As a Martial Artist i'm gonna say it's decent, those are more fancy attacks, if it would have been more realistic like actual heavy or light attacks, that's an actual thing, and ofc you have to try to not even spin at all, but sometimes it's the only way to keep balance.
@@alyax- well of course this is the star wars universe, but even for it to be star wars, you can imagine how cool it was and still is cool seeing these flashy yet still damaging swings and cuts and stuff, they kinda found the perfect balance of realistic, yet also still having the people realize this is the star wars universe and you would not be spinning nearly as much as they do in star wars.

Little did they know while shooting ROTS, about 10 or so years later it would become one of the most beloved, quotable, and most watched Star Wars movies. ROTS will always be not just my favorite SW movie, but my all time favorite movie. Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor did an absolutely amazing job in this movie, and no one could have played Anakin and Obi-Wan better.
Hopefully hayden and Ewan reunite in the upcoming Kenobi series.

I personally prefer Matt as Anakin. That may just be because I like clone wars more than the movies but I liked the emotion more with Matt and the dynamic between him and Ahsoka because she's my favorite character. But there are some parts of the movies where I really like Hayden's acting. He was a great Anakin though even with the bad writing.

For people complaining that the end duel was “too much” “too fast” or “looked like a dance” is because obi wan knew every move anakin would make before he made them. Same with anakin. They trained together for YEARS you have to remember that. So it makes sense for the fight to look like that. They were great smh

To all those people that liked the Disney lightsaber duels for their "raw-ness," honestly it still looked like they were just swinging baseball bats at each other.
The Prequels showed how fast, agile and precise one could be with a saber in a duel, and they were so much better in that regard.
GravSuitGeek the prequels had epic fights. But i still like how the sequels did the fights because it’s pretty accurate to how a person would actually fight. But Yeah, for the Jedi in their prime, the prequel duels were the absolute best
It makes sense in the ot as the only people we see duel are an untrained boy ,a middle aged man in a restricted suit and just an old man,the sequels tried this but it makes no sense as kylo Ren had trained for years with a lightsaber alongside other Jedi

No one could have played Anakin like Hayden Christensen. And no one could have played Obi-Wan (young) like Ewan McGregor.
Anakin (Hayden Christensen) will always be the true Anakin for me. Even when I watch the clone wars cartoon I wish Hayden voiced Anakin, but Matt did an amazing job. Matt's voice and Hayden's face in Battlefront 2 is weird though

I agree. In an ideal world, for me at least, Hayden would've continued playing Anakin in The Clone Wars (possibly in live-action rather than animation). Matt Lanter does a fantastic job with the character as well, however, and that shouldn't be dismissed.

Seeing Ewan and Hayden train for the duel is so freaking cool. You can really see how much they care about how their performance looks and they look so dedicated. It really shows in the movie too

It was due to George Lucas' scriptwriting and directing.

They had an intense practice and all of this led to an epic fight between two great Chracters in Star Wars History and Ewan and Hayden were actually so good and fast, that they had to slow the duel down while editing the shots.
I need Hayden back for the obi wan series, just imagine he’s in the vader suit but the helmet is off, he’s contemplating life and what he should have been, he thinks back to mustafar and the moment obi wan slices his limbs off, he screams “Kenobi I will find you”, then it flashes back to obi wan who was just having a nightmare about the events on mustafar and he silently says “Anakin I miss you”

Revenge of the Sith... My second favorite Star Wars film and Attack of the clones is right behind A new Hope. I don’t think any of the prequels or acting is bad. Hayden is one of the best parts of 2 and 3. He played Anakin perfectly for me. Exactly how George wanted it too. A nervous Teen with hints of Anger and cockiness in Attack of the clones. A rage and anxiety filled adult that wants nothing more than to save his wife and future. I love it

I’m so sick of hearing “great actor, bad script isn’t their fault.” It’s like no one even tries to understand the nuances of the story before passing judgment. Anakin might’ve been hard to watch in AOTC but hell if his behavior wasn’t scary-accurate to some of the people we meet in the real world-“bad writing” my ass.

Mate the writing in general, and some of Anakin's lines were cringe AF!!!!!! There moments that the actor did good and perform almost perfectly and then is ruined because he had to day the most cringe thing... thats the problem of Lucas trying to do everything by himself... still much better than Disney's direction

Really, Hayden Christensen's flaw was his wooden delivery combined with the godawful Lucas patented dialogue. His facial expressions are top notch, and his physical presence conveys every feeling and complexity to his character that the dialogue fails to. Indeed, if you watch the movie dubbed in other languages (Spanish comes to mind), you really notice that.

fight scenes in the new star wars movies were practiced and filmed in just a few days, and you can see. there is no feel of authenticity in those disney's joke-films.

Wouldn't it have been nice if the sequels would've been about Luke becoming a better Jedi. Learning from the Force ghosts of Obi wan and his Father, in the OT the fights kinda sucked, but imagine if we got to see Force Ghost Anakin train Luke in Lightsabers Combat. Disney could have used so much emotion. But they flushed it all down the drain. Screw Rey, and Screw Disney.
