Are we allowed to take out personal laptop? The days we trek and stay in mountains.. do we get internet connectivity? Will it be possible to use our laptops for an hour or 2, everyday ?

Hey. You dont have to login to apply. Just go to the website and download the application and medical form. Fill in the details and send a DD of the required amount of the beneficiary's name and post it.
Call them or email them to inform that you have sent a form
After your amount is deposited, they will call or email you regarding the confirmation and also the course for which you are selected. Usually the waiting period is around 9-12 months at HMI. You can always request to shift the course if you want to.
