As a data scientist, this sums up the job profile. People have these ridiculous expectations from us and then get mad when they don’t see magic happening. Our jobs are just to analyze the data and develop models based on the dataset we’re able to access. But a lot of the times, upper management try and skew the data to make themselves look good and show the higher ups that their stupid ideas are actually working when in reality they’re not. So this scene is pretty much factual of how data analytics is.

Just because it's legal for one country, doesn't make it legal according to international law. The point, stupid as it may be, is that you are allowed to purge the people in your country, because both of you chose to remain there. You can't just launch nukes at X country and claim it was legal because purge.

She found out that they were fudging the numbers to make it seem like more people were purging, signifying that more people wanted the purge, thus increasing the likelihood of the experiment being deemed a success by the NFFA, thus guaranteeing future purges. So they killed her so that she couldn't tell people that the results were manipulated or outright fabricated.
Why is she complaining? Isn't this what she wanted?
No? She want to test her hypothesis, and if it does not match reality, then go back to the drawing board and try again. She doesn't want people to intentionally stage a situation that mimic her prediction.
