking is that Tingyun would be good for brute forcing non-quantum weak enemies, as her ult regain would allow Xueyi to spam her ultimate more. Hanya would then be used for team comps against quantum weak enemies. Could you provide your opinion on this if possible?
Great content and concise.. pure f2p here.. which one is better to build? E4 QQ or E4 Xueyi? Both are unbuilt in my roster now.. would like to have quantum dps.. also which one is better at E6? Noteable well built characters : E0S0 Fu Xuan, E0S0 Huo Huo, E0S0 DHIL, E0S1 Jingliu, E0S1 Blade E0S1, E0S1 Bronya (134spd), E0S0 Ruan Mei, E1S0 Gepard, E6 Ting Yun, E3 Pela, E6 Asta, E4 Lynx Don't know if it matters but I will try to get Sparkle as well.. As you can see I like the playstyle of blast destruction unit.. Or maybe.. have you had any dreams regarding 5* quantum dps in the near future, Dreamy? 😂
Why did you give her break effect rope rather than quantum dmg bonus? Also, could you explain why crit and atk is needed if you can just add on dmg bonus? I was js wondering bc I don't really get it😅
You can't have a Quantum DMG rope. You need to build crit because it is a whole separate multiplier and the amount of damage you can get from it is pretty massive. Stacking to 240% DMG just causes diminishing returns.

Are there any other dps characters that have this issue of dmg% being effectively useless on them compared to atk?

I already have e0s1 seele but also wanted to build an aoe quantum dps so I was initially considering building my e2 xeuyi rather than my e6 qq since I assumed xueyi would be a lot simpler to play; but all this toughness management and xueyi wanting to be the one to reduce them rather than her teammates feels like more extra thinking compared to just hoping to get 4 of the same tiles for qq. on second thought, I'll stick to the gremlin instead. thanks for clarifying her kit.
thanks for the Guide, i was using speed bots with Glamoth's Planar set (135 speed = 12% dmg) since i also use Hanya to achieve 160 speed. Sadly, because of this, i gave up a lot of crit (68 r / 105 d) and only have 120 Be.
Definitely Xueyi because she is a lot less RNG to play. What I hate about playing Qingque personally is that I can't literally predict what's gonna happen in the run.
Thanks for the guide! The A2 major trace really makes you presume that maxing out on Break Effect would be good; it's nice to learn that it's not really the optimal path and it's mroe of a bonus rather than something you should actually focus on.

I think this is a great guide, but mostly for an expensive / lucky Xueyi. Maybe one day I'll come back here, but until then, I'm gonna go have to look for tips on building budget / unlucky Xueyi 🤣
What should I use for supports because I dont have hanya or fu xuan. Right now im using ruan mei, huohuo and pela with xueyi, idk if that works. Any suggestions for a better team comps or other possible options?
Sounds like a decent team. You might wanna use SPD boots on Xueyi for that team though. You might wanna build Asta instead and swap Pela out so Xueyi could use an ATK% boots. Asta also provides big ATK% boost which Xueyi needs anyways.

I'd like to know what's your opinion on energy rope for xueyi. I know most dps doesnt want energy rope and i'm too early in the game to test that out, but i really thought that was kinda promissing.

I did say that you use ATK boots on Xueyi then use turn manipulators whether they increase speed or give advance forwards. So yea, just use any turn manipulators.
Just curious because I have yet to see the question get asked: Why an attack % orb? I can understand that Xueyi scales well off the Break% more than the Atk% rope, and ERR her does barely anything to matter, but my understanding is that usually an elemental orb always outdoes an ATK% orb. Anything special about an attack orb on Xueyi that changes that assumption? Also, amazing guide! I sadly am stuck at E5 on my robo rogue, but as soon as I get E6, Im running back to this guide to build her Pronto!
It’s because of her Bonus Ability “Clairvoyant Loom,” which converts 100% of Xueyi’s break effect to Damage Bonus-up to 240%. Xueyi would by default have quite high Break effect, with a Break effect rope and the amount she gets from traces. It’s pretty easy for her to have 80+ break effect which means she’ll have a lot of Dmg Bonus. Combine all this with the fact that she gains no Atk from traces and doesn’t run an Atk% Rope, it’s quite fitting that an Atk% orb would outperform Quantom Damage Boost on her.

Would ATK% boots be better for Xueyi even she is at 134 base speed along with the 10% speed boost Ruan Mei’s talent provides, making the final speed 145, and thus giving her the Talia planar ornament’s extra 20% break effect?
You need a minimum of 136 speed to reach talia's 145 requirement using ruan mei's talent alone. Also, Ruan Mei's talent takes into account base speed alone which is 103 for Xueyi. Boots are not Base speed.
@@LocoDS49 I meant base speed as in speed before Ruan Mei’s talent. 134 is the minimum for 145 speed with the talent: 134-103= 31 (SPD boots and 6 speed in substats) 103*1,1=113,3 113,3+31=144,3 The game rounds up 144,3 to 145, thus meeting the conditions for Talia
Losing 43% ATK is just too much, you'll definitely notice this on your Xueyi's performance. But if there's really no one in the team that is giving her speed, then go use SPD boots.
Does she still want to use atk% boots? And if I have hanya, 134 bronya, tingyun, and ruan Mei built who should I choose for the team? I’m thinking xueyi, ruan Mei, tingyun and then fu xuan for the faster ults

@@LisaraScarlet hey ive been using tingyun for a while now and i think the new team is going to be HMC and Ruan Mei and Gallagher(i don't have so I'm using fu xuan) i have a question that you might be able to answer though, do we still go hybrid build or do we go all in on super break and go full BE and speed build to get to breaking faster and applying super break damage faster and harder? i feel like the crit after they are broken doesn't matter because super break isnt effected by that but i also feel like this only works if we can break very quickly because with no crit the damage before the break is nothing. what are your thoughts on this? thanks for any help you can provide!
If there's no other speed manipulator than Ruan Mei, you'd probably want Xueyi to reach 134 speed at least which means you'll have to use a speed boots. No more attack boots.
Should I still not build Xueyi even when I struggle in AoE scenario with Seele? She couldn't do enough damage against those swarm bugs to proc her resurgence and I find that quite annoying to deal with... Or do I just keep investing more on Seele instead?
If your Seele isn't meeting the damage breakpoints needed, it would be better to buff her up more rather than bringing another damage dealer. So yea, just work on Seele more.
Great video! . Its sad that the one thing that seems interesting to me, the ability to attack enemies with no cuantum resistance and damage that resistances with the ult (and the extra attack after 2d eidolon) doesnt make her viable or usefull in a team like that. Maybe with silverwolf to force quantum resistance? and even so i dont think that gonna work :(

In fact, it's sort of equivalent to just adding +40% multiplier to Xueyi's attacks, which is HUGE considering how low her multipliers are by themselves (although benediction is single-target).
Xueyi's skill does 140% multiplier against the main target, and adding Benediction's 40% hit makes for a whopping 28.5% OVERALL damage increase! Only against the main target though
In theory this works with Lightning characters too but in practice our strongest Lightning characters are either AoE focused or don't build much crit (JingYuan, Serval, Kafka), so right now, Xueyi seems to be the best for driving Benediction hits.

@@albertofrederickimana8046 On Qingque, since she doesn't keep her damage buff, it only buffs the Benediction hit that happens on her turn, and not on Tingyun's turn (which is actually where the bigger Benediction multiplier is). But you're definitely right that it gives big buffs to the hit on QQ's turn.
I still think Xueyi is the best as a Benediction driver, but some other characters that benefit it are:
- Imbibitor Lunae (Crit & Dmg%; only during his turn)
- Yanqing (Crit; both for his turn and Tingyun's)
- Seele (Dmg%; only during her turn)
- Arlan (Dmg%; both for his turn and Tingyun's)
Blade and Jingliu technically benefit it with Dmg% and Crit Rate respectively, but Blade doesn't build ATK and Jingliu's ATK bonuses from Spectral Transmigration don't apply to Benediction's hits, so it ends up doing lower damage.
You even forgot that, the dmg from the ally, is also proportional to the ally's crit dmg% as well. So even that one would crit, supposed that your DPS has good crit rate and crit dmg, and can do like, 20-30k. That's what I saw when pairing her with Dr Ratio, a crit to abt 30k average.
This would mean that, it's not just the universal dmg%, but also the crit dmg% as well. So a decent build on Xueyi with good crit stats, and she's gonna perform really well on that passive hit not just bc of the dmg%.
I've become addicted to Xueyi + Ruan Mei. Planning Xueyi's ult and follow up to break a boss is awesome. It's like building to a crescendo, and the timing of it creates a new combat strategy and a new playstyle. I love it. Thanks so much for the informative video. Now I'm off to farm some ATK boots for my android assassin.
lmao same, although I'm relatively new to the game I managed to get Ruan Mei + E6 Xueyi, got some copies of Pela and Lynx and had been using these 4 in one team. the way my lvl 60 Xueyi dealt 30k crit after a proper setup is wild to me but idk if that dmg is good enough but it was so good to me lol

She’s a different character at E6. Just like Blade, anytime you lessen a characters requirement to activate their main mechanic you make the character significantly better.

Hoyoverse really needs to show how much toughness damage each attack deals. They also need to put a numerical value on the enemies toughness bar for clarity.
I honestly dont know why they dont do this.

Great guide, Dreamy! I’m probably gonna ask you in a DM anyway, buuuuuut if her DMG on the board is influenced more by her crit build, then what exactly happens with her A2? Is it worthless or is there a sweet spot to further enhance the DMG?
The issue is that the DMG% gets stacked too fast with just her own traces and a BE rope. Then add some random BE rolls, she will have more than enough DMG% source from herself. Then you add supports that gives DMG%, it just makes CRIT/CDMG have much much more value. Xueyi especially with Fall of an Aeon is just having so much problems trying to build her critical stats.

2:02 the talent also counts other allies breaking toughness
The problem is that it doesn't matter how much toughness the allies break she always get only 1 stack from them, but if she is the one depleting the toughness bar she can get more than 1 stack at time

You're absolutely my favorite TC. This video solved my lingering doubts, even after seeing so many guides, clear videos and playing her myself.
Gonna run Xueyi with Atk boots and use Under the Blue Sky. Running that LC felt like it made so much sense, but everyone else is suggesting Aeon instead, when we all can clearly see that her Atk multipliers are bad.
Aeon is actually her best LC, there is no doubt about it. Just that the low CRIT makes it feel horrible to play Xueyi. Meanwhile, Under The Blue Sky or even DHIL's signature already gives free CRIT and seeing consistent CRITs, getting buffed by 3 Broken Keels would definitely show a much better performance for Xueyi.

Ok so Talia is worse because you say the 8% crate is more value on a team than the 36% BE/DMG% because of overload? Because neither the ult or FuA dmg compete, you also say speed boots are worse and recommend Hanya but what if a person wants to do SW/Ruan for example, I feel what you're saying makes surface level sense considering the 55%/45% split but I am not sure a Xueyi is doing less damage if they just use fall, speed boots and Talia and have RM get them 147 for more hits for more toughness break... you don't have to respond I'm just puzzled that's all
When you consider that an endgame setup usually involves all 3 supports equipped with Broken Keel, this makes the 8% CRIT from Salsotto have more value. Not to mention, Xueyi literally has no other sources of CRIT, you build it from the ground. This experience is especially worse if you don't use Brighter Than The Sun or Under The Blue Sky. Some of the best solo carry supports provides too much DMG% like Bronya and Ruan Mei, this makes Xueyi even more hungrier for ATK% and any critical stat boost. Luckily, Bronya not only gives extra actions for Xueyi but also that much needed CDMG that Xueyi is heavily lacking.

With just a break rope you already reach 100% BE. Add in E4 for 40% BE and then 6 substat rolls and you're at 170 BE.
Then add in 8% quantum from traces and 10% from quantum set and you're close to 190.
Crit substats are each worth around 2% increase in damage, peaking at 70/140, and don't fall off too much before you reach 100/200.
At +190% damage, the average break substat of 5.8% is a 2% increase. It's already roughly on par with crit stats, but if you're stuck with a light cone that gives you damage, or if you have Ruan Mei, who increases that by 88%, break falls off even more in value.
Well, that's looking at just the direct damage anyway. I don't have the resources to build Xueyi yet so I can't say how much her entanglement and break damage factors into the equation. I've seen the 55/45 split but I don't know how that actually holds up in MoC.
I suspect that the higher numbers in Talia set will make up for the differences somewhat as long as you're not overcapping break effect, and then it boils down to the quality of your substats.
@@LisaraScarlet I respect your opinion and acknowledge your calculator and results, but I think it depends on the account and the ways a person wants to use Xueyi. I envisioned Xueyi with SW/Pela Fu and E1 RM to truly tap into the def shred value with Fall helping her ATK and her getting more benefit from another damage source over overloading her with other harmonies on damage% like Bronya, and into breaking enemies quickly to then nuking them with the high BE breaks while what you're describing is more focused on her upfront damage rather than her quantum burst.
I do not like the idea of using her with Tingyun when her energy needs are low to nonexistent, or building Hanya just for her when I don't have her E4, I don't own a crit boosting destruction LC so I also sadly can't replicate what you're saying and don't appreciate Under the blue sky's conditional, nor do I like the idea of dropping speed boots if I want to use her in weird setups like Himeko RM in SU for example which deny me versatility and make me rely on external chars or switching gear out for the basic extra actions and I am neither obsessed with Broken Keel/prefer using Vonquack on my tingyun for example to enable the 3T ult rotation for Argenti for example. I'll consider your inert salsotto idea however as I can see the argument you already are overloaded enough in BE in theory

Wouldn't the damage distributions not take into account entaglement damage? So for example getting more crit rolls is stronger than getting break effect rolls but break rolls are double dipping into entanglment dmg as well. Or this was already calculated in?
The gains from extra entanglement damage is too small.

So Xueyi's best 4* lightcone (blue sky) is actually her own light cone! I'd already rolled a decent talia set before leveling her, but I will probably switch to salsotto after watching this, which happens to have my best BE+crit rope. I think my speed boots should be good enough since I've left the quantum mines to work on ascensions and traces.

Can you explain what you mean by salsotto > talia when team composition is considered?
The 8% critical chance increase has its value increased because the more you stack ATK% and DMG% buffs, the more your critical multiplers lag behind. You also improve its value by getting multiple Broken Keels on your supports. If she is with Bronya, the CDMG buff of Bronya also increases the value of that 8% crit.
Since the lc has been out for a while now, would you say indelible promise is better than aeon for her these days? Or should I just keep aeon on her? Also would quantum damage be fine on the sphere? Or is it a lot worse than atk%?
Indelible Promise is better for sure. Quantum sphere is fine but it is noticeably worse than ATK.

Yea it is not 100% compatible with her but I really like the free CRIT considering Xueyi struggles to build high CRIT chance.

@@CrizDig0 Based on solo damage calculations, it is around 15% weaker than S5 Fall of an Aeon. Blade's LC doesn't work since it has low base ATK.

lets say you have two dance3 S1 LCs. Are you better off using them on two harmony characters separately in a team or superimpose it and put it on one? I feel like not superimposing should be better but I don't know, I haven't looked at the math.
It really depends on what team you're trying to create. For example, Tingyun alone is typically equipped with Cogs so she can maintain a 3-turn SP positive rotation. 2x DDD requires a lot of planning and speed tuning.

Did you take Break damage into account in your calcs? I couldn't tell exactly from the sheet. I think that can potentially put slightly more priority on Break Effect rather than Crit (ofc Crit shouldn't be ignored). Also, would you still suggest ATK% Boots with little to no Speed buffs from allies?
You can actually try and test calculating break effect damage with very high break effect stats, the damage increase is just pathetic and not worth it. For the other question, as long as she is reaching at least 134 speed.

I actually commited every mistake Dreamy pointed out, having speed boots, not using Salsotto, using too many characters to deplet toughness, etc. I still managed to clear MOC 12 with Xueyi/SW/Fu Xuan/Ruan Mei on 2nd half, but I still felt that she was sort of weak. Now I know what sort of ajustments I should do and see if my Xueyi's damage gets improve. Thanks Dreamy for this guide and winning the tournament which was absolutely insane.

Question: I'm conflicted as to which 2nd support to run her with (Ruan Mei being the first). My options are Hanya, Tingyun and Bronya. What I was thinking is that Tingyun would be good for brute forcing non-quantum weak enemies, as her ult regain would allow Xueyi to spam her ultimate more. Hanya would then be used for team comps against quantum weak enemies. Could you provide your opinion on this if possible?
Hanya could probably replaced better by a DEF shredder like Pela or Silver Wolf.

You can't have a Quantum DMG rope. You need to build crit because it is a whole separate multiplier and the amount of damage you can get from it is pretty massive. Stacking to 240% DMG just causes diminishing returns.

She already has a ton of dmg% bonus, you want atk so the hit actually does something before the multiplier.

I already have e0s1 seele but also wanted to build an aoe quantum dps so I was initially considering building my e2 xeuyi rather than my e6 qq since I assumed xueyi would be a lot simpler to play; but all this toughness management and xueyi wanting to be the one to reduce them rather than her teammates feels like more extra thinking compared to just hoping to get 4 of the same tiles for qq. on second thought, I'll stick to the gremlin instead. thanks for clarifying her kit.
thanks for the Guide, i was using speed bots with Glamoth's Planar set (135 speed = 12% dmg) since i also use Hanya to achieve 160 speed. Sadly, because of this, i gave up a lot of crit (68 r / 105 d) and only have 120 Be.

Sounds like a decent team. You might wanna use SPD boots on Xueyi for that team though. You might wanna build Asta instead and swap Pela out so Xueyi could use an ATK% boots. Asta also provides big ATK% boost which Xueyi needs anyways.
With the introduction of HMC and super break does it now make sense to use break planar and break relic set over quantum and salsatto?
You will lose too much damage by focusing too much on break effect even with super break available.

It is still viable for sure but if you want to know Xueyi's current best team setup, that should be with Tingyun, Ruan Mei and Sparkle.

I'd like to know what's your opinion on energy rope for xueyi. I know most dps doesnt want energy rope and i'm too early in the game to test that out, but i really thought that was kinda promissing.
Removing BE rope is a huge damage loss.
If I have both s5 Aeon and s5 blue sky, which one should I use on Xueyi? I already got aeon maxed
I often use Xueyi with e6 tingyun and bronya with a flex sustain like bailu
I honestly would prefer Blue Sky if I can maintain its effect since its really hard to get high crit ratio for Xueyi. S5 Aeon is actually strong on Xueyi, just that yea, you'll have issues building crit.
I'm not aware if you are ok with talking about leaks but i would like to ask. Do you think she will perform good in a mono quantum team with Sparkle, SW and Fu Xuan because that's the team i plan to use for her
Mono element teams has always been pretty overrated. Team synergy should be prioritized. I don't look at leaks so I can't give my opinions on Sparkle.
does she still work as a sub-dps for breaking weakness faster in other teams? initially people were saying she was like xiangling in her versatility, but this makes it seem like she really only has one hypercarry team that's good for her since she's a selfish dps
If she goes into other teams, the only source of break is her ULT, no? Unless you are already fighting quantum weak enemies.

I did say that you use ATK boots on Xueyi then use turn manipulators whether they increase speed or give advance forwards. So yea, just use any turn manipulators.

Why an attack % orb? I can understand that Xueyi scales well off the Break% more than the Atk% rope, and ERR her does barely anything to matter, but my understanding is that usually an elemental orb always outdoes an ATK% orb. Anything special about an attack orb on Xueyi that changes that assumption?

It’s because of her Bonus Ability “Clairvoyant Loom,” which converts 100% of Xueyi’s break effect to Damage Bonus-up to 240%. Xueyi would by default have quite high Break effect, with a Break effect rope and the amount she gets from traces. It’s pretty easy for her to have 80+ break effect which means she’ll have a lot of Dmg Bonus. Combine all this with the fact that she gains no Atk from traces and doesn’t run an Atk% Rope, it’s quite fitting that an Atk% orb would outperform Quantom Damage Boost on her.

Would ATK% boots be better for Xueyi even she is at 134 base speed along with the 10% speed boost Ruan Mei’s talent provides, making the final speed 145, and thus giving her the Talia planar ornament’s extra 20% break effect?
You need a minimum of 136 speed to reach talia's 145 requirement using ruan mei's talent alone. Also, Ruan Mei's talent takes into account base speed alone which is 103 for Xueyi. Boots are not Base speed.
@@LocoDS49 I meant base speed as in speed before Ruan Mei’s talent. 134 is the minimum for 145 speed with the talent:
134-103= 31 (SPD boots and 6 speed in substats)
103*1,1=113,3
113,3+31=144,3
The game rounds up 144,3 to 145, thus meeting the conditions for Talia
Losing 43% ATK is just too much, you'll definitely notice this on your Xueyi's performance. But if there's really no one in the team that is giving her speed, then go use SPD boots.
Does she still want to use atk% boots? And if I have hanya, 134 bronya, tingyun, and ruan Mei built who should I choose for the team?

Your team idea is good. You should use Dance3x LC and 4pc Messenger on Tingyun so Xueyi can continue to use ATK boots.

so far my tingyun is at 2485 atk, 161 speed with DDD s3 but shes on 2 piece musket 2 piece hacker. i can farm that domain to get more pieces because i need to farm for hanya too.
i can also use hanya instead of tingyun if that is better?
i feel like ruan mei and fu xuan are lock on the team so i just need to choose whether i want hanya or tingyun.
with speed boots my xueyi is: 130 speed, 59.6/171.8 with 140.4 BE
with atk% boots my xueyi is: 105 speed, 62.5/164.6 with 140.4 BE

i have a question that you might be able to answer though, do we still go hybrid build or do we go all in on super break and go full BE and speed build to get to breaking faster and applying super break damage faster and harder?
i feel like the crit after they are broken doesn't matter because super break isnt effected by that but i also feel like this only works if we can break very quickly because with no crit the damage before the break is nothing.
what are your thoughts on this? thanks for any help you can provide!

E4 just gives Xueyi more DMG% which should make Salsotto even better compared to Talia.

If there's no other speed manipulator than Ruan Mei, you'd probably want Xueyi to reach 134 speed at least which means you'll have to use a speed boots. No more attack boots.

Should I still not build Xueyi even when I struggle in AoE scenario with Seele? She couldn't do enough damage against those swarm bugs to proc her resurgence and I find that quite annoying to deal with...
Or do I just keep investing more on Seele instead?
If your Seele isn't meeting the damage breakpoints needed, it would be better to buff her up more rather than bringing another damage dealer. So yea, just work on Seele more.
Great video! . Its sad that the one thing that seems interesting to me, the ability to attack enemies with no cuantum resistance and damage that resistances with the ult (and the extra attack after 2d eidolon) doesnt make her viable or usefull in a team like that. Maybe with silverwolf to force quantum resistance? and even so i dont think that gonna work :(
I do wanna raise a question, since Xueyi relies so heavily in doing mass burst damage, would Yukong work well for her?
Yukong is only good on very very specific situations. I wouldn't say she's good with Xueyi.
I'm indeed crying in only E1 Xueyi....
