I have been a big fan of yours for a long time. I had a stroke a little over four years ago, spent four days in intensive care, 19 weeks in a wheelchair, in rehab they asked me what my goal was. I said my goal was to stand in my boat and bass fish again, and through years of hard work and the love of my wife and her holding my hand every minute of every day, I am now back to tournament fishing. My wife of 48 yrs finally succumbed to ALS. I was her caregiver for 4 1/2 yrs. by her side 24/7. We prayed and cried together a lot. A lady came in a few days a week to clean and cook some meals. My wife had a feeding tube and was hooked up to all kinds of machines that helped her. The local ALS association came to help anytime I needed. Just great to have support. So Jimmy I know exactly what you are going through. Please remember that your health is important too. God bless you and your family!

I lived on a ventilator for four months. It was from January7th 2015- April 15th 2015 there are so many things you go through while on the ventilator. Most important thing is the distilled water for the humidity for her lungs. You don't want her to suffer from a mucus plug. Prayers for Chris for a speedy and full recovery.
Jimmy, I have no idea if you read these notes but IO want you to know that I am an 80 year old fisherman that has stood in your shoes. No one really knows what you are tight now unless they have been there themselves. I have. Let me assure you tha holding Chris's hand and talking to her, kissing her, sharing small talk with her, rubbing her arms and legs, etc . it all is some of the best healing medicine she can get. She knows exactly what you say and do. She is NOT without feelings or emotions. she is probably worrying about you too. She just can't express it yet. I did not get all of my wife back but I got enough. I hope God blesses you in the same manner. But what ever, it is God's will and He IS in charge.

My Brother I spent a year and a half in the hospital back in 2014 and half of 2015. They damaged my kidneys and I'm on dialysis now, but it has been all in HIS plan and HIS WILL. I LOVE HIM AND PRAISE HIM DAILY!!

My friend at church had a stroke over a year ago, He couldnt walk at first but eventually could with a cane. Today was his first day back at church walking without a cane! I'm living proof God can perform miracles. 2 years ago I suffered a massive heart attack, my heart stopped 3 times, my kidneys shut down and I was on life support for over a month. So I'm praying for Chris, for healing and comfort. comfort.

My wife of 48 yrs finally succumbed to ALS. I was her caregiver for 4 1/2 yrs. by her side 24/7. We prayed and cried together a lot. A lady came in a few days a week to clean and cook some meals. My wife had a feeding tube and was hooked up to all kinds of machines that helped her. The local ALS association came to help anytime I needed. Just great to have support. So Jimmy I know exactly what you are going through. Please remember that your health is important too. God bless you and your family!

I lived on a ventilator for four months. It was from January7th 2015- April 15th 2015 there are so many things you go through while on the ventilator. Most important thing is the distilled water for the humidity for her lungs. You don't want her to suffer from a mucus plug.

Jimmy, I have no idea if you read these notes but IO want you to know that I am an 80 year old fisherman that has stood in your shoes. No one really knows what you are tight now unless they have been there themselves. I have. Let me assure you tha holding Chris's hand and talking to her, kissing her, sharing small talk with her, rubbing her arms and legs, etc . it all is some of the best healing medicine she can get. She knows exactly what you say and do. She is NOT without feelings or emotions. she is probably worrying about you too. She just can't express it yet. I did not get all of my wife back but I got enough. I hope God blesses you in the same manner. But what ever, it is God's will and He IS in charge.
Read scripture to Chris too, and play your morning devotional for her. We are praying for you two.

I think that is the most frustrating thing for stroke victims. They can understand what they are hearing, but cannot express themselves.

@@DragonflyAcres2022 I’m 60 years old and I was sitting in my chair watching Jimmy look for her and I cried just knowing the pain he is in and when he found her it was all over for me. It’s said he will not put more on us than we can handle but it seem like they have a plate full. It just shows how good people they r . I think a lot of people has gotten a little closer to god in the last ten 12 days what ever it’s been now than what they was befor all of this so god has a plan and I thank u Jimmy and Chris for being strong enough to share your life (good bad and ugly) praise Jesus

My Brother I spent a year and a half in the hospital back in 2014 and half of 2015. They damaged my kidneys and I'm on dialysis now, but it has been all in HIS plan and HIS WILL.

Same with me. I found this channel because of the episode where Indy had just died. I was hooked watching Lucy and starting looking at old videos to catch up on her story. I always looked forward to Chris' Friday updates on the deer family. It is so interesting to see how deer can interact with people. Just loved it when Lucy would ride in the boat. I lost my husband in 2000 when he was 49yrs old and I lost my only child, my son the day after Christmas in 2017 from cancer. He was only 38 years old. My friend at church had a stroke over a year ago, He couldnt walk at first but eventually could with a cane. Today was his first day back at church walking without a cane! He has such a kind and loving heart that is growing and gloriying to God.

I'm living proof God can perform miracles. 2 years ago I suffered a massive heart attack, my heart stopped 3 times, my kidneys shut down and I was on life support for over a month. So I'm praying for Chris, for healing and comfort. comfort.

We’re currently getting him set up on an iPad to do games to help with the recovery of his brain. We have found so far they do physical therapy but no cognitive therapy with him.
