Akira Yamaoka is the coolest. When I heard this song at first, my impression was that, although he is the greatest composer in Video Games, he could not sing at all. However, after hearing this song a few times, it grew on me. Although the singing isn't great, the melody itself is fantastic. I had a hard time finding it in MP3...

I doubt the reason for him leaving Konami was because he himself thought he was 'too good' Konami does have limitations on what one can do in their career and Yamaoka wasn't getting enough exposure. He's a sheer genius!! and he needs to get out there and do his own thing.
